Day one - vacation day!

We stayed up a little later last night watching movies... why? Cause I'm on vacation!  But, as usual, my mind woke up about 4:30a as usual.  I wanted to go back to sleep, but knew I couldn't, so finally got up and came in here.  Snuggled down in my chair, but I was always listening for hubby to get up, and sure enough, it wasn't long before I heard him shuffling down the hall.  He got the recycle out (I always put it behind my car the night before so he can push it down to the curb that next morning) and then brought me my coffee.  I've done my reading, praying, and checking emails... and here I am.  Maybe I'll take time while I'm on vacation to go through those emails and 'unsubscribe' to as many as I can.  I get so much junk emails that I never open, but they appear because I looked at something - or ordered something - and they won't leave me alone!  Does that happen to you as well?

As I read my bible and my book, I placed in another area so that I don't forget them when I finish packing. I did get my clothes pretty much packed yesterday.  Jeans and t-shirts will be my attire as I don't plan for us to go out to eat.  But what can we do 'special' on our anniversary?  I see there are a couple restaurants nearby so maybe I should take a dress?  I need to see what groceries to take; yes, I said I wasn't going to 'cook', but I can't eat out every meal.... hubby isn't satisfied with a danish; he wants eggs and bacon and toast and potatoes..... and danish are not good for us anyway.  Sigh.  Will take a couple things to get us by should a grocery not be nearby. We aren't in the usual area we have gone to in the past with a nice cabin and one restaurant.  I was looking at the airbnb yesterday and it is among other houses and as mentioned above, looks like it has a couple restaurants not far... Lord knows we could skip a couple meals...  but, we will probably eat breakfast late morning, then scoot through lunch, have an early dinner.  We do that here frequently. And yes, I'm rambling.  Are you still reading? LOL

Gasp!  It's 7:04a and I don't have the work computer on!  You know what?  It's a nice feeling not to have to face that for three work days.  I hope to totally relax.  But, just for the record for yesterday, I did get one set of board minutes completed - AND - got the deck set up for the next meeting (which will be in December).  I have one other set of minutes to do at this time, and I need to double check the deck for the upcoming board meeting on September 10 for another board.  But, that will be when I get back. I think I have those minutes done; just need to get the deck set up for people to drop their slides in.  The prep is when I get back.  We have a town hall on the 19th, but I'm just back-up for that and no minutes.  I love the mornings I can just sit in here and be quiet, and do whatever I want to.

My oldest son has outpatient surgery tomorrow morning.  I'm not anxious about it for I have put him in God's hands.  Actually, I did that many, many years ago when I dedicated him to the Lord as an infant.  But I have also placed him in God's hands many, many times since then.  Not to say I am not 'concerned' about his welfare, but there is nothing I can do and God is the great Jehovah Rapha (or Jehovah Rophe), the great Healer, and I will give Him the glory for all.  But I wish I could be there.  I feel guilty for going on vacation, even with him telling me to go.  I am praying also for my daughter-in-love, for she will also need strength to get through this.  I hope someone will be there with her during surgery.  I will definitely be praying tomorrow morning, (and before then) and waiting to hear news it was successful. All praise will be the Lord's.  I can only be an instrument in His hands to pray.  I am already even praying for the doctors, that they get a good night's sleep and are well rested and alert during the surgery tomorrow.

On our way out of town today we will be stopping to get pedicures; that's my anniversary gift from hubby.  My fingernails are finally strong again so I don't want them touching my nails!  My toes though, can use the extra care.  And I refuse, as mentioned before, to cut hubby's toenails.  I'm more than willing to pay for him a pedicure (and he has his preferences on where to go!) so that I don't have to!  Men, if you have never had a pedicure, you don't know what you are missing!  It does feel sooooo good!  Hubby likes manicures too, but we aren't getting them today.

I'm thinking we may go to Denny's for breakfast - I get a free 'slam' for my birthday.... that would take care of paying for my meal and hubby can get what he wants.  I'm not a big breakfast person; I prefer lunches (or dinners) where I can get a good salad, although I sometimes will order something different.  I know at Black Bear I love their cheeseburger salads - I kid you not - it tastes just like a cheeseburger!! And it's not on the menu any longer so you have to ask for it.  I'm getting hungry... is that why I am thinking about food?  LOL  I did just drink a shake for dinner last night since hubby was gone.  And it was early evening, so yeah, I may just be getting hungry.

I do play on our way back to swing by White Castle; I have to; it's too close to our drive to NOT stop.  I will get one case for us.... wonder if any of the others want any.... they would have to let me know.

The youngest son headed up north yesterday to celebrate a great-grandson's birthday and will be coming back today, I think he said.  I can't keep up on the years anymore the for the little ones; I do good to remember the dates!  Why is that? The grandchildren I did good with - for awhile.  Now I do good the remember the date itself.  Age? Unless I put the year down on the calendar, I never can remember. They are always young to me.

Matthew 18:19-20 (AMP):  Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree (that is, are of one mind, in harmony) about anything that they ask (within the will of God), it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name (meeting together as My followers), I am there among them.

I have found that at times, if I read another version of the Bible, it makes what I'm reading more clear. That's why I like the study bibles; I get that person's opinion of what a scripture means, and yet, I can form my own opinion of what it means.  It sheds light on the verse.  Does that make sense?  I have some friends who refuse to use a study bible because they think it is wrong to get someone else's opinion about what the scripture means.  And I respect that.  Unfortunately, my mind doesn't work that way.  I was never taught to meditate on scripture and seek to know what it means.  I mean, I have learned to do that sense I because a Christian, but in all honesty, I don't feel I have the time to devote to just studying and meditating on a verse or two.  Maybe it is I just don't take the time, but if I am confused about what a scripture could possibly mean, or it doesn't make sense, sometimes the study bible in another version will make it more clear. Does that make sense?  I have read through several versions of the Bible.  NASB, KJV, NKJV, NIV, TLB, NLT, ESV (which I'm reading now)... over the years I have read through each one.  The one I haven't - yet - but want to, is my dad's Bible.  It's a Teacher's Bible.  I want to take it to a binding company and have them rebind it for me.  After all, it is over 60 years old, I think.  That's my goal to read for 2027.  I'm going to get it re-bound and I won't need to worry about the cover falling apart.  You can't find this Bible anymore, so I'm reluctant to let it out of my possession, even to rebind it.  But I need to, so that it can be read for years to come.

