Thinking about Dream Busters.....

Thinking about dream busters this morning. You know the ones. The ones who shoot down every achievement, every thought that has value. The ones who have a critical spirit and put you down when it's YOUR idea, but thinks it is a wonderful idea if it is theirs.

As I listened again to the message by Pastor Steve, he shared the true story of Monty Roberts. For most of us the name means nothing. However, listen to his story....

When Monty was a senior in high school his class was asked by the teacher to write out their goals after graduation. Monty really thought about it and proceeded to write a 7 pages, complete with designs, of how he wanted to buy a 200 acre plot of land and build a horse farm. He even designed the stables how he wanted them laid out, wanted a 4000 ft house. He turned his paper in. A couple days later the teacher returned it to him with a big red 'F' on the paper. Why? Because he was the son of a itinerant horse trainer who have very little money, they were poor, and that dream was way out of what the teacher felt Monty could ever have. Therefore, the 'F'. The teacher told him to rewrite his goals in life and he would reconsider his grade.

Monty took the paper home and after a week brought it back and handed the same paper in, with this comment. "You can record the 'F', I will keep my dream." The teacher wrote the F in the record book and returned the paper to Monty.

Years later finds Monty Roberts known as the 'Horse Whisperer' and he does have a 200 acre farm, complete with the stables that he designed, and a 4000 ft house, just as he wrote in the paper his senior year of high school. This teacher even brought 20 students on a trip to Monty's farm and stayed there for a week.

After that week the teacher told Monty, "I was wrong. I did not believe in your dream, and I am so sorry. I busted the dreams of many students over the years. I am glad you kept your dream."

Are you a dream buster? Do you find yourself criticizing others for their dreams? Do you squash their hopes of becoming something greater than they are or feel that you need to get them straightened out? Do you tell them they can't do it? Their dream is not realistic? That they are just who they are and they will never be any better?

Step back and think about it. Were you never encouraged as a child - or as an adult - to achieve greater things? Did people shut down your dream - and you believed they were right? Did you want to achieve more than you have?

If you have achieved your dream, you are one of the lucky ones. You worked hard to get there. You were willing to make the necessary sacrifices. You believed in yourself. Good job. Congratulations.

Look at those about you. Is there someone who needs encouraged they can be more than they are? Be the one to encourage them! Is there something you can do to help them achieve their goals? How can you be an instrument in helping others about you grow and mature in the things of life?

What's your dream? Do you need encouragement? Do you feel left out and all alone in your dream? Share it - and ask for help. If you get discouragement back - walk away and find someone who believes in you.

Keep your dream - don't let the dream buster take it away.

Blessings!

It's Monday - so soon!! Just a bunch of nonsense....

It was a crazy, busy weekend! I did not get much done at all. I did get some shopping done yesterday, cashing in on more of my birthday "gifts" from the stores. Got my birthday necklace (from my brother 4 years ago) cleaned at the jewelry store and while there picked up my free pearl birthday earrings. Saturday evening spent with our daughter and family. Great dinner and fun sitting in the spa just to relax. We had a great time and the dinner was awesome. Sitting in the spa was really nice too.

I tried to get on the study for my class on Wednesday - worked about an hour on it and realized I had done week two instead of week one. So I quit. Brought my book to work today to start again during my lunch hour, since I have to take one.

Having coffee with my youngest son tonight as hubby has his men's group meeting at the house. I usually go hibernate in my room while they meet. I won't have to tonight with meeting up with my son. It will be nice to catch up on him. I am so proud of him - he made 2nd LT! Now to keep his head on straight and do his job well. :-)

Speaking of sons, my middle child has a job and starts today! I am sure he is excited about starting something new. I am so proud of him for pursuing the job and finally securing it. I am confident he will excel with it. I read his blog this morning in which he shared the boss has already built him up on how good he is going to be.

I'm so proud of my children (and grandchildren) I could just bust buttons - if I had any on! I'm glad to see them getting their lives in order and getting priorities straight. Sometimes we all need to re-evaluate what is important to us and pursue our dream. I know in some areas I have grown very lax and I really do want to get better. It's just that sometimes it's hard to get everything accomplished .....

Today I'm back at work and my co-worker is back from vacation. I'm so glad she's back - the temp we had last week - well, when you don't 'own' the job, you don't put in your heart to get the job done correctly. I'm a little apprehensive on how well she completed the job. We have caught her in lies, and going around people and saying things. Normally that is grounds for dismissal; now that my coworker is back, it will be interesting to see if this person stays. Her friend is my temp to help me. Thus far I haven't utilized her much because she was learning the job last week, but also there was barely enough work to keep me busy, let alone me sharing work.

Doesn't look like I'm going to get much time to write. My coworkers keep asking me questions and I have to stop and respond. Now it is almost 8AM so need to get my focus on what I need to do today.

Hope that you have a good day -

Blessings!

Cloudy, with a possibility of rain....

That is what it looks like outside.  We are supposed to leave shortly to go to our daughter's for dinner and swim tonight.... but it is getting darker by the minute.  Yet, she said to bring our swimsuits!  So what if it rains - if it isn't lightening, it will be ok.  BUT, thunderstorms are predicted - so we'll see!!  It will be fun, regardless, to spend time with my daughter and her husband.  I don't think the children will be home; the princess had plans for the afternoon and the grandson had plans for the evening, I think.  Oh well.

I meant to go to the mall today and cash in on more gift cards/discounts today - but it didn't happen.  Hubby and I went to the grocery store.  Actually two of them.  One for fresh fruit and vegetables and the other to pick up other things.  We did not even get a cart full between the two stores; only some deli turkey slices and a package of chicken slices, a 1 lb roll of ground turkey - and we spent nearly $200!!  Oh we got milk, eggs, etc but prices have gone up so much on everything that it didn't take long at all for it to add up.  And we didn't buy junk food either!!

I took Marley for a little over two mile walk this morning.  It felt good to be out walking again.  I have promised her for several weeks to get out and walk - and something always came up to prevent it.  But, I did manage to get her out this morning.  My daughter asked us to bring Marley with us tonight so that she can run in the yard.  Will see how she gets along with Annabelle, our Princess' German Shepherd.  Marley seems to get along with other dogs well - I guess we will find out tonight how well 1:1.  I hope they get along - that way when we get together she CAN go over with us and run their huge yard.  Usually we have to leave early or only stay a few hours, for we don't like leaving her cooped up in the crate a long time.  She doesn't seem to mind though.  We usually give her a large rawhide to chew on and she's flat on her back, legs up in air by the time we get home.

