I don't know about the future....

We watched parts of the election news last night.  I had to frequently remind myself of 'faith over fear'.  Not so much on whether who I want to win does, but the fear of the unknown.  When our state flipped colors, I was very surprised, I admit.  But then, all the votes were not in and it could have flipped back during the night.  I don't know.  I'm not sure what I'm feeling this morning without hearing any of the news yet - apprehensive, perhaps?  Enough of that.  Results are unknown, and besides, I think it is Pennsylvania has ten days to count all their ballots?  Or some state.  I pray it won't lead to waiting for ten days.  That is really being unfair... or is it that God wants us to have patience while He works.

God is still on His throne.  I have to keep that in mind.  The song 'In His Time' came to mind this morning as I sat here wondering what to write about today.  Perhaps you have heard it years ago.  I had the cassette - you know those plastic things that had usually brown plastic 'tape' wrapped in the middle of it - but I think it went by the wayside in the move.   'Listen' to the words as you read them.

"In his time...... In his time..... He makes all things beautiful, in His time.    Lord please show me everyday, as you're teaching me your way, that you do just what you say, in your time.

In your time.....In your time.  You make all things beautiful, in your time.   Lord my life to you I bring.  May each song I have to sing, be to you a lovely thing, in your time.

Lord please show me everyday, as you are teaching me your way, that you do just what you say, in your time.

In your time..... in your time.... in your time..... in your time Lord.... you make all things beautiful, in your time.

Lord, my life to you I bring, may each song I have to sing, be to you a lovely thing, in your time.  Be to you a lovely thing, in your time."

For me it is a reminder that whatever God does, it is in His timing, not mine.   I don't know why things happen the way they do.  I don't understand why people turn away from God with their excuses.  Have I always followed Him?  No. I wish I had, for my life would have been a lot different.  But the examples of Christ in my life were not such that I had any thing more than a head knowledge of who Jesus is.  It has taken study to know and understand that Jesus lives IN me, not just in my head.  He lives in each of us - if we let Him.  Head knowledge versus heart knowledge...... I would take heart knowledge any day.

I go see the podiatrist today to check out my toe/foot.  I'm hoping for relief, for sure.  It's not as painful when I walk, but when it gets stepped on by Sheeba or it bends a certain way, I sure come up out of my chair still.  I'm always protecting it with my other foot when I'm sitting down and Sheeba comes around.

Christmas orders are coming in from Amazon quite frequently now.  I got several boxes yesterday.  Two boxes you wouldn't believe how they were packed.  I ordered two boxes of peanuts.  These two boxes - 7 in one, 10 in the other, were packed in a box about 2 ft x 18 inches x 6 inches..... with about six foot of plastic air packs.  Seriously.  And another package, which had a breakable item in it, came in a box, within another box, having about 6 inches of air space around it - no packing - and I didn't even have to open the box to hear glass rattling around inside.  I let Amazon know and they are sending a replacement out.  Once I make sure I don't get charged again, I'll see how much was damaged and if it would be useable for something else.  Hubby says no, throw away unopened.  But you know, I just gotta see.  What if it is just a small part that was broke?  LOL  It will still probably go into the trash.

I have boxes all over the 2nd bed.  I'll keep some for putting gifts in to wrap, and some will go out in the trash.  What a waste for these are good boxes for storage.  It's only November and I know that I'll get a lot more before the month is out so no need to hang on to them.  I'm getting behind in my wrapping though.  Work has been busy this week.  In fact, the week seems to be flying by.  I drive to Mesa tomorrow so won't get much office work done.  I should get to see the new office later in the afternoon, so I need to 'dress nicely' cause we will be in the corporate offices.  UGH.  I think I will still wear jeans - if I haven't worn them out yet cause that is all I have worn over the past 8 months every day.  Shoes - well, we'll see what the podiatrist says today.  I've tried wearing tennis shoes but that is the best I can do right now.

Need to take some time and think through my day so will hush.  Just remember that no matter what the outcome of the election is, God is still God, and He is still on His throne.  Nothing will happen that He doesn't allow.  Good or bad, He will walk us through it.  He will teach us, if we will let Him.  Open up your mind to 'hear' and 'understand'..... I need all the help I can get... and I'm going to assume you do too.

Blessings!
