Starting Over

My little sister text'd me last night that she FINALLY was going to start reading the 40 day devotional of The Circle Maker.  I'm nearly through it the second time.  She wanted me to go through it with her, and the 40 days will end May 4th.  I started this morning with day one, but need to read day two tonight so that we will be on the 'same day' starting tomorrow.  It took her long enough!  I love this devotional and both times that I have already gone through it have been revealing in many ways.

Today is weigh in.  I know, I said I wasn't going to elaborate on this every week, but this week I'm a bit anxious.  Oops!  Guess I'm not supposed to be!

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
We went to Black Angus for dinner last night with our tax man and his wife.  It is her favorite place and the last time we tried to hook up a couple weeks ago - we went to Outback and they went to Texas Roadhouse.  Last night we connected.  Knowing that weigh in was this morning made my choices difficult and yet filling.  I did have the top sirloin, but only ate 1/3 of it.  Oh yeah, I did have a slice of the molassas bread.  With butter on it.  I had a garden salad with vinergarette, and instead of the loaded baked potato that I love, I had steamed broccolli.  Oh, and because we had a coupon, we also got the sampler platter which had shrimp (I ate 2 of the 3) cocktail, fried zucchini (I ate two slices), fried chicken (I ate none), celery and ranch dressing.  I think that is all.  Overall, I don't think I did really bad, but it is more we ate late (around 7PM).  I did get on the treadmill after we got home and burned nearly 200 calories so hope that helps.
Breakfast will wait until after weigh in - which is now in about 20 minutes.  I'm drinking my green tea and water - but not a lot.  Even water weighs!  Oh well, it is what it is.  Next week I'll be back on top of it.  Oh yeah.  Yesterday the email was sent out on the results of last week.  Although I only lost .2 last week and did not make the top 3, I am still overall (at least until today's weigh in) number 3 in the overall weight loss.  I'll still take that.  But I want to be #1 so I am needing to kick it into high gear.
My middle child is at jury duty today - something he was not looking forward to.  He can be so funny sometimes.  I'm already thinking of the funny stories he will have to tell in his blog about the people around him, and perhaps if he gets called to be interviewed for the case.  He has such a talent for creating stories - true or otherwise.
Well, a friend came by to chat, and I had to go weigh in - (didn't lose any - but didn't gain either!  I stayed the same as last week.) and now it is time to get to work.

And a chance to 'start over' and do well for next week.
Hope that you have a great day!
Blessings!

"True or otherwise"? Hmmmm, I feel something embarrassingly funny about the RM in the works....(insert evil laugh here)