Our house has been overrun by crickets.  Geez!  I killed two in my bathroom last night.  There is one right next to me right now - when I tried to get it a moment ago, it jumped out of sight.  Now it's back.  Will it dare get to where I can attack it. Darn! It got away again!!

Cloudy, with a possibility of rain.  Sounds like that could also be our attitudes some time, doesn't it?  I've seen a lot of that lately in different people.  Cloudy, grumpy, irritable people..... who strike with lightening precision when the opportunity presents itself.   Sometimes I just grow weary of it.  Sometimes it is me.

Don't really have anything to share today.  Maybe I will as the week goes on.  Need to get my things together to head on over for the dinner and swim.  Sure beats sitting home watching TV all evening.  Of course my playing Words with Friends all evening finishes it up.  Need to get to reading more again.  It's just so hard to find time for the things I enjoy, like reading, playing Words with Friends.  I have a puzzle I want to put together.  I have other things I want to do.  I just don't do them.  Not going to make excuses.  I just don't do them.

And I still need to get off here.  Hope that you are having a fabulous weekend.

Blessings!

Dream It, Live It....

Decided to grab one of the sermons I have on CD from Pastor Steve Chiles this morning to listen to on the way to work. I grabbed the one titled Dream It, Live It. As I listened to the first one I am reminded of how I have not been able to 'live my dream'. The dream that hurts because I haven't been able to fulfill it.

In the message Pastor Steve talks about whether it is OUR dream, or is it GOD'S Dream for us. It makes me pause and think about that. What is, what has been, God's dream for me? Have I messed things up so badly that I will never achieve His dream? No, God can work through any messes I create, so I know that He can still bring about His dream for me.

Pastor Steve reminded me of the story of Joseph. He was only 17 and he had a dream of his brothers and his dad bowing down to him. He wasn't too smart to brag about his dream to them all, but when he spoke it, it brought reality to it. It set things into motion. His brothers got angry (or more jealous) of Joseph, throwing him into a pit, and then selling him to a caravan as a slave. Joseph ends up in Egypt, slave of Potipher, then gets put in prison for something he didn't do for two years. He gets out of prison when Pharaoh has a dream and no one can tell him what it means and the cupbearer remembers Joseph interpreting his dream two years earlier. Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dream and becomes the 2nd in command in Egypt, overseeing the coming famine. His brothers bow down to him when they come to Egypt to get food.

God's dream isn't cooked in a microwave, God's dream is cooked in a crockpot.

It took 20 years for Joseph's dream to come true, but he had to speak it to put things into place.

If we have a dream, and we don't share what our dream is with anyone, we may never achieve our dream because we need others to set it into motion.

For example, it's like looking for a job. As a rule, the job won't come to you, but if you tell others you are looking for a job, they will keep your need in the back of their mind and if they hear of anything, they will think of you and let you know about it. If you don't share it, they don't know you are looking.

Or perhaps God gives you a dream of helping others. Right now you may not know how to even begin. Start by telling others your dream and look for ways to implement that dream. What do you need to know? Do you need to start in a food kitchen serving others to understand what the real needs of the people are? Are you more into serving by talking with them and directing them where they can get help? Start making a list of agencies and facilities that help those in need. Talk to these people and volunteer your services. Come to know what the real need is.

Perhaps you feel called to be a leader. Start reading, studying, learning on what it takes to be a leader in the field you choose. Get a mentor who will help you learn and will encourage you when times are tough. Look for someone who knows who you are that you can share that dream with.

I've had a couple mentors. I had Pastor Steve as my mentor for ministry. He has helped me, and still does on occasion, prepare sermons, understand situations, work through ministerial issues and other things. My friend Jan has helped me also in ministry, listening to issues I wouldn't share with my pastor but could with someone who is my "coach" so that she could help me work through those. Then I have my best friend, Sue. Sue has been my friend for over 20 years. We have worked together nearly all those years, and for some of those she has been my boss. Right now she is my boss at this new company, but there is one person, my director, between us. We don't get to talk as much as before, but we do try to get together once a month to walk and to talk about personal things and about work and its issues. Occasionally I can catch her in her office and we chat for a few minutes then, but work is always beckoning us so our chats are short. Sue helps me see the big picture on things involving my job. She listens to my rants and encourages me to 'hang on', changes may be coming down the road.

If I didn't share years ago about my call to ministry, that I felt that is where God was leading me, I would not begin and complete the process to become an ordained minister. I have shared my dream of being on staff at a church - a PAID staff member, so that I can give all my time to serving. In time, perhaps it will come to fruition. But then, was that God's dream for me, am I in the crockpot of waiting until time, or was it my dream because I love Him so much? Only time will tell.

If I hadn't shared I was looking for a job with my friend last year, she wouldn't have told me they had an opening and was I interested. I was, and I went through the normal procedures and received the job offer. I feel God has placed me here but I don't know why. I need to keep my mouth shut for now and listen to hear what He wants me to do here, besides all this work.

Do I have doubts along the way that God has called me to ministry due to all the frustrations that I have felt? Absolutely. I often begin to wonder if it was just me, was it just.... me. I don't think so, but feel that where I am now is where I am supposed to be. I can facilitate an adult class and I love doing that. I love helping others grow in their walk with Christ. Our new fall classes start next Wednesday and I am already praying people will come to the class. Last year I did a class and only one person showed up! But we did have class!! I enjoy teaching because it forces me to STUDY, to READ, to keep up on things I need to know. I have gotten so lax over the past few years. Oh I still read, but was disheartened by circumstances, so discouraged, that I was giving up. But now, I have something to look forward to once again. It encourages me.

And now a coworker has brought me some things to look at so I need to hush and help her. Perhaps that is what God has called me to do. At least for today.
Hope you have a wonderful day.

Blessings!

I'm my own worst enemy!

Do you ever feel that way? That you critize yourself, beat yourself up? I feel like I have been doing that a lot lately. You feel that no matter how hard you try, you can't succeed? Everything you say gets taken the wrong way? The thought has occurred to me as I write this that most men would probably say that regarding relationships. It is hard work to have a good relationship. Trust me in this, it isn't just the men! Women have this difficulty too.

But some days feel worse than others. No, I'm not feeling that way - although I have been mulling over some relationship problems with my younger sister, while my older sister and I are getting along fairly well. Hubby and I are getting along pretty well so it isn't that.

