I'm so glad to be home.

You never miss home until you aren't here and wish you were.  Don't get me wrong, the weekend was nice.  It was much cooler there (58 degrees in the morning) and Saturday morning when we got out to 'shop', it was very nice to be able to walk in cooler weather.  But, we again spent all afternoon in the hotel room Saturday and then yesterday morning, after breakfast, we packed up and were on the road by 10AM I think it was.  We found a new route to take to and from Prescott - getting on the 17 at New River or returning at New River.  A lot less traffic.  Thanks to Siri that is.  Same amount of time, basically, but less stress with the driving - even on a 2 lane road.

I kept telling myself I needed to go shopping - anywhere - to get out and be by myself.  Then I'd tell myself that there is nothing I NEED at this moment that I HAD TO HAVE.  So I didn't go. Did take a short nap, completed three blankets and an afghan that I had started earlier.  Hubby watched a game, NCIS and we finally watched a movie - or rather I did - he slept through most of it and then asked me if I was mad at him because he slept through it.  No. He does that frequently. His loss. I love the movie. :-)  Anyway - fixed chicken chili for dinner and we ate a bowl of it (before the movie).  I also had found a new recipe a few weeks ago I have been wanting to try - and you know what - these no-bake bars are really good!  Sweet, but really good.  No sugar, but made with honey, peanut butter (ok so the sugar in that), coconut oil, oats, vanilla, coconut, and chocolate chips (and THAT sugar).  So good. And so easy to make.  We ate some last night but I think I'll take to Morgan tonight most of them - don't need that sweet stuff for me to much on - although even I can't eat that much at one sitting! So good, though!

I again awoke at 2:49AM with extreme pain in my left hip and down the front of my leg. Now I have always thought I had a high pain tolerance, but this pain is excruciating.  Just the hip and down the front of my thigh. Doesn't go any further.  And I wonder if there is a connection with something else.  Not just sleeping on my side.

Friday night I was awakened quite rapidly with a sharp pain on the inside of my thigh. The fatty part between the legs.  I rubbed it and scratched it - but the pain really didn't go away.  I felt a couple more sharp pricks and I wondered if, although my pajamas were not new, those little clear tag things had somehow got caught in the thread of the seam and was just now working it's way out.  Well, I looked when I got up and could find nothing in my jammies.  My leg, however, had a bump like a bite.  So immediately I thought of 'bed bugs'.  Isn't that what came to your mind?  But I went back to the bed and really looked it over and looked all around and saw nothing.  And this is the only place I had a bump. Well, Saturday night - same thing.  Only this time, I found a 'pin prick' next to the bump. Guess I had missed it?  Anyway, it has hurt off and on all weekend.  By last night, there were three of these 'pin pricks' in a row.   Don't know how I missed that - perhaps I scratched a couple bumps open?  I put Neosporin on them and a bandaid to keep it off my clean jammies I put on.  This morning I took the bandaid off as it was hurting, and saw the three 'pin pricks' and a 2-3 bumps.  What in the world is going on?  My hip hurts, my thigh front hurts, these bumps hurt.  They aren't red, they are just there and they hurt.  No redness around the bumps, and I will keep an eye out for that.  Is there a connection between all that?  It all started the same night.  Yes, I ended up taking tylenol again this morning.  The pain is subsiding, but the bites still hurt. Or whatever they are.  I took a couple pictures with my phone in case they develop in to anything and I need to go to the doctor.  And no, other than the hip hurting, I haven't told hubby (yet) about the bites.

He did ask if I enjoyed the weekend.  I told him for the most part it was good, but it was also boring.  I think it made him sad because he said that he wanted to get me away for the weekend so that I could rest and had hoped I would enjoy it.  I get it. This was to be a fun weekend, and it was a nice weekend, but once his legs got weak, we were in the hotel. Now we have spent weekends in the hotel on 'retreats' and I'm all for that!!  I do enjoy those. But I wasn't really wanting to go in the first place but knew that if I gave the impression I didn't want to go, he would take it personally and life would be difficult. Sometimes it is easier to 'suck it up' and just do it to make them happy.  A little later he told me that at least he enjoyed the weekend and us being together.  Good grief - I am in this house 24x87 and he usually is here unless at a doctor appointment or out to breakfast/bible study!  It's not like I'm at the office working all week!!  But, I was 'all his' for the weekend.  Sigh.

As for the coughing, sinus issues, and nose blowing - it didn't happen when I was out shopping.  It was only in that room.  I could swear that I still smelled the disinfectant - although it has been about 4 years at least since we were there.  I'm better once we got home, but this morning - probably the tylenol loosing up my sinus cavity, I have had the nose blowing.  At this moment, my leg still hurts, the pin pricks still hurt, and my sinus ache, but hey - it's part of life, right?  Will give it a few days and if not better, will make an appointment to see my doctor.

You really wanted to know all that didn't you?    Waking up before 3AM because of pain is not my thing.  I managed to stay awake until hubby brought my coffee in this morning and then I intentionally went back to sleep for awhile.  I have a lot of work to catch up on today and knew I needed to be clear-minded.  All the distracting pain will go away shortly and I'll be fine.  Have training at 5PM so there's that too.  Need to be in shape for that!

Finished reading The Passion Translation bible this morning and am trying to decide what version I want to pick up and read.  I may grab the King James Version.  It's harder to read, but it brings out the king's English.  LOL  I love the NKJV because of the flow of the words.  NIV is a good one as well, and I cut my teeth on that one.  NLT is good as well.  Need to decide by in the morning, anyway!

And with that, I need to get off here and finish getting ready for the day.  Sorry I have just rambled on about my issues this morning.   Would appreciate prayers for healing; this is so uncomfortable and I don't like pain and distractions in my body.

I revert back to my verse I run to in these times....

Jeremiah 17:14 NKJV:  Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.

Blessings!