The key to the above scripture, I feel, is not that two believers (or more) pray in agreement for what we feel is the will of God, and many times it is.  But... what if God wants to use whatever situation to bring others to Him?  I know I am not saying it right; sometimes character comes out during these times we seek God.  Do we really believe He will do what we ask?  What is in our life going on that perhaps God will not hear our prayer?  Look at this scripture....

I Peter 3:7 (NIV):  Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

Peter calls out the husbands as the spiritual leaders of their homes.  And he is quite blunt about it!  If you do not treat your wife with respect, do not expect God to listen to your prayers.  If you do not speak gently to your wife, your prayers will hit the ceiling, if they even go that far.  They will just be words.  Many husbands overlook this scripture.  They believe they are a Christian, after all, they do go to church, yes?  But they belittle their wives and expect God to hear their prayers when they pray. Well, Peter says that isn't happening.

And, I imagine, the same is true of the wives. I can't call out one from the other.  Am I always respectful of my spouse? No. I confess that.  It doesn't matter what he has done to me, or said to me, or to anything affecting me, I can not use that as an excuse for my own behavior.  I am called to forgive whatever the offense is (even without an apology.  Most men (I said MOST) don't even realize what they are doing! I am responsible for my own salvation; I must be right with God; it doesn't depend on my spouse, my children, or even my pastor.

I want God to hear my prayers, therefore, I must confess all before Him, ask for His help to change, and I confess that I have to do that frequently; sigh....  but I want God to hear my prayers, and even more than that, I want Him to answer.  Lord Jesus, help me become the woman You created me to be.  Help me not to focus on the past pain, but to seek Your face and let the rest go.

Letting go.  That is sometimes the hard part, isn't it?  We have no need to hold our pain tightly in our hand, when we can let it go and let God bring the healing we need.  What are you holding on to that you can't let go of?  Anger?  Bitterness?  Yeah, I've had to fight my way through those for a few years. (yes, years).  Sometimes the answer is 'right there', but God can't give it to us because we aren't asking with the right heart.  Maybe we need to just sit back and think about what we are holding on to.  Offended? Get over it.  Look what Jesus did for you!

And, since I can keep going on and on about this.... I am going to hush and get ready to go out for breakfast (some people may go in their jammies, but I'm not one of them), take a shower, finish packing... and prepare my heart and mind to enjoy this time away from work (may even get to have some 'good' painful discussions while we are gone) and home.

Have an amazingly Blessed day!

Blessings!

It is supposed to arrive today....

my gift from my little sister, that is.  She sent it last week and they told her it would be delivered on Saturday. She was assured it will be.  Can't trust the post office anymore. They apparently 'lost' it for awhile; I got notification it hit 'Avondale' yesterday morning, and by last night was in Phoenix, and just now I got a text that the package is 'enroute to Sun City'.  It stayed in Indianapolis 2-3 days before they sent it out.  But - it should be here by 9p tonight.  Our mail lady delivers around noon - 3p so maybe then I will have it?  My sister always send unique gifts so it will be fun to open.  I have two boxes to send out to her sometime today - her birthday is Sunday.  LOL just got another notification my gift has arrived at the post office in Sun City.  I should get it today then for sure!

Today is my 'last' working day this week.  I still have work to get done (think minutes) so it won't be too boring... if I can just get on it.  Yesterday morning was busy, but things slowed down some in the afternoon.  We did go over to the deli for my free birthday cookie.  We got our food, I got my cookie, and then the manager offered hubby a free cookie as well.  It was fun to get to see her and she came out and gave us a hug as soon as she saw us.  I love hugs.   I have gotten numerous emails for 'freebies' or 'discounts' from various places for my birthday, but as I have mentioned before, I won't use the majority of them. In fact, this is the only one I've used thus far.... and we're leaving town. Maybe I need to look at expiration dates before I delete them.

The song 'Another One' has been playing through my mind this morning.  It's sung by a Chris Brown.  I find the lyrics, but I can't pull them into here - so basically, the words that keep going through my mind this morning are.... "Miracle, after miracle; Open door, after open door; Here it comes, get ready for another one, another one is on the way!"   You can look it up to hear it.  Anyway - I am claiming that miracle.  I've seen miracles happen in my lifetime, and I am expecting more miracles to happen yet.  The key is always giving God glory for the miracles that happen.  I am praying even now for miracles, and I see some happening, and have happened, throughout the years - and I give God all the glory.  He alone is worthy to be praised.

My daughter sent me a video she had made 17 years ago.  Yep - it was for my 60th birthday, and as I watched it again, occasionally a tear would overflow my eyes.  I remember that day well.  Grandson's birthday.  I had been suffering a severe gallstone attack, but didn't know it.  I was so surprised when we went to Marie Callendar's and I was led to a room with my graduation picture sitting outside on an easel.  In pain, confused, thinking we were having dinner with the daughter.  People everywhere. It finally sunk in what was happening, but it was difficult to enjoy with the pain I was in.  (Tests later showed I had 3 large gallstones pressing to get out - hence the intense pain I felt; I thought it was my heart! and almost went to the ER)  But I remember the evening; I just wish I was more alert and able to enjoy it more.  I didn't even change clothes from work - wore t-shirt and blue jeans!  Anyway - the video - yes, there was a video made and I watched it.  I have the dvd here somewhere of it as well.  But it will be nice to save on the computer this morning so that I can watch it anytime.

Hubby has his bible study tonight with his friend, and I have a jar of salsa to get to a grandson. Plus a couple things for his dad.  Haven't decided yet if I will drive over to their place or take up to my daughter in law before she leaves work tonight.

I have a 9:30a with Morgan this morning, my last one for this week.  Hubby's is at 10a, I think.  I know today will be legs.... ugh... which means in two days I will be walking and sitting with great difficulty. Oh well, got to get this body in shape so that it can keep moving, right?