Relationships here at work are good. I've chosen not to participate in a lot of the whining that goes on in any job setting, I imagine. I have people running to me with things and I listen and try to offer constructive advice, which isn't always successful. Sometimes I find myself drawn into things in that if they affect me or my job, I get frustrated. Right now though, I'm in a 'good place' I think. Work is easier now that I have been doing it for awhile and they aren't constantly making changes in how we do our work. They actually hired a temp to help me - which I don't need now and I keep telling them I don't need one. Working alone I am usually done by 5:30 and am out of here. I'm ok with that. But they insisted. So I'm trying this person and she seems to have picked up some things pretty well. My issue with all that is not that they hired a temp to help me, but now there will be two people with not enough work to keep busy. By myself I have a steady supply of work and it gets completed most every day. But, they won't listen to me so I have just kept quiet. When this new temp gets totally involved in all aspects, then I will ask for more work of another kind, and perhaps weed myself out of this job and into another.

I saw a friend in the hall the other day and he introduced me to his boss who was with him. Then Chris started telling his boss how "wonderful" I am. I just stood there and when he finished, I just looked at him and asked, "If I'm that good, when are you going to offer me a job?" His boss looked at him and said, let's go talk about this! Not that I expect anything to come from our joking conversation, and he is in another department, but I know that I have too much ambition and knowledge just to sit here and do what I do on a daily basis and then have time with nothing to do because of insistence on getting me help. I needed the help three months ago when I was working 25-30 hours a pay period overtime. Overtime is gone now - I even take a lunch hour and I don't start until 8AM. My 40 hour weeks are going to hurt the paycheck really bad.

I guess I am somewhat mellow this morning. I have gained 5 pounds since my challenge and I think it stuck all in my belly. That is "weighing" on me this morning. I didn't realize how bad it looked until yesterday. Somehow the outfit I had on emphasized my fat belly. Talk about dropping into depression!! I have got to get back on track. I tell myself to get on the treadmill first thing in the morning, but I don't. I tell myself to get on it at night, and I don't. I need to walk Marley - it would be good for both of us. Dark or not, I need to just go do it and if hubby wants to come along to protect me, it will be good for him too.

At my doctor visit last week, he was happy with my test results. As for my weight, he told me once again that the South Beach Diet is the best diet. He has told me that probably the last 3-4 years. I think about it, and then go chasing after another diet, after all, what could my doctor possibly know? I looked for my book last night, but I have a feeling it is one I have loaned out, packed away, or gotten rid of, thinking 'oh, I'll never do that'. I guess I need just just suck it up and look for a used copy somewhere and read it through this time.

Three - yes, THREE, of the women in my area are fat. I'm talking 200-300 pound fat. All three of them have made plans to have procedures to help them lose weight. Two are scheduled for the 'lap band' procedure (one this Friday) and another wants to have the gastric bypass surgery but the other two are trying to talk her out of it. Two-three days off work with the lap band procedure (non-invasive in a way) to six weeks with the gastric bypass. Duh. This person is the one who continually does her work incorrectly and watches videos, etc.

Are all three looking for quick fixes? I think two of them (the ones doing the lap band) have a good grip on why they are doing it, and have lost some weight on their own but are still heavy. The thing they don't consider, both of these women are tall and big boned. They don't exercise at all. I've seen their eating habits. One got a wake up call the first of the year and is doing better and doesn't eat much at least here at work. Nor does the other much. But the one wanting the gastric bypass continually eats large volumes of food. And I mean for approximately a 5'2" woman eating a foot long from Subway, walks in from lunch eating a large ice cream cone, and eating other things throughout the day - and she thinks the gastric bypass is going to take care of her issues? This woman takes about 10 different medications - mostly because of her weight! She needs to change her behavior in eating habits before even considering surgery. Ok - I'm off my soapbox.

I have no desire for someone to do something to my body when I know that if I will exercise and watch closely all that I eat, I will lose this weight. I have done it before. I can do it again. I just have to get out of this funk I'm in. I wish my children and grandchildren lived closer; they could walk Marley with me and just being with them would cause me to look forward to walking and getting out. Oh well.

I need to get my thoughts prepared for the day ahead of me and focus on it. Sorry if I have mellowed out on you today - but hope that it gives you also food for thought. All things are possible, if you believe. And I believe I can succeed. It's just sometimes hard to fly like an eagle when you work with a bunch of turkeys. Sorry - just had to say it!!

Hope that you have a wonderful, encouraging, productive day! I plan to! If I look for the good in others and encourage them, I know I will be encouraged as well. Try it. Encourage someone and be blessed!

Blessings!!

Back to work!

I am back to work. Actually, I came back yesterday. It was a busy day too. As I type that I am thinking in my mind how that sounds. This is Jane. This is Dick. They are friends. BORING......

But I am back to work and have been extremely busy. And today will prove even more busy - why? Because our director decided to move about six of us around and put us in different cubicles. It is really weird - she sends out the email yesterday she is moving some of us. There is no discussion. Ok.... a little later it came out where we were moving to. I'm switching places with the nurse in the next cubicle to me. Now, not sure why that is necessary, but as I said before, we were told "no discussion". It would have made more sense to move me in another location, but, it didn't happen. Oh well. Unfortunately, I can not move anything until my coworker comes in and starts clearing her things out. I've taken things off my wall, but again, there isn't much I can do until she gets here.

I "lost" my tea infuser for awhile yesterday. Well, I thought it was lost. I was ready to make myself some tea with my tea leaves, and could not find my tea cup. I looked in drawers and all over my desk, not knowing where it could be. The thought occurred to me to not say anything until I go home and check to see if I took it home. No reason for me to take it home as I have a French Press at home that I make tea in. Well, after I went home I looked in the pantry and there it was. Hubby has washed it and put it away. I don't even remember taking it home. I couldn't find the coaster for it and looked in drawers and everywhere at home, but could not find it. I finally decided to just bring the infuser into work and set it on a paper towel. I get to work and the coaster is setting on my desk. Is this the twilight zone or what? I did not even see the coaster on my desk yesterday - and probably a good thing for then I really would have gone crazy trying to find it. But now I have the cup and I have the coaster so I guess all is well.

I'm not sure how this is going to appear - hopefully it won't be run together again. Because I have to hit "HTML" so taht I can type this, it runs everything together. It's weird. I wonder if I try putting two spaces in bewteen paragraphs if that will break it up. I guess we shall see when I save this.

