Not that I don't like it - most days, anyway. It has a lot of positive benefits. I love the people I support, I enjoy working with them and life is good. But I do.not.like.to.take.minutes. I know, I've said that before. sigh.
Had a 1.5 hour meeting at the end of the day yesterday and had to take minutes; had a two hour meeting this morning at which I had to take minutes. AND I was told to schedule an ALL DAY meeting next month and I have to attend it and yep, take minutes. UGH.
Then one of the doctors sends me an email and asks if I can schedule a series of meetings for him. (Sure, of course I can) and I'm praying he doesn't ask me to attend and take minutes. UGH. I don't support him, but for some reason he is asking me to set these up. And of course I will do what I can. I did send him a note back and said I would help however I could - HOWEVER, he will need to COMMUNICATE with me on what exactly he wants.
And - it is a good thing, and yet a bad thing - they are all remote/Teams meetings. Which means everyone calls in and you can see each other if you select the right icon. Sometimes that is fun cause you get to 'see' people you haven't seen in awhile. Most times after the meeting starts I turn off my camera cause I don't want nobody seeing me! I like to be quiet and in the corner. Don't remember I'm there.
Tonight is girls' night out and I'm hoping we will still meet. We have been meeting at my daughter's house since we don't meet at a restaurant now. At least there we don't have to wear a mask. We do sit a few feet apart but that is just the way the furniture is. It feels good to get out of the house by myself once in a while. It doesn't happen often. Of course i don't have any place I need to go either.
I got my deep massage last night and oh my it was painful at times, but I knew my neck and upper back were really tense. It felt good, yet tender, last night but today I have the familiar neck and upper shoulder pain. I am sure part of it is the muscles that were massaged last night, and the tenseness back in my neck and shoulders from having to take minutes this morning and all the additional tasks that I have been assigned today. I've taken several aspirin over the past 5 hours, hoping the pain will go away, plus putting an ice pack on my neck for the inflammation - and now I have smelly oil on my neck and shoulders trying to release the tension. I probably need to go sit in the sun cause sometimes that relaxes me too. I need relief, for sure. Maybe that is why I've had such difficulty this morning getting minutes done - I'm antsy because of the pain. I go back in two weeks for a 90 minute massage on my back and neck. If that don't do it... I have to get it done... I will never forget when the pain became so intense about 9 years ago it took 3 deep massages within 12 days x 60 minutes each to break up the muscles that had locked up. I couldn't even turn my head it hurt so bad. I don't want to go back into that. So I have a medical prescription from a previous doctor that approved my getting a massage at least one time a month for therapy.....and since I have a prescription, it is tax deductible as a medical expense.
Got our new drivers license the other day. Went online and changed our address so they mailed us a new license. Only cost $12 but I sure do need a new photo! We also got our voter registration changed so got those papers yesterday, voted, and dropped back in the mail. I always make hubby mad. It's no one's business who I vote for! And I don't tell him either. Not that it is any big deal - but it's no one's business. That's why it is by ballot. I don't have to share. Now most people will know the way I will vote, and hubby really knows as well, but he always has to ask. And when I refuse, he gets angry. Oh well. Isn't the first time - and won't be the last.
Bummer - just got more information on the meetings I was referring to above in the first paragraph. Gotta cut this short.... need to send out several emails so that I can send the invite for the meeting. I ought to go sit outside for awhile first - yeah, I think it's time for a break!
Nothing to share today - I'm distracted by work and by my neck and shoulders hurting. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Be safe out there!