I still have mixed emotions about going on vacation as my son has surgery on Thursday ... I would stay in a heart beat if he wanted me to, but he has told me to go on vacation as his wife will be there.  It's still a serious operation, even if just overnight.  I will be in prayer for him, for sure, and I want to be there with him.  I could have moved the vacation out - that would have been no problem. And if he asked me today, I would still cancel and move the date out.  But I respect his wishes.  But for his major surgery, I will be there.  This one is serious, but I don't want to infringe upon my rights as a mother to be there. He has a wife, and children.  They are first. He knows (I hope) that I will be there in prayer.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV):  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

When we remember that all we have comes from God, His perfect and total provision, it removes the fear that often prevents us giving to others. We think we won't have.  But God.  He is able to make all grace abound to us.  We can rest in His grace that we have all that we need, and what we have need of, He will supply for us.  One thing my mama taught me growing up that is good..... You can never outgive God.  The more you give to Him; give away.... the more He returns to you.  He will supply all you NEED (not necessarily all we WANT - there is a difference!)..

I remember growing up we didn't have much at all.  I've mentioned before I had two dresses for all my elementary school years.  My step brother worked at a department store and one year he stole some things... of which I had gotten dresses from him for Christmas that year.  I was so excited; I had to be about 9 or 10, I imagine.  But he got caught shortly afterwards, went to jail.  I had to return all but one or two of the dresses (that I hadn't worn).  I don't remember how long he was in jail, but not long.  I think he died a few years later.  I didn't know him very well as he never lived with us after my mother remarried.  Anyway - thinking about it, I know that God supplied what we needed, (and didn't even know that we needed it!)... but getting dolls and things like that - it didn't happen.  With 11 kids, none of us got a lot, trust me!

God has proven how much He can provide for us over the years - and it isn't always just even needs.  He often gives us also what we want.  He loves to surprise us with the little things, and those little things we must take notice of.  So many times we take things for granted; that they should happen, or they should be there for us.  But do we pause to think that perhaps God orchestrated that green light when we needed to get somewhere?  That red light when He wanted us to slow down a bit?  It's the little things He does for us that we need to pay more attention to.

And, of course, I need to pay attention to the clock and get off here and ready for work.  The computer is already turned on, but I do need to get dressed yet.  So I'm off here for today.  I pray that you have a blessed day, that you will know the overwhelming love of God today for you.

Blessings!

Tried something different

in a way.  I read an article somewhere that one shouldn't sleep with a fan on them because the fan disturbs the body.  Huh. I thought it kept it cool. LOL Well, anyway, it said to turn the thermostat down to 60-70 degrees instead of using a fan.  I've asked hubby to turn our thermostat down to at least 74 - but he leaves it around 78 and has the fan going over the bed.  I told him what I had read and he left the fan off last night and turned the thermostat down to 72, I think he said. Did we sleep better?  Honestly, I'm not sure. I think he did.  I think I slept deeper when I did sleep, but although I was really tired when I went to bed, my body wouldn't shut off and let me sleep.  So the results are still out on that one.  Honestly, I did like it cooler and no fan.  I did notice I didn't wake up sweating during the night, which I usually do - and I don't sweat!  (I glisten).

Huh. Just got a text from my oldest brother - he is telling me to never ever ever - when using antibiotics prescribed by your doctor - ever, repeat NEVER accept Sulfameth/Trimethoprime.  He was prescribed it (for what I don't know) and after two pills - it sent him to urgent care and then he slept more than 28 hours.  I don't know what he took it for, but I'm thinking it was for his bronchitis which has lingered for months.  Another name that we will recognize (I googled it) is Bactrim - and that is what I took when I had bronchitis years ago - but it did not affect me like that - if I recall.  It may have caused me to sleep a lot, but I mark that up to getting better.  But, my brother is also a diabetic so it could have counter-hit him hard.   I hope he's ok!  He is 80 now and I'm glad he works at keeping himself as healthy as he can - but to be going to urgent care.... that is scary.

Today is my little sister's birthday and I've already called her and wished her happy birthday.  She said her son made a decision and told her this is the way it is.  Her youngest son will be arriving this morning from Tennessee.  At 1PM they will be going to the Mexican restaurant for lunch - then will come back to her house for cake and ice cream.  She's happy.  I guess that is what counts on the birthday, right?

I was able to get everyone to approve their timecards yesterday so I got my part done by approving them all - so now I don't have to get on the work computer on Monday.  Whoo hoo!  There are a couple people that getting them to approve their timecard is like pulling teeth.  It takes two-three reminders before they do it - and it did yesterday as well - but they did get their timecards approved before I got off the computer.  So I am officially on vacation now.  I've toyed with the idea of us leaving tomorrow and staying somewhere and finishing the drive Monday - just to get out of town.  But, hubby needs to do his laundry yet (I 'upset' him cause I did my laundry was he was out on Friday. :-) He says that is HIS job) and we both still need to pack. Not much - I will throw in a pair of jean and a couple t-shirts and clean underwear and I'm ready.  We're only gone 3 nights and 4 days.  We may eat out at a nice place one night near the hotel so I may relent and take a dress just cause.  Or not.  Everything is so casual out here jeans may be ok too.

Not much planned for today.  I'm planning on fixing breakfast for us this morning and I may fix some and take over to Ms. Diane to get her to eat - and take some strawberries over to her as well.  Then take some strawberries over to Ms. Vicky.

Strawberries?  Oh yeah - I picked up four cases of strawberries yesterday and washed and hulled them and put the majority in the freezer last night.  We have plenty of strawberries now, for sure.  I need to find more recipes for using strawberries.  I love the strawberry delight that is frozen and so yummy.  And of course we use strawberries in our protein shakes.  I can use it for homemade ice cream, and of course there is also my strawberry cranberry jam.... I think I saw a recipe for strawberry bread.  Doesn't really appeal to me, but I've never had it so guess I need to make it and try it - right?

I read something earlier today, and I don't have time to write it all out now, so hope I can remember tomorrow or even Monday to do it.  I don't have time now because before I started writing in here, I was 'overcome' with sleepiness - and because I could - I went back to sleep and slept nearly an hour, I think. My body needed it, I guess.  Sometimes one needs to just give in and let it happen, right?  And I did. I still was up early this morning and I guess the thought I didn't have to get on the work computer let me relax enough to doze for a bit. And it felt good.