I enjoyed my time off last week and am grateful I work for a company that gives me two weeks vacation and I haven't even been here a year yet. Actually, I have two more vacation days as I took 3 vacation days and 2 personal days last week. I'm saving the two vacation days and the two other personal days for December, when I need to be shopping and baking for Christmas gifts. I haven't even gotten really started yet and I need to. It will be very small this year and I will need to make a lot of things, so we shall see how that goes over.

Needing to see what else I can pack up so that the move will be smooth - at least on my part. Just wanted to try jotting a few lines. I've had some things to write about - but that will come later. Some time soon I'll be focused and back at it.

Hope you ahve a great day and accomplish all you want to!

Blessings!!

Memories....

Today while hubby has been gone I've done some dusting and straightening up of a few things around my desk.  Came across papers that belonged to my dad and other things.  Spent a couple hours on the phone this morning with my little sister - yes 2 hours and 37 seconds to be exact.  I have discovered that my phone can go from 100 percent to 63 percent in two hours of constant use.  I knew you were really wanting that information.

It has been 'forever' since we have talked that long; seriously, it has been a long, long time since we have talked at all!  We had a lot to catch up on.  We talked about our 'real' dad and wondered once again what our lives would have been like had he lived and raised us.  We often have asked ourselves that question.

We talked how we don't remember much of our childhood; memories of that time period have been suppressed and hidden, as they are painful to recall.  We talked about how "skinny" we used to be and what we are trying now to overcome the extra blubber we are carrying around.

We really were skinny at one time.  My little sister and I used to be in a challenge against each other all the time over our weight.  We both were single (see what marriage does to you if you let it?) and were free to go go jogging whenever we wanted to, we played racquetball a lot, we were active.  The one time I beat my little sister and weighed less than her - she weighed in at 113 and I weighed in at 110.  I was ecstatic.  That lasted until I ate my next meal and it has gone up ever since.  Just kidding!

We both seem to be constantly on a 'diet' and we laugh because I have bought so many diet and exercise books I should be thin as a rail!  Foolish, I know.  All I need to do is eat healthy and walk 30 minutes a day x 3 x a week and I will drop the weight.  Oh well.  It's interesting reading.

We talked about some of the people she cared for in her profession that have died, or is beginning in that phase.  She is so good at what she does, caring for people as a CNA.  She has truly found her niche in life. I tell her she is preparing to take care of me when I get old - the only problem is, she is 1800 miles away.  I refuse to move and she only wants to move to Florida - not sure how her taking care of me in my old age is going to work.  It is a joke we have laughed about for a long, long time.

It was a good time of chatting with her - something we haven't done for awhile.  It was good.  We had a lot of laughter and a lot of talking.

Hubby has gone up north for the funeral of our friend.  I have been doing some things around the house, trying to decide if I want to clean up and drive to the mall and cash in on some more gift coupons.  I'm kind of enjoying the quiet here in the house.  Even with Marley here, she is laying within 6 feet of me wherever I stop.  Right now I'm sitting at the table and she has managed to get in front of my feet and has curled up there so that she can be near me.  I had to move my chair away from the table to give her room to stretch out.  Silly dog.  No, I didn't get that walk in with her this morning as I had planned.

I found my recipe for Kale Chips and since I recently purchased a bag of Kale, I think that I will try making some.  At least it is a healthy alternative to potato chips.  But I like the salt and the grease on potato chips. Well, will see how these work.  I need to decided if I'm going to make the turkey dressing to go with the turkey - but if eating healthy, it isn't the best thing to have.

Sometimes eating right is hard!  Like last night at my daughters - we had tacos.  Well, I had to have chips and salsa to start with.  Then soft taco shells that she heated up.  With hamburger (no ground turkey for her!!) and homemade refried beans... and then of course the fixings including sour cream.  We had cake for dessert (I passed) and lemon cream pie (I passed) and... snickers ice cream in a waffle cone.  I gave in.  I had one.  It was good.  I left all the ice cream at my daughter's house.  Toooo tempting for me!

Enjoyed my lunch yesterday with my middle child.  It was really nice to just sit and talk and hear what he had to say - and for him to listen to me.  Sometimes that is all any of us want - someone to just care enough to shut up and listen.  It was a good time.

Nothing to share, nothing to talk about today.  Think I will enjoy the quiet and get my ironing done.  It's been waiting for me for a long, long time.  I've probably outgrown some of the clothes.  Which reminds me, I probably ought to go through my closet and drawers again - I have no idea what is in there anymore.

Hope that you are having a productive Saturday and getting things done - or just being lazy if that is what you want.  Being lazy all week is getting me moving.  But just a little.   Be safe, be kind, be productive.

Blessings!

My last day of vacation.....

It's Friday, my last day of vacation.  My little sissy's 58th birthday.  She would jump all over me for posting that - but she doesn't read this so I think I'm safe.  Unless I have some tattletales.....

This has been a good week.  Up in "cooler" Prescott Valley the first part of the week.  Did a lot of walking and shopping.  Yesterday we had lunch with our middle child while I cashed in on a 'free birthday lunch'.  In the afternoon we had a State Association meeting and they served salad and fixings after the meeting.  Since I had a birthday freebie for Cold Stone Creamery, we went by there on the way home so that I could "cash in" on that one as well.

Today I'm having lunch with my middle child.  Just me.  It isn't often that I get one of my children alone, but I treasure the time and opportunities that I do.  From there I plan to "cash in" on some more birthday coupons.  No, not to eat, but shop.  Of course.  Kohls gave me $10 off of anything (should have had that card with me when we were shopping in Prescott Valley!!); got other cards too but can't think what they are - Penneys, Macys, Hallmark, and some I threw away for I knew I wouldn't use them.  I gathered all my coupons up and put in my purse - I never know when I might go there.  No, I don't plan on hitting them all today - or tomorrow - for I really do NOT like to shop.  There really isn't anything I NEED but I may go somewhere and do the stroll.  Of course the purpose of the $10 off is so I will buy something else and take $10 off of it.  But sometimes it DOES work to my advantage - I was shopping one time with a granddaughter and we went to Kohls.  I didn't need anything, didn't see anything I wanted, but had a $25 coupon that was expiring that day.  I let my granddaughter pick up a couple sweaters on sale and it didn't cost me a thing and I didn't lose the $25 to expiration.  Now THAT was a good deal!

