Drawing a blank...

It took me nearly an hour to get to work this morning.  First, I had a 25 minute drive from Peoria to Camelback Rd, where I saw a bad accident just past Camelback, then traffic started to break apart.  Got on I-10 and thought that I was making good time - only to see a message that 16th street was closed - no biggie, I don't go that way.  I was trying to decide what to do when I finally was able to get through all that and got to work just before 7AM (I left my house at 6:10AM for a 21 mile drive).   Then my hubby texts me that at I-10 and I-17 there was a fatal accident - which will close the road again.  Thank God I was long past that area and almost to work when he sent that text.

Intending to get on my blog after I cooked my breakfast - which I brought with me to fix (egg, toast and bacon all made into a sandwich) - only when I came in two of my coworkers were already here working.  Two others have already arrived.  No one is working - they are all sitting around chatting.  Makes me wonder who will put in for overtime this morning.  I'm always leary when we are 'allowed' overtime and I know they aren't working but talking instead.  None of my business though.  That's between them and God.  It's just hard to focus on my blog with all the chatter about me - and then I feel rude if they try to include me and I don't respond.

I was trying to think what to write about this morning and I think I had something before I got distracted by the traffic.  When traffic backs up and gets crazy with people getting in a hurry and changing lanes I keep my eyes on what is going on, trying to be proactive with the traffic rather than having to slam on my brakes.

I had an opportunity to 'smile' on the way home last night.  I meant to post it on facebook, but never got around to it.  Anyway - I'm driving down the road and the traffic is bunched up a bit - not too bad - when all of a sudden a single occupant zips out of the lane and into the HOV lane.  They speed off.... and an unmarked car flips its lights on and follows along behind it.  Yeah, it made me smile.   How many times do we ask 'where is a cop when one is needed' for someone doing something stupid?

My mind seems to be asleep this morning; I can't think of any topic I can cover in about ten minutes, for that is about all the time I have left.  Maybe I can think of something good for tomorrow.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you and give you peace.

Blessings!