2 Corinthians 7:1 (NKJV):  Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

I had to look up in my study bible what that could mean.... and it basically means that we should stay away from those who influence us to do sinful things.  I can actually use an example.  My little sister has a neighbor whose every other word begins with 'F' and she is very crude and hard. My sister continuously asks her NOT to speak like that around her - but the neighbor does it anyway.  So my sister steps away for awhile.  If she hung around her a lot, she would start using that word because it has become a common word to her mind.  Does that make sense?

To me, it is the same as watching violent TV shows and movies.  Some REALLY uses a lot of that language that is (in my opinion unneeded and unworthy) and if you constantly watch them, you find those words coming out of your mouth even when you don't mean to say them.

And with saying that, I feel we have so much violence (in my opinion) in this world because our children have been brought up watching that violence and they think it is ok and the norm to go off on people and beat them up or shoot them or whatever. They think it is normal.

As Christians, we are to stay away from those things that will cause us to sin - whether in word or action.  Don't hang around with friends who influence you to do things that you know are not right.  I have cut out some things in my past.... certain types of books I used to read are no longer on my bookcase. I don't read them.  Did I enjoy them when I read them?  Yes I did.  But, I know that I should not be reading those types of books and have stopped.

We have Christian authors who write very good romance novels and I have read a few. I'm just not a reader of those much anymore. I do read my friend Jenny's books and post reviews for her to help her sell her books, but even that is few and far between.  They are good books, but I'm just not in to romance novels anymore - even historical romance like hers are.

And.... I am starting to ramble so will hush and get off here.  It's almost 9AM - unheard of! - and I should go fix breakfast. I hear hubby walking around and you know he is waiting on me to cook for him. I skipped lunch yesterday and so what did he say he had for lunch?  A stalk of celery and ... something else, I don't remember.   Last night we ran down to Jack in the Box for 'dinner' since I was buried in strawberries.... and it occurred to me that it was like I had another child.  Sometime I wlll elaborate on that, but not now.

Have a great day!

Blessings!

He did agree.... but modified...

When I suggested to hubby that we not go to the cabin but instead visit a couple places in the state and actually DO something, and stay at a hotel a night or two.... he came to me yesterday morning and said he thought about it and he thought that was a good idea - BUT THEN he says... "we can stay in a hotel up north for 3-4 nights."  And do what?  It only takes one day to see what I suggested to see.  Drive up one day, walk around, stay overnight, go see the attraction the next day; come home - or at most, stay one more night.  But no.... he has this other mindset.  He drives me crazy.  I think it was my comment "if we go to the cabin I'm buying TV dinners for the entire week" that got him.  Some times I think food is all he thinks about.  Yesterday morning he went out to breakfast with his friends... at 7:30AM.. ... around 11AM he asked about lunch and I thought I'd heat up some left over chicken - and he said to he'd have some too.  I looked at him in shock - "you just ate breakfast!"  "Yeah, but that was at 7:30!  And he ate again.  I didn't fix dinner though.  I wasn't really hungry so only had a piece of string cheese and some crackers; I'm not sure what he ate.... I don't remember.  But I didn't cook.... so heaven forbid he would cook something.  I don't think we have any more TV dinners.

I wanted to go visit Ms. Diane last night so I called over - no answer.  A little later her daughter called - Ms. Diane had been taken to the hospital the day before.  Guess she had gotten up out of bed Wednesday night and fell, hitting her head on the nightstand... and it bled... and she was so weak and disoriented that she crawled into different rooms.... her daughter called Thursday morning and no answer.... and since her mother was prone to leaving her phone in the bedroom, she wasn't too concerned.  But she did take time to come over late morning - to find Ms. Diane laying on the floor, where she had laid all night.  Blood on the tile floor and on the carpet.   They had an ambulance take her to the hospital - we never even know it!  Our hospitals have gotten so bad - she had been taken to the hospital mid-morning on Thursday - and yesterday was STILL IN THE ER!  She is a diabetic and has a sore on her foot - which was there over a month ago for I saw it then - and it is now huge and has started going up her leg.  A medical person was supposedly coming over to check on it - but obviously wasn't for it had not been treated.  I told her daughter she was a good daughter to see her mom every day and to take care of her.  Ms. Diane has agreed that she needs to go to an assisted living facility and to sell the house.  She wants to go now... which would be ideal, except her children want to check out the ALs and find one that can be good for Ms. Diane.  And soon... they don't want her changing her mind when she gets back home!  Hopefully they will admit her for a few days and take care of the sore, plus get her to eat more and help her get healthy.  She is 86, I think.

Had I shared with you about Ms. Amy?  I know, I'm rambling thus far this morning.  Sorry about that.  I am hoping to get over to visit her this afternoon - which might be for the last time.  Her daughters, Pamela and Melessa where here for about 10 days earlier this month.  Melessa has MS and can't do anything, but Pamela had to bring her as Melessa lives with her.  Anyway... Pamela worked hard and did a lot of packing and getting Ms. Amy's things together.  The movers came a week ago, I think, and loaded up the furniture Ms. Amy wanted to take to Florida.  The following Tuesday (was it just last Tuesday?) Pamela and Melessa headed back to Florida.  When they arrived, Pamela was having a hissy saying her key didn't work in the lock so called me to come over and open the door.  Interestingly, after I opened the screen door, she tried her key on the the main door and opened it.  She took my key and said she'd rather use it.  Ok.... never saw her again.... then Tuesday morning she shows up at the door to hand me the key ring back and tell me they were leaving and 'oh, thanks for what you've done for mommy'.  I glance at the keyring and notice no key (not that it is a big deal) and commented that the key wasn't there.  She informed me that 'she had already taken care of everything at the house; her younger sister and husband were coming out in a couple weeks and they have their own key (but does it fit?) and I don't need to do ANYTHING with the house anymore and Ms. Amy doesn't need to be brought back over.  It was kind of rude, actually, the way she said it.   Fine - I don't need a key.  I do admit I was curious as to what furniture the daughter decided to send, versus what her mother wanted to take.  I was planning to go over and do a looksee.... but I now have no key and have been told it is none of my responsibility anymore.  She also said she had taken care of all the mail - I hope she hasn't screwed that up - it was going to the son in Indiana except for a few pieces.  I haven't checked the mailbox since they left, but I may today if I think about it.  I had a thought about texting the brother and tell him ... but decided I'd just mind my own business.  But, I do want to go over and see Ms. Amy - probably for the last time as she is to go to Florida the first week of June.  I would like to tell her goodbye.