Later this afternoon we plan to head over to our daughter's to meet up with someone I don't think we have ever met, but she is the daughter-in-law of my late best friend.  She has been out this week for a meeting (and wondering how we stand the heat here!!) and will be heading back tomorrow to Michigan.  It is always fun to gather with family and am looking forward to meeting Leah.

Hubby will be heading up to Prescott Valley in the morning without me.  We had put Marley in the pet hotel earlier this week while we were away.  Just didn't feel it was right to bring her home for a couple days and then take her back while we stayed up there again.  A friend has passed away and hubby was asked to say some things at the service.  I don't care for funerals; they make me cry.  So if I can possibly NOT go, I don't.  I had planned to go to this one, but we decided it was best I stay home.  He won't be gone but just a few hours.  I do plan to get Marley over to the canal and walk her in the morning.  I was going to do it today, but didn't.  My bad.  Now it is too hot.  That's one big problem out here - you have to go early in the morning or you can't go due to the heat.  It's bad enough on people - and on dogs, it is just as bad.  Maybe worse.  We at least wear shoes, and although there are "booties" for dogs, I am too cheap to buy them.

I am starting to ramble so guess I have nothing to say today.  Maybe I will start getting some brilliant thoughts soon that I could post and chat about. There is always that hope.

I put a turkey from the freezer into the refrigerator yesterday; hoping it will be thawed by Sunday to put in the oven to bake.  My resolve to start eating healthy again.  Well, a little bit anyway.  It will get us through meals for few days.  Don't think I'll make the giblet gravy and dressing.... depends if anyone asks for it.  If not, probably not. But then, what's turkey without giblet gravy and dressing?

Hope you are having a good day - if not - MAKE IT A GOOD DAY!!  Be kind to someone.  Accept others as they are - mistakes and all - none of us are perfect.  What people do - or don't do - is not permission for us to dis them or disown them.  It is not permission for us to hold ourselves 'above' them and 'lord' above them because their decisions are not what we want for them.

We all make wrong choices and we all make right choices.  Some we agree with, some we don't.  Telling people if they make a certain choice they will not be allowed to associate with family is wrong.   Decisions like that alienate family and does not show unconditional love - in spite of any decision.   I may not agree with whom someone marries, whom someone dates, whom someone lives with, how their lives are lived - but I choose to love them unconditionally for by doing so, I give the example to them to love and accept others as they are.  I may not agree with them, but I will love them through it.  I have done things in my life that many did not think was the right choice, the right thing to do.  But I was loved through it unconditionally. I made mistakes and I still make mistakes.  You are either family, or a friend, through and through, or you are not who you say you are.

I try to live my life in a way that I respect everyone, regardless what I think or feel inside.  I don't always succeed, I admit, but I want to be open and allow everyone to make their own choices and stand behind them 100% regardless how I feel about that choice.   Anyone who says they love someone unconditionally and yet shuts the door on whom they 'dislike' and opens it only for those they 'like', is wrong and is not living the Christian life they claim to live.  And yes, I have to deal with those issues in my own home, but I do live with someone else in this house and we do not always agree (shocker I know).   I can meet elsewhere if I need to - dinner is always good. :-)   Talking it through is the best policy.

How can you say you dislike someone when you don't know them?  What you don't like - and what I don't like, is their behavior.  But there are some good things that come out of such relationships.  You get awesome grandchildren, for one.  Or awesome children.  Or awesome friends.

Jesus tells us to "judge not, lest ye be judged the same way you judge others".    Makes me examine my stance - and I hope it does you as well.

Reminds me of a story I heard one time.....  a young woman with a troubled past, a prostitute, stumbled into a church.  She was accepted and loved and became a Christian.   The church loved her and helped her to grow into a beautiful young woman.  Over time the minister's son took an interest in this young woman.  As time passed they fell in love and wanted to marry.  The church immediately went into an uproar and called a  meeting!  How could this minister's son marry this woman who was a prostitute, who had such a sinful past?!  It was not going to happen to their minister's son!  It was wrong!  It was not going to happen!   As the young woman cried at the uproar, the minister's son stood up and spoke.  He told of his love for this young woman, and her love for him.   Then he commented that when we went to Jesus and asked for forgiveness of our sins, He forgave them immediately and remembered them no more.  He did not bring them up and throw our sins in our faces time after time to put us in our place.  He never tells us we aren't "good enough" to love - or be loved - by someone.  Jesus forgave us, and continues to forgive us, each time we confess our sins for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.    Then he asked the question, "If Jesus forgave her and remembers her sins no more, shouldn't you do the same?"

We should ask ourselves the same question. If Jesus forgives us and remembers our sins no more when we confess them, who are we to point fingers?"

Blessings!

Yea!! I'm doing something RIGHT!!

I went to the dreaded doctor's appointment this morning.  No, not the one where they do all the tests - but the one in which you get all the results of the tests you did two weeks ago.  I dreaded it.  Not that I thought it was so bad, but because I didn't know if it would be good.  Last year he told me to take cholesterol pills.  I didn't.  Why?  Because I don't want to.

Nowadays people take one pill for one thing, then turn around and have to take another pill because that first pill affects this - or that - and then you have to take another and next thing you know - you are taking a humongous amount of pills that you wouldn't have had to take in the first place if you had been bold enough to say NO, I will try doing it by diet.

Now things like your thyroid, you have no control over.  I do take my thyroid pill faithfully and have for years.

But things like cholesterol - naw, I can work on my diet.  Last January I did just fruits/vegetables/chicken/fish and when I had a workup at the office for our health benefits, I excelled in all but one area.  They say I'm fat, but that's another story.  My blood work was excellent, cholesterol down where it should be - up where it should.  I had proven I COULD control my cholesterol by diet alone.

Then I 'fell off the wagon'.  I began to eat what I wanted to.  Things I shouldn't eat.  But I did.  So 7 months later, I get another blood test and a whole lot more things to check.  At the doctor's office.  All part of my yearly physical.  Yes, I only go once a year to my doctor.  Thank God, I have not been seriously sick, for then I would have gone, yes.  But I have been healthy pretty much, except for colds, etc.

Especially this past two weeks - I have NOT been good.  I confess.  I have become a 'junk food/healthy food' junkie.  I've had my ice cream.  I've had my soda, albeit diet.  I've had my hamburger (but Whataburger is not greasy so that must count for something), I've had my french fries.  But I have also had my salads, my fish, my grilled chicken, so I have done well, too.

