I still say these apps that are attached to our watches are not correct. For most people, perhaps it is, but for hubby and I, I don't believe they are. Ok - for me, for sure, I know it isn't correct. At least for last night. In fact, I dis-believe in the 'sleep' reporting so much that I don't look at it often. Hubby looks at his daily to see what the number is, and then believes that although he may feel like he slept good, a 58 number indicates that he did not. DUH. Every time you move your watch will 'wake up' - in my opinion, anyway - right? So his may show several 'awake moments every single night and he bemoans how tired he is during the day. It may be true. But last night - for me - I didn't sleep well. And I'm pretty sure it is my brain fault. I looked at Facebook before going to bed = something I have been trying to break myself of - to NOT look at Facebook at all any more. And if you are a Facebook person, you know why I am saying that. You lose hours of your time. I've done pretty well overall.
It's not that I get so caught up (ok, so I do), but I love watching SOME of the reels. That's where I get caught up at. Or a story is started and it catches my eye. Or one of the Dahr Mahr (or whatever it is) reels on karma. You probably have watched them as well. Sigh. I got caught up in the reels for a short while last night - but enough that from about 12:20PM - 2-ishAM my mind was reviewing the stupid reels! I would catch myself going over them in my mind and then wake up enough to say 'ENOUGH - Lord, help me to push these out of my mind, and would You please.....' and I'd try to convert my thoughts to prayers. I don't feel I slept well at all - and I know I looked at the clock at 12:20AM, 1: something or other, 2: something or other..... sigh. So when hubby makes a lot of noise so that I would wake up this morning, I realized it was 5:30AM and I had planned to get up the hour before! Yes, hubby would shuffle back and forth down the hallway; surely he knows that his shuffling of feet does wake me up! But I needed to get up and now I'm fussing because I don't have time to dig into my current Bible study and sitting back and focusing on the things I want to focus on.... and here I am, after doing a bit of Bible reading, sitting here writing this. You must be pretty far up on my priority list.
Yesterday was another quiet day to where I even took off and went to Walmart over my 'lunch hour' and got some groceries. Hubby had told me we had one k-cup left for coffee this morning. Sigh. Most people would 1) either plan to run out to the store and pick up a small box at the grocery; 2) make a pot of coffee in the morning 3) not worry about. But, long story short, I decided to just stop any conversation about it and go pick up coffee. And a few other things. I had 'fun' with that YUKA app - and things I thought we good or ok - well, when it comes up 'bad' or 'poor', I'm thinking maybe they aren't so good. I probably ought to inquire more in to what the YUKA considers bad and poor. I am thinking it is more of the combination of processed foods that it will label 'poor' or 'bad'. It says my liquid Javy coffee is excellent, but the powdered form with 10g of protein in it, is 'poor'. And I have another bag on the way. I think I will cancel the bags and just go with the liquid. I am finding a do like my iced coffee late mornings or early afternoons. Could it be because it is so hot out? People go for ice tea; why can't I go for iced coffee" Right?
The people who clean our house are due here today so we will be 'cleaning' enough to get things put away. I just pick up things off the floor in here (boxes with gifts in them - already putting together a box for my sister for her 70th), put away things, empty my waste baskets. It's all good; I'm usually done in about 5-10 minutes. The come in here and dust the fan, a few other pieces of furniture - but they don't touch my desk. It's a mess anyway and I don't bother to pretend to clean it up for them. Then they run the sweeper in here. Since they only come once a month, the sweeper only gets ran once a month. I can't do any cleaning when hubby is home - and when he's not, I'm usually working. Or it's a night that I can sit and watch a chick flick all by myself. Or read.
Yeah, I'm rambling this morning. What do I have to share? I went to the gym last night; core workout. I'm feeling it this morning. My legs were hurting still from Monday night - plus I got over 12K in steps Tuesday - and when I commented on it to Morgan, she just smiled. She's so funny. She loves my facial expressions when she shows me how to do a difficult exercise and my face looks like 'Seriously? You got to be kidding me!" She just gives me a big smile and a wink and says "You can do it!" And I usually do with a lot of difficulty. Last night was no different. I will be taking off work early on Monday to go up north for a grandson's graduation so had to move my Monday workout to 7AM. I may have to start work at 6AM to get everything started for the day. It's all good. Wednesday is still at my usual time so no biggie. I have decided to take Wednesday off work as well as Thursday and Friday. Want to get some baking done before we head out Thursday so that I can take some with me.
When we talked with the grandson and his wife last week I asked about meals while we were there. They said one meal a day 'out', but then we went over recipes I can bring for us to make while there - after all, there will be 13-14 of us, counting baby. I don't want to think 'they' will take care of all the meals - that's not fair. I may send a list of groceries so that they can pick up before we get there. I don't expect Thursday to need a meal, and Friday is the 4th and they will do hamburgers out on the grill. Saturday may be the only time to cook... we leave to head back on Sunday morning. Oh well, thoughts are rambling through the brain this morning and I still want to talk to my daughter for her thoughts on meals. Not going to worry about it; just don't want to dump meals on other people to take care of.
I don't usually buy cereal or breakfast bars and haven't for awhile, but I checked one on a whim at the grocery yesterday. I checked out Kind Honey Oat bars - and you know what? They came out 'Excellent' with 78/100 - whatever the numbers represent. So I bought a small box of six. And I put a package in here last night so that I could eat them myself for breakfast. Once hubby finds them, he will be all over them. I wonder if Sam's Club has them in a bigger box. They are actually good - lots of fiber, for sure! And yes, I bought Dave's Killer Bread - thin sliced - too! It comes up excellent and I WANT BREAD sometimes. We did stop at The Habit for 'dinner' after working out last night. I got my burger wrapped in lettuce and it was really good and refreshing. Hubby of course got a grilled chicken sandwich, fries, and tea. I did eat some fries. And the scale was up this morning. Boo! I don't like scales either.
And with all this rambling, I have to get on the computer for work! Sleeping until 5:30AM and then struggling to wake up and next thing you know it is 6AM, then - well, it's 6:57AM right now and 7AM is 3 minutes away. Work time! Not that anyone cares. I more than make up any time 'off'.
So with all this - I'm off here. Hope that you weren't too bored with this reading. Maybe I will have interesting things to say when I return from the NM trip. I'm sure I bore you frequently. But - alas, I do need to get off here this morning! So with that!
Blessings!