And then there is Ms. Vicky.  I haven't seen nor talked to her for a couple weeks so do need to touch base with her this weekend.  Hopefully she is doing ok.  She is around my age... but is a large woman and has a bad knee and uses a walker even in the house.  I hope she hasn't fallen.  I do have her garage access number and can get in her house, although I've never tired it.  She hasn't called me either.  We did get some of her mail yesterday and we could just put in her mailbox, which is next to ours... may do that this morning.... and then I can check her mailbox and take the mail to her this afternoon if she hadn't gotten it yet.  Praying she is doing ok.....

I am going to our Ladies Heart Crew lunch at church today.  Still trying to get involved with some of the women from church.  It starts at 11AM and I will 'assume' it will be over around 1PM.  It will be a nice break in the day too.  I think I will need to clean up for that - although many will wear jeans.  I haven't been to any of these luncheons yet so will figure out the 'dress code' today.

Maybe I will cook breakfast this morning - bacon and eggs and toast.  Hubby will eat anything I fix and I'm sure he is hungry....he usually is.  I don't want to go out to eat; afterall, I'm going to a luncheon today.  Actually, a bacon and egg sandwich sounds good.  But then, I do have potatoes so maybe I'll fry up a potato (diced) and then add a mixture of eggs, jalapenos, onions, cheese in it... I still fix that occasionally and it is still so good.  Yeah, I'll fix the potato/egg dish... that will fill hubby up and he will be ok with snacking for his lunch.

Psalm 23:3 (NKJV):  "He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake."

He restores my soul.  Some days - especially lately - that is what I need.  Do you ever recite/quote the 23rd Psalm?  I'm sure you know it all.  But this morning I am thinking about this one part.  He restores my soul.  Ever feel like life has hit you and you feel like you have been run over by a mack truck (wherever did that saying come from?  Did someone actually get hit by a mack truck?)..... and you do not know where to turn or what to do or what to say.... and you feel so empty inside.... ?  It is then that we can cry out to our Shepherd and ask Him to 'restore my soul'.  When we call out to Him, He will answer.  Perhaps not in ways we want to hear or see, but He will answer.

If I have nothing left, I know I have Jesus.  I have my Heavenly Father.  I have the Holy Spirit.  And my soul is restored.  In Him I have HOPE.  I live, because He lives.  And, because He still lives, I can face tomorrow.  Because I know that He alone holds my future, the future of my loved ones, and it is in Him that I trust.  I am so grateful He drew me back to Him years ago so that I could be prepared for 'such a time as this'.  My heart is in anguish over things... and it seems one thing after another is going on at this time... but I know I can believe in His faithfulness to me.  I can believe that He will orchestrate everything in His time.  And I know He cares for me and will walk this journey with me.  Can you just imagine how I'd be if I didn't know Him?  I am beyond grateful for His intervention in my life.

Does your soul need restored this morning?  Are things kind of crazy at your house too?  Lean into Jesus and let Him not only restore you, but lead you .... for His name's sake.

Blessings!

My nails look gorgeous!

Yes, I did go and get my nails done with my daughter and granddaughter last night.  I actually arrived before they did and had already a good start on my nails before they got there.  You know I prefer getting anywhere at least 10 minutes before my appointment. :-)  They opted to also get pedicures, but because I hadn't talked to either of them about it all week, I didn't know they had planned it. No problem, I could have gotten it done too as there were people available to do it, but I opted out.  I hadn't brought flip flops or sandals so was ok with not doing it.  But my nails look great!  I just have to learn to type again because I'm used to my fingers hitting the keys and now my nails are getting in the way.  Not that they are long, but they are longer than they were; but they do look so nice!  Came home after that and of course I had to fix dinner cause hubby was still sitting and watching TV.

I did have a great time sitting and chatting with my granddaughter after our nails were done.  For some reason the person doing my daughter's nails was r-e-a-l  s-l-o-w.  Seriously.  I had a full set of tips done and he was done in maybe 40 minutes.  I think hers took over an hour.  Anyway, I was able to share a little about my mom and Granny to my granddaughter; about their crocheting/knitting, and she showed me a video she was putting together saying she was a 'fifth generation' crochet-knitter.  They make those videos to move so fast I don't have the ability to read all they write on them!

Yesterday was a busy day with scheduling meetings and all.  Today will be almost as busy as I had sent out emails regarding other leaders availability, and as I left at 3PM yesterday, I checked when I got back home and I had gotten some responses.  Will be working on those this morning.  So glad today is Friday.  The only thing planned for this weekend that I'm aware of is a memorial service at our former church on Saturday for a friend, and then church on Sunday.

I do need to get started on typing the message I have left for this season up north.  I have the topic and the scripture...it's just getting it typed up.  Hopefully I can get started on it this weekend.  I've already got the schedule for the 23-24 season.  Five times at one RV park, two times at another.  Hubby, as I mentioned before, 'retired' from speaking at either place.  He always stressed out a lot whenever he was to speak.  And everyone tells him he is a teacher, not a preacher.

Looks like our anniversary vacation plans are made for this year.  Hubby found a cabin in an area we have stayed at before.  It looks really nice, so after getting my approval, hubby put down the deposit and we will be on vacation 8/11 - 8/16.  There isn't much around that area so will need to drive 30 minutes to wherever we go... but plan to get a lot of reading/crochet/knitting done while there.  And a lot of rest. Hopefully some walking, if I can talk hubby in to it.  And as we are going northeast(?) we will be able to meet two of the grandsons and a great-granddaughter halfway so we can see them this year.  Not sure if we saw the boys at all last year, but the great-granddaughter did spend some time with her grandpa so got to see her.

I read a chapter in the book A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by Phillip Keller this morning and as he shared about sheep (he was a 'real' Shepherd at one time), he shared how much we are like sheep.  Guess that is why Jesus referred to Himself as our Shepherd and we His sheep.  We are really stupid.  Sheep do what they want to do, unless the Shepherd keeps them in line.  As long as they follow a good Shepherd's leading, they will be free of parasites, pests, hunger, and running away.  They will be led to green pastures.  Did you know that a good shepherd keeps an eye on the pastures he takes the sheep to, and when he sees they are devouring too much of the grass (some sheep will even pull the grass up by the roots and that leaves the pastures bare and open to erosion), they will move them to another pasture, sometimes it is after a few days, sometimes it is a weekly thing.  I guess it depends on how many sheep one manages.  But unless you have a good shepherd, you will destroy the pastures; sheep go in continuous paths, which means the ground gets rutted and erosion happens and the sheep, when allowed to stay in the same area, become sickly.  It's really interesting how the shepherd must watch over every aspect of the sheep to make sure they are well fed and taken care of, with amply water supply and free of pests and things that can hurt them.