My test results are in.  The only thing I really need to take is a Vitamin D pill - which I was supposed to last year but didn't on a regular basis.  Now I need to as it was low.  I still take my thyroid and my baby aspirin - and I take a prenatal vitamin for my nails to grow.  And my doctor says that is all I need. :-)  That makes this girl very happy.  I dislike very much taking pills.  Ask my hubby.  He makes me take a handful every morning.  But my doctor says I don't need them as I get these things through my food.  He even cited a show recently by Dr. Oz about vitamins and the waste of money.  He said if we really feel we need to take vitamins, take a Centrum Silver and it has all that we need.

My total cholesterol is 209, but my good cholesterol is excellent, and the bad (I get the hdl and the ldl confused - I think hdl is high and ldl is low - but truthfully, I really don't care) is a little higher than it needs to be.  Therefore, cut out my white flour (which I eat little of - ok, my cookies) and I don't eat white bread so we are safe there.  I really like the Omega 3 bread at Frys although it is a small loaf and $3.49.  I also get the Ezekiel Bread which is just sprouts and no flour at all - but overall, I rarely eat bread.  It's the crackers, cookies, etc. that I chow down on.  Oh, and a bun if we have hamburgers out at a fast food place.  Or the flour tortilla at El Pollo Loco.  Oh well.  I have to have some, I reckon.

But over all, my physical came out well and I'm happy.  Not that I am now going to over do it because this year's physical is over and done with - but I need to get back into my walking so that I can start preparing for the  mini next year and walking off some of this extra weight.  Oh yeah.  I have gained 5.8 pounds since the weight challenge I was in.  I guess that really was to be expected as I had cut back on everything - and then I started eating again and quit exercising.  It will come back off - and more - once I get my butt off the chair and doing it.

I wonder how the challenge to my children is going.  I know I saw my middle child a week ago and I could really tell he had lost weight - am so proud of him!  We will see if he meets the goal I set for everyone (10% of weight at that time) by December - sure would love to hand him $100 for meeting the goal.

Hope to go out to lunch shortly - waiting on hubby to get home from an appointment.  I have my birthday lunch at First Watch so guess we will go there.  Have to use my birthday coupons - they don't last!  I still have one for Cold Stone.... well, I DIDN'T say I was giving up ALL my ice cream and stuff!!  After this time, MAYBE. :-)

Have a meeting all afternoon; hubby spoiled my afternoon though - he has to be there at 1:30 so said we need to ride together rather than take two cars - I don't have to be there until 3PM.  Oh well.  Guess I will take my Kindle and read.

Have a good day!

Blessings!!

Back home again..... in Phoenix....

We made it back home today.  We actually could have stayed a couple more hours at the hotel, but we figured we may as well 'hit the road' and get back home.  THEN we could relax from the trip.  After unpacking the car, hubby sat down - and fell asleep.  He had something he had to do this afternoon so around 3PM I woke him up - and he got moving.  He should have been back about 1/2 hour ago - not sure where he is at this moment.

It was so nice getting away.  The temperature was down in the 80's - which is still warm - but cooler than here!  We only got in the spa Sunday night - and wasn't in it for long - even up in Prescott Valley!  We talked about getting in the pool every day after - but never did.  Our pool looks really clean - maybe we will get into it later.  Or not.  I always feel like I need a shower after getting in the pool to get rid of all the chlorine that is in it - and on me!

Just heard the gate - which means hubby is back home.......  he reminded me we haven't picked up Marley yet.  While I finish my blog, he will unpack, then we will go pick her up.  I hope she enjoyed her stay at the 'pet hotel'.  When hubby was dropping her off, she was NOT happy and was snarling and snapping at the attendants.  First time ever for that.  Hmmm   Wonder what her report card will say about her - usually she is active and happy.  Not sure if she will hit that level this time, judging from the first response.

We had a really good time on our vacation and it was good to get away.  I can't say we did anything spectacular - we shopped and did a lot of walking - but other than that, and going to dinner with dear friends last night - not much else.  Of course we were only up there two full days.  It was nice to get away though.

Hubby gave me a beautiful little angel figurine for our anniversary; I let him select a watch while we were shopping and gave him a book to write scriptures in called a 'journible'.  At 31 years, there isn't anything we need to get each other.

It's good to be home and able to chill out in my own place.  There is just something about being "home".

Guess that is all for now - maybe tomorrow I will have a brilliant thought - then again.... maybe not.  I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and we have a state association meeting tomorrow afternoon.  I may not be on the computer at all - but will see.

Hope you have had good days this week.  I've noticed my settings are all off - hopefully I have fixed them - if not - "Son!  You need to fix my computer!!"  "Again". :-)

Blessings!

A bit slow......but I'm in!!

I am on vacation. A real, true, relaxing vacation. And it's nice. No plans. Doing things on the spur of the moment. Doing nothing. Eating when we feel like it. Not eating if we don't want to. No menu. Doing whatever. N I C E. I'm relaxing. And I'm enjoying this. Don't think I could get used to doing nothing, but for right now, it's nice.

We came up to Northern Arizona on Sunday for a few days of 'get away' to celebrate our 31st anniversary, which I tomorrow. Sunday we checked into the hotel and settled in. Did Cracker Barrel for dinner, and after reading for a bit, went down to sit in the spa before going to bed. Nice. Yesterday we actually used the gym downstairs. I guess you could say we were preparing for the shopping marathon that we did yesterday. Well, it wasn't THAT bad, but we did do some shopping. I got some really good deals - especially at Christopher and Banks where I picked up some tops - after the discount - for $6.49. I loved that!! Then, there was Sears, where we picked up.... hmmm, what DID we get at Sears? Oh well, whatever it was, got it for free. I had "points" on my credit card and I have the option of using them or saving them for another purchase. Heck - I use them as I get them! Oh yeah, I bought panty hose! And they weren't cheap either - but I needed some. So I got 4 pairs and got them for free. I like this type of shopping.

From there we stopped at a couple other places, ending up at Kohls. I was looking for a wide black belt. I have one that is about 20 years old - or more - but I can not find it. Obviously I do not wear it often. Anyway, I've been wanting a black belt so after refusing to pay $26 for a black belt at Sears, being told at Penneys that you can only get them online, we checked at Kohls and yes, I found some, but the one I wanted was $30!! HOWEVER, it was on sale, I forget what for, and then I got 20% off that, so I ended up buying two black belts for me - AND Tom picked out a new watch for or anniversary from me - and it was on sale PLUS I got 20% off. I think we did pretty good there. We go back today to pick up the watch as he wanted a link taken out of it. All in all, shopping was the order of the day yesterday and a lot of walking.

We grabbed Baja Fresh for dinner about 4PM and watched TV and read for the rest of the evening. Today the only thing on the agenda is going back to Kohls to pick up the watch. Oh - and we have dinner plans with friends tonight. Not sure where we will end up at for dinner, but we will meet them at their house. I think one of our plans is to do the "outside shops", which shouldn't take long. There is a mall up here, which we did yesterday, but were too tired/lazy to do the outside shops so put it off until today. We opted not to go down to the exercise room this morning so we can get our walking in there. The "outside shops" consist of Kirklands, Bed Bath and Beyond, Wildflower, Chicos, Barnes and Noble, and I'm not sure what all. We haven't gone through the shops for a long time. In fact, we haven't been up here yet this year, I don't think.

We've had difficulty getting on line up here at the hotel - hence my title. I did figure out how to do the wifi settings on the kindles so that we could read and play Words with Friends. :-) Wasn't sure if I could get my computer up and running or not. I brought it because I may need to get online because of work. It has stayed in my bag until now - and I tried - and was able to sign in on the wifi. Figured I would at least do my blog before jumping back off.

Are you kidding me? Hubby is watching the news and this guy is talking of going shopping can make you lonely. For real? LOL What in the world are people thinking? Shopping does not make me lonely - sometimes I go shopping just to get time alone. That is not the same thing. I like some alone time. I am with people all day at work. I come home and am with hubby. Or at church with other people. Sometimes I just need to be alone and process my thoughts. Not that I need it all the time, but at times it helps. What about you? Do you like your "alone time"? Do you feel a need for alone time? I've been having fun teasing my big brother, who is in Vegas this week. He keeps asking for money (in fun) and I keep having "internet problems" when he does and can't receive messages. It's been a fun couple days with that. Every once in awhile I will send a "normal message" then immediately 'darn, there it goes again - lost connection with the internet!!' LOL So fun!!

Yeah, he doesn't read my blog. I don't think he does, anyway. Heck, I think the only ones who do read it are my kids and hubby. And that's ok. For several months I have just been typing thoughts anyway. Need to get back to the purpose of what I wanted this blog for. Been through lot a stuff that hurt deeply; just haven't been able to get focused. This morning my bro tells me to "try turning the internet service on." LOL

I don't think I wrote about my birthday - perhaps I need to leave that for another time. It was a good evening with most of the family. One cool thing I got was a Mother's Legacy book so that I can write things about when I was growing up. I have looked at these and at the Grandmother ones many times - and would always walk away from them. I'm glad I have one. I wish my mother had completed the one I had given her. I have no idea what happened to it as it was years ago I gave it to her. The only history I can remember is of the stories she wrote down and mailed to me. 1918 to 2004 are a lot of years of history, many years lost because they weren't written down, weren't recorded. I hope I complete this book, and write down more, before God calls me home. Of course I have about 20 years of journals.... but most of them are so personal... things I'm going through personally, my failures and confessions, my seeking God to forgive me for things I have done, to help me have spiritual wisdom, prayers for my marriage, for each of my children, for my grandchildren. I'm still uncertain if I want others to read them.

Then the very next day after my birthday, a very special event occurred that didn't include me, but yet affects me, a little. My beautiful Princess Bethany, my first granddaughter, got engaged! Soooo exciting. I hope I get asked to help with some of the things for the wedding. My daughter in law and her mother are quite capable of doing the entire wedding, as they did for my son/daughter in laws wedding. That was 22 years ago. Hopefully things have changed. This wedding is tentatively scheduled for May, 2015, so I've heard, so there is plenty of time for preparation. I'm so happy for them.

Well, I guess I'll get off here and clean up so we can get out of here. After all, shopping is calling my name. Hope you have a good day!! I plan to - it's in the 80's up here so it's nice to be out in.

Blessings!

Well, trying something different.....

I'm at work, and I think I finally figured out how I can type on my blog. Now to see how it comes out when I'm finished. There is a "Compose / HTML" section on this blog; normally I don't have to do anything, I can just start typing. But, I selected HTML and it's letting me type - so let's see if that works! Here it is Tuesday and already I'm tired! We aren't suppose to work overtime anymore - well, guess you need to tell that to my work load! I left at 6:15PM last night and I left work in my folder. Oh well. It is what it is. I told my director I don't have a choice; I either work the overtime (and keep it down), or I leave the work. She said I could work. It, meaning the overtime, may stop soon. Hopefully. Well, I do need the money, but, I want my life back more. My temp who started a couple weeks ago hasn't been here much the past two weeks because her father died. She missed Thursday and Friday last week because of the funeral. She didn't come in yesterday - for what reason I do not know. I expected her to show up. If she doesn't show up today, then I am going to strongly suggest they find another temp who can be here on a daily basis. I can understand wanting to be off for the funeral, etc., but if you want to work, and you are already a temp employee wanting a permanent position, well, you take off what you need to take off. The company only gives 3 days for funerals anyway. I am supposed to be on vacation next week. The first three days we are going to 'head out of Dodge' and just relax. I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and meetings in the afternoon on Thursday. BUT, with not having anyone trained to do my job, I may be working next week. I told my director I will discuss with her tomorrow afternoon on how I feel about this temp and if she can do it. Right now the answer is no, she can't. I understand her sorrow, but if you want to work, you have to focus and get out of it and get back to work.n Hubby is in agreement I may need to cancel for next week, and we will go the following week. Will see. I hope we can go this next week; I'm really looking forward to resting, reading and relaxation. My 3 R's. :-) Had a soft rain falling as I drove in to work this morning. Just got my weather text that said there will be showers all day. I'm grateful God stopped the showers long enough I could get inside the office building. Today I brought in salad for everyone. I'm silly, I guess, but in lieu of a "Nova's Lunch Party" this year I am bringing in something every day for us to munch on. Yesterday I brought in a cheeseball and crackers and some puffed rice cakes. Today is salad. I'm thinking Taco Soup for tomorrow, but am not sure. I kind of make the decision on the way home. I don't tell anyone it is my birthday week; only those who have known me for a long time know what I'm doing. Next year though, I will just do it all on one day. I didn't feel I had been here long enough to do something like that - don't know very many people outside of my area. My neck is doing much better than it was last Friday, but I still feel twinges of pain ever so often. My work phone has been on my right and every time I had to get on the phone yesterday (which was often), I would hurt my neck. So I moved my phone to the left side of the computer, which is somewhat awkward as I am right handed, but it forces me to turn and face the phone so that I don't hurt my neck. Unless the left side starts to hurt. Overall, it is much, much better than it was. I'm trying to sit up straighter too, so that I'm not slouching at the computer. I'm rambling now because I didn't think I could do my blog today so hadn't thought of anything to write about. Today is my brother-in-law's 65th birthday. Yes, I did send him a text and told him Happy Birthday Old Man. Why Not? He's older than me! He responded with it is his Medicare birthday. I told him yeah, and I'm working to help pay his social security! I hope he appreciates it! Need to get my desk straightened up and ready for work, although I still have a little while before time to start. Oh heck, I need to get these things done that I didn't do last night so I'm just going to start on them. Phooey on getting permission to work overtime! If I don't these don't get done. So there! Plus I'm going to leave early on Thursday, but will probably have to come back after the meeting. Oh well. It is what it is. Hope you have a blessed and happy day! Uh oh - error on page again and my spell check is gone.... It's a new day! Blessings!