Psalm 23:3 (NKJV):  "He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake."

When we allow our Good Shepherd to lead us (i.e. Jesus), we will stay on the right path, we will feel His Presence (and that is so wonderful to feel!) and He will never leave us nor forsake us to become overcome with the world.  He keeps our paths straight.  Oh that everyone would follow Jesus and accept Him as Lord!  Your life would never be the same!

Jesus never asks you to give up your lifestyle.  You want to do it willingly to please Him.  When we allow Jesus to fill us with His Holy Spirit, life is never the same.  It may not all be perfect (it usually isn't) and it may not solve all our problems (financial or personal), but you will be at peace when you follow the path He has for you.

Ever wonder why your life is full of strife and troubles?  It's because as a sheep, you are following the wrong shepherd!  Jesus is the Good Shepherd.  He will always lead you in paths of righteousness.  He will always do good to you.  It's when we do things without Him, and do things our own way, and shut Him out of our lives, that we become discontent and without hope.

So where is your hope today?  In the gutter?  Turn to Jesus and seek His face, His love, His forgiveness.  He IS your Hope.  He is all that you need.  He truly is our Great Shepherd, one who loves us more than we can ever imagine.  Choose Jesus as your Shepherd.  He really is a good Shepherd who loves and forgives you when you go astray.  No.matter.what.  You have not done anything that He could not forgive you for.  Follow the Good Shepherd.

Blessings!

40 years.... it's hard to imagine....

we decided to 'take the plunge' and get married.  There were so many things involved at the time, so many things that influenced my (our) decision... but we did it. I remember standing at the back of the church, crying, because I didn't want to do it, but didn't know how to stop it. So I went down the aisle.  I cannot say it was been a good 40 years, for it has not.  Probably not for either of us.  It has been rough.  Many times I wanted to walk away and start over.  So what made me stay?

Jesus.  He was the reason I stayed.  He is still the reason I stay.  I made the decision 40 years ago, when I rededicated my life to Jesus, that I will follow Him, no matter what.  It hasn't been easy.  There has been a lot of heartache, a lot of brokenness.  There has been a lot more forgiveness.  There has to be, in any marriage, a lot of forgiveness.  A lot of little things can add up into big things and then they explode.  In most marriages, anyway, and definitely in mine.  Many times I wanted to run away.  Many times I just didn't want to do this anymore.  But I stayed.

Why?  Why did I continue on when I knew that it wasn't going to change much?  Because I know in my heart, and in my mind, that as long as I keep my eyes on Jesus, He will get me through anything that I have to go through.  Words can hurt.  Anger is an awful thing.  But with Jesus, well, I have a couple things I try to always remember.

Jesus died for them just as He did for me.

I love Jesus more than I want my way.  Freedom isn't freedom if you don't have Jesus.

I don't want you to get the wrong impression.... we have had some good times, and I'm hoping this week will be one of those.  We leave for vacation about noon tomorrow to get away for a week.  I'm am in great need for rest and relaxation, although I do plenty of that in the evenings here.  Perhaps it is more the change of scenery. We'll be in the mountains (of sort), and cooler weather (by a few degrees), and totally alone with each other (which isn't much different than it is now) and we'll probably be doing the same things - (reading, watching movies, crocheting/knitting, etc.).... it's more of a vacation for hubby in that he won't be feeling guilty about doing things... whereas I still have the cooking to do for the most part.  And that's ok.  We'll get through that.  I'm taking quick and easy food with us that will get us through and we will be picking up some things while there.  We may be eating a lot of frozen foods that I can throw in the oven.  Easy cooking.  My favorite part of the vacation time is that I won't have to work.  Some days it really wears me down, and that is what makes me so tired.  Been working since I was 15 1/2...except for a couple years.  I'm tired.  Mentally and physically.

Hubby gave me a beautiful card for our anniversary.  I'm terrible at cards anymore.  I never can find one that I want it to say; so I either make one (only I forgot this time) or don't give one (which is what happened this morning).  Then I feel guilty cause I didn't buy a card... but they are so expensive and unless they really mean a lot to me, they get thrown away at some point.  (Just for the record, I still have one from my son that I received last year for my birthday sitting on the top of my bookcase in here).  Hubby buys really mushy cards and always writes a note in them.  Most I have saved, for they are sweet.

As I read in Haggai this morning, there was a statement that stood out to me.  Four words, actually.  Now Haggai is in the Old Testament, which means before Jesus was born.  You really ought to grab your Bible and read Haggai - it's only two chapters long.  Anyway - look at this!

Haggai 2:6-9 (NKJV):  "For thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts. 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts.  'The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts.  'And in this place I will give peace,' says the Lord of hosts."

Did you pick up on it?  The 'Desire of all Nations'.  God the Father is sharing that there will be a time that Jesus will be the Desire of all Nations' when He returns.  Are you ready to make Jesus your desire?

I will promise you, that if you accept Jesus as Lord, nothing will remain the same.  You will find yourself thinking differently, treating people differently, and being different.  It doesn't always mean that your life is turned upside down.  For some people they do a complete turnaround.  For others, it is a process.

Following Jesus is never scary... and it is the best decision you will ever make.  He will get you through some really tough times.  Trust me.  I am who I am today, because of Jesus.  Do I fail sometimes?  Absolutely.  But Jesus is also forgiving as well as loving, and He sets my feet back on solid ground.  Just keep trusting and keep believing.

I'm lost (literally!) without Jesus as Lord.  And so are you.  But it's a choice.  Which one will you make today?

Blessings!

Touching base...