The past week in somewhat review....

I'm having troubles again with the internet at work which would allow me to complete my blog at work.  I can bring the blog up - but it won't let me type anything except a heading.  The body of the blog my cursor will not appear on.  So - I haven't been able to write all week.

It has been a busy week, for sure.  A very busy and painful week.  Tuesday my neck started hurting.  I ignored it and did my work.  Thursday morning I had my 'well woman' check up at the doctor's office - I told him about my neck.  He held his finger up by my left shoulder for me to turn my head to.  No problem.  He did the same on the right.  I couldn't quite make it that far, and I told him that I was straining to move it that direction because of the pain.  He tells me that I have probably only strained it and nothing was wrong. No sympathy.  No information on how to help the pain.  Nothing.

Now I have a very high pain tolerance, so I've been told, but by Friday when my neck started 'spazzing' to the point my entire body would be paralyzed from the pain and I'm in near tears, I think I reached it.  When one of our nurses came in to work, I begged her to massage my neck and back.  She did that for me, but being at work - well, we were there to work.  So I tried to work.  I had so much to get done that I tried to stay focused.

However, my neck did not cooperate with me, and if I so much as turned my head to the right a fraction, my neck would paralyze me and I would start going "Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, Dear God, please make it stop!!" Numerous times I said that prayer - gives a new meaning to 'praying without ceasing'.

I text'd and called my friend who is a masseuse to see if she could give me a massage Friday evening.  She could not.  We set it up for Saturday afternoon.  In the meaning, I am alternating heat and ice.  The plastic baggie I had used for the hot water, well, it didn't work on my back and soaked the entire back of my jacket, shirt, and of course my chair.  I didn't care.  I took my jacket off and the let cool, wet blouse work on my back.  My neck still hurt.  Really bad.

By the time I got home (thank goodness I didn't have to change lanes often, I had to turn my whole body to see over the right side) I was in near tears.  Hubby offered to take us to dinner, but I had him make a detour and we went to Walgreens, hoping to find one of those physician  health centers open.  I was even looking up urgent cares.  I was getting desperate.  The pain was intense.  We found one, two minutes too late.  I went to the pharmacist - and wondered why I was asking her.  She looked like death warmed over with huge black circles under her eyes - and it wasn't makeup.  I kept staring at her eyes - they looked like Alice Cooper on a good day.  Anyway, I asked her what was the strongest thing I could take for pain without a prescription.  She didn't know.

For real?  I think I asked "Are you serious?"   She asked if I had taken Aleve or used Bengay or anything like that.  Well, no, I hadn't used either of those, but I had taken ibuprofen and had used a cream on  my neck that is for muscle joint pain.   I've had pharmacist walk me to the area and help me find what I need; she wouldn't leave her window.  We finally walked away to look "over there" at the pain center.  We picked up Aleve and some Tiger Balm cream.

Yesterday I felt somewhat better and kept my massage appointment.  For about 45 minutes she worked on my back and neck.  As she continued to work on me, she said that officially I could be called a 'knothead
for not only did I have knots in the muscles on the left and right side of my back, and my neck, I had knots on my head!!  I was in bad shape, she said.

I left after drinking a couple glasses of water and planned to go to a concert at church last night.  Well, I did go.  I filled up my 32 oz glass with green tea and went.  I lasted 1 1/2 hours and felt so nauseous that I had to leave - even before my friend performed.  Yes, I felt that bad!  I came home, we ate some dinner, watched a little TV and went to bed.  This morning my back and neck were so sore and my neck started to spaz a time or two.   My friend text'd me to see how I was doing.  I told her about last night and how sore I was this morning.

She apologized.  She said she went too deep into the muscle.  I thought she hadn't gone deep enough!  She said that was why I wasn't feeling good last night and why I'm so sore today.  Still taking the Aleve and using the tiger balm (when I go to bed - it stinks) so hopefully it will be better tomorrow.  My friend also reminded me that I needed to come back for another massage - even if only for 15 minutes to work the shoulders and neck.  I told her that I'll get back on the 1xmonth maintenance soon.  I quit going about a year ago - afterall, after my last neck/back pain episode I was all better.  I think I learned my lesson.  Maintenance is a good thing.

It's kind of like our relationship with God.  We can accept Him as Lord of our life and really, really want to do what is right, but if we don't work on that relationship, don't keep the maintenance up of being in His Word and studying and meditating and listening for His voice, we lose that sweet spot of being in His will.  I have found over the years that I have to be daily spending time with Him - and even then sometimes 'ME' gets in the way of what is right.  But with having a relationship with God helps me know when I'm not living as I should live.

I'll get back to my massage in due time and I'll start going once a month (maybe) for a maintenance massage. I should have learned my lesson a couple years ago.  I guess I didn't.  For right now, I just want to be pain free for awhile.  It's nearly Monday again and another full week.

Hopefully I can continue on my blog tomorrow at work - but if not, it will have to come about when I can get online.  Sometimes I have to choose between getting on the computer and pulling myself away - after all, I stare at two screens all day long.  I'm usually not in a big hurry to get on the computer again.

And now I'm heading out for some fun time with some grandchildren!  Hope you have a good evening.

Blessings!!