We had company over the weekend and they sleep here in my 'office', my 'quiet room', my 'reading' room, my 'writing room'.  All of those things and sometimes even 'my bedroom'.    I knew with having to move my reading, quiet time, etc. to the front room for a couple days would make it more difficult to have the quiet I need to focus on what I write (yes, I try to focus as I write), so I left the computer in the room.  We had a nice weekend and now we are back to normal and I'm in my room.  I debated on even writing this morning as I haven't  for a couple days and I said I was going to take a sabatical for awhile.  But you know what?  I missed touching base here before I start my day.

Yes, a lot of what I write is nonsense, and some is just fill-in stuff, but it shows whoever reads this that I lived for that day.  For some reason I keep thinking of that, of which I wrote about a few posts ago.  This blog is a witness that I lived to those whom I do not see often or have contact with.  Granted, I don't know (again) who all reads this, but I vaguely know who all I gave the address to many years ago when I started it.  Who knows, at some point they may find that note and think they will read.  Does it matter in the big aspect of life?  No.  It doesn't.

But I enjoy writing in here and have never thought that I 'had' to.  It has been a place I can share a part of my life; better than my writing in a journal.  Although that might be what I do while I am away.  I may go back to writing in my journal for I may need to remember something that I'd like to share.  I toyed with the idea of taking my laptop with me again - afterall, I did buy a backpack with that thought in might.  I thought I'd take my laptop and put it and a couple other things in my backpack and just carry on board the plane with me, and everything else in the suitcase.  I don't know.... I think it is being gone 13 days that I feel I need to check the computer - but for what?  I have my emails on my phone.  Although I can get my work emails on this computer, I don't want to be tempted to work; I want to totally disengage from work.

We leave on our trip Wednesday morning.  I see midwest White Castles on the horizon when we arrive.  My sister, who is picking us up, started that tradition years ago.  When she picks me up at the airport, she either already has the white castles, or we stop on our way to her place.  It's tradition.  It will be 'supper' for Wednesday evening.  I finally have the itinerary finalized, I think, and have sent it out to those that wanted it.  If family wants a copy of it, they can request and I'll send it over, just so they know where we are.

Sheeba will go to the pet hotel tomorrow morning.  This is going to be an expensive stay, with us being gone so long.  But, as I told hubby, this may be our very last trip for awhile so want us to enjoy it.  We are staying a week longer than we normally do so that we can spend more quality time with family.  I even gave in and rented a car for a week of the time we are there.  For right now the trip is paid for, the car is paid for.... so it's just Sheeba and whatever we do there.  But, speaking of Sheeba..... we are giving her away to a friend of a friend who already is in love with her.  Interestingly, he came over last night to spend some time with her as he had not met her before.  At first she barked at him and ran from him - which is the first time she has done that to anyone.  By the time they left about an hour later, she had warmed up to him and he took her walking up and down the block.  He is currently dog-sitting two dogs so could not take her now, but will be ready to upon our return.  Hubby and I are both struggling with this decision to let her go.  And she will be our very last dog.  Since my diagnosis of osteopenia and the doctor giving me the 3rd degree on not falling and bumping into things that could break my bones, and hubby sometimes falling as well (although he isn't diagnosed with it, he does get hurt and can break something), I made the decision we had to do something.  It won't be easy to let her go.  The gentleman who wants her lost his german shepherd about 6 years ago and is now ready to replace her.  He has a back yard in which she can run in, and a doggie door in which she can come and go.  If she can get through it.   She has gotten pretty big and at 119 pounds, lots of muscle in her body.  Hubby is already flip-flopping, and my heart is too, on letting her go.  But, she's too young to stay cooped up and we're too old to trip over her or try to walk and be pulled to the ground.  And yes, she is trained, but she loves to play with other dogs and off she goes.  Remember her pulling me across ours and the neighbors yard a few months ago?  I was lucky nothing got broke.  I asked the gentleman to think about it while we are gone and we can get back together when we return.  It's a tough decision, but a healthy one, for Sheeba, and for us.

Speaking of my osteopenia.... I picked up the medication I am to take for it.  Fosamax.  Yes, it has a lot of side effects and I'm scared to even start it.  It is one table weekly and first thing in the morning - only with water - and one has to remain upright (sit/stand) for a minimum of 30 minutes after taking it.  Only then can I have my coffee or eat anything.  Side effects include back pain, esopageal pain, ulcers, and a lot more.  This is what gets me - after 3-5 years on this - it gave several examples of people just walking across the street and get a sharp pain in the thigh - and they go get it x-rayed and the thigh bone is broken.  No bumping into anything, just walking.  Google it - and you will see all the side effects.  I have my pills, but haven't started them yet.  After reading it all, I decided I was going to wait until we returned from vacation before I started them.  I didn't want to be in pain or have issues while on vacation.  I figure that if I didn't know I had it before, I can survive 3 more weeks without having to take the pills.  I'm really scared to take them.  I talked to my brother as he had taken them... he said it gave him Barretts Disease... and they ended up changing him to another drug.... and now he takes Prolia (I think) which is a shot every six months.  Yipes.  Is that what I have ahead of me?  I know one of the things I can do is work out with weights and I am doing that now, but I need to be more consistent and work out harder.

I had 10-12 inches of my hair cut off the other day.  It was below the bra strap and I love my hair long.. but hubby does not, so I had to wear it up all the time.  I decided to get it cut and colored for our trip, and I really like it.  It is still below the shoulders and I got bangs too - although they continuously part as they always have.  Hubby's first comment when I came in (with it down, of course) was "Well, I like the color".  Isn't that nice.  I had it highlighted.  A little later he commented that I had some cut off.  Well, yes I did.  That is all he had to say about my hair.  Sigh. Everyone else I sent photos of it to (my boss, my sister), all said they loved it.  I love my hair long and I will continue to keep it long.  Some people say I'm wrong; I should cut it short because that is what hubby wants, but I tell him I am not his first wife (who wore her hair very short) and I like it long and I will wear it long.  I wore my hair short for years because of his comments about my hair.  I have rebelled the past few years and let it grow.  Even a pastor we had told hubby that a woman's hair is her glory... but that didn't matter to him.  Enough of that.

I guess I have caught you up on my life... have already started packing with the things I had laid out so that I wouldn't forget.  I never lost the twenty pounds I was hoping to have lost.  I love food too much.  But, I had cut back... but I guess my lack of movement wouldn't let me lose, and I didn't eat enough to gain (which is a good thing).  But I am about 25 pounds heavier than I was back in 2013 on our last trip.  Oh well.  Love me for me, and not for what I look like.  Body or hair.

I probably will stop writing as of today... working today and tomorrow and then shutting the computer down for two weeks.  I sometimes think of pushing the retirement issue with hubby, but I would lose all my 'freedom' that I currently have.  Not only would he take all that I have hidden away financially, but I would not be able to go anywhere.  I wouldn't be able to plan anything for he has to control all our finances and things.  I would literally be in a prison.  At least with working I have contact with the outside world.  Oh, it probably wouldn't be as bad as I make it sound, but those that know my situation, know how it can be.  I am better off working, and I think that is why God keeps me at it.  I still have to laugh at all the job offers I get in my emails daily.  I'm serious.  When my boss mentioned she was thinking about retiring but decided to wait 3-4 years until she turned 65, I checked around to see what was in my area - and found a position or two open in the same building as my doctor's office - which is 6 miles away.  Wouldn't that be great?  But, for now, as long as my boss is going to stay, I will too.  My favorite boss. :-)

Ok - need to go and get dressed; get the work computer fired up and ready to go.  I pray that you will have a good day; and a good couple weeks while we are away.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.  May He turn His face toward you, and give you peace.

Blessings!

Happy Birthday to me!

I didn't sleep well last night and I'm not sure why.  I know during the day I was really drained and wanted to take a nap, but really didn't think I slept.  But, perhaps I did, and that is why I didn't sleep well.  Either that or hubby's tossing and turning (starting about 11:30PM) woke me and kept me awake, just being able to doze every little bit.  I finally got up at 3:15AM and tried to sleep here in my chair - and I may have, but don't think I did.

Hubby got up a little after 4AM to bring me my coffee - and he remembered to tell me Happy Birthday.  Again.  LOL  He couldn't wait - although he did ask and I told him I didn't care - he gave me my gifts yesterday from him.  The gifts are a combination of my birthday (today) and our anniversary (Saturday).  He bought way too many items, and I know he means well, but I will be returning a couple items.  He's NOT real ok with that, but did give me the receipt.  They were nice gifts, don't get me wrong, but either too small or I just don't wear them... even though they are my size... they just don't make sizes like they used to (i.e., they don't run true to size) and my bottom half will definitely not fit in those workout pants.  He bought several things, including giving me a gift certificate to get a manicure/pedicure at a place we used to go to.  I may call them today to see if they can work me in Wednesday morning, the start of my 'vacation'.

Yes, this is going to be a very short work week... if I do much work at all!  Today is my birthday and if I was in the office, I wouldn't get much done at all.  Tomorrow I am to drive to Mesa in the morning to meet up with the 'new executive' to hand off his equipment and my favorite boss is meeting me to take me to lunch!  Consider I lose an hour going and returning for driving time, an hour with the new executive, and at least an hour with my favorite boss.... I won't be working much tomorrow - and my vacation is Wednesday-Thursday-Friday.

Wednesday not much is planned... hubby has a medical test scheduled in the morning.  That night my daughter and son-in-law are taking us to a Medieval dinner ... should be lots of fun,.... and Thursday late morning we will be heading to the south to visit a granddaughter and her family.  I have the executive suite reserved for us at the hotel so that we can relax.  We'll come back Friday and figure out what to do the rest of the weekend.  Saturday night will be church of course.  I don't want to spend too much since we will be heading to the midwest in September... and I imagine that will take a lot of my savings as I don't expect hubby to put in anything.  If I plan the trip, he expects me to pay for it....

I'm actually glad that I woke up early this morning as I have been able to spend more time alone with God.  I'm really trying hard to grasp the quiet and stillness of being in His Presence.  I'm still reading through the book and want to read it a second time for I want to understand it better.  I can usually sit still and stay 'focused' a short while, but after awhile thoughts come to my mind of what I need to be doing, or that I need to get set in place.  I really want to learn to quiet my mind before God and even in the midst of a crowd, be able to quiet and still my heart and mind to be with Jesus.

I received a book yesterday from my little sister.  I think I've mentioned before how we read different types of books at times... she is all in to the end times and what is going to happen (or is happening!)  Me, not so much.  Why am I not seeking what is to happen in the end times?  Because me knowing about it isn't going to change anything!  Do I think we are now in the end times?  Absolutely!  Signs are everywhere that the world as we have known it is going away and trials and tribulations are here now and more to come.  So why am I not searching to find out what is going to happen?

Because I believe that we are to be ready - whenever that time comes - for Jesus.  I fail and sin every day.  And every day I am praying for forgiveness - for sins I am aware of, and for my omission of sins I don't even know about.  Why?  Because I want to be with Jesus.  I have read numerous articles over the years about hell and about heaven, and I choose Heaven over hell   I hope you do as well.  My position is that I need to make sure I am ready to meet Jesus whenever it happens - and I am to share Him and point others to Him so that they will choose Jesus over this world as well.    It doesn't matter when the world will end... as long as I am in Jesus' Presence.  I must continue to prepare myself (and others) for that time.  I want to be ready when my time comes to meet Jesus face to face.

What about you?  I'm sure most people aren't worried about the 'end times' nor about their soul at this point.  They laugh and say 'yeah, I'm going to hell'... and think it is nothing.  They don't understand the torment they will endure for eternity if that is where they end up.  That is why I continuously bring my children, and siblings, and those I love before God and intercede for their deliverance, for their salvation, for their protection.  Only Jesus can save them, I can't.  But I can pray for them to have their eyes opened to surrender their lives to Jesus and turn to Him for direction, and not choose their own ways.

Where are you at in all this?  Just living day by day and not even thinking about the end times or where you or your loved ones may end up?  Perhaps you need to do some thinking about it.  So you aren't worried about yourself?  Ok, fine.  What about your spouse?  Your children?  Are you leading them in the direction they should walk?  Do you need to reevaluate where your life is heading?  I pray you do.

Proverbs 3:5  (TPT)  "Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart, rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make."

Most of us know this verse by the KJV.... "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding."

Which ever version you prefer, the message is the same.  We are to trust in the Lord and don't value our opinions, but let Jesus guide us in all that we do.

Choose Jesus.  Today.

Blessings!
