Thursday readiness...

Ready for what I'm not sure... but here I am.  Actually, I DO have an 8:30AM training this morning, but I'm definitely not ready for that yet - I'm still in my jammies!  And it is a bit off yet.  I have to get the work computer going shortly and get started on it.

Yesterday's breakfast with Sue was awesome.  I love meeting up with her and will miss it when she retires.  I've thought more about retirement and decided I like to buy things and give away; I love to tithe to God, and I love to help out in areas that are needed.  And you don't need to know all that I do!  Hubby doesn't either.  I love being able to help some one.  So many years, so very many years, we lived from check to check and was always in the hole.  Some of you know why, some of you don't - and I'll leave that alone.  It's in the past and I am going to leave it there. It is too painful to bring back up.  If I was only as wise then as I am now..... isn't that something we all say at some time or another?

I took all the envelopes I had addressed and stuffed with me to meet with Sue - and bless her heart!! She offered to take them all to Mesa to the mail room and get them sent out. Hallelujah!  So after we ate and talked for quite a bit, we went out to load up her car.  She had her little BMW sportscar and was putting the boxes in the back seat as I handed off to her - when a young man comes running out of Wildflower and insisted on helping!  He saw us loading boxes and didn't know how heavy they were (they were not heavy) but he moved the remaining 5 boxes I had and then got in his truck and drove off.  What a blessing he was!  And just so you know, this 'little old lady' was quite capable of handing them off to Sue!  LOL She is, after all, only 10 years younger than I.

Sue always makes me feel inspired.  She says that for years she has taken her health call from me.  She sees how active (I try) I am and the things that I do - and that it shows her what she can do at my age. Yes, I take that as a compliment.  But she encourages me to keep pushing myself.  She is actually more active than I as they live at the base of a mountain and she and her hubby climb it almost every morning - and she plans to get involved in classes at the gym once she retires.  THEY don't sit and watch TV every evening.... THEY BOTH keep active - her hubby fixes everything, and what he can't, he will have someone else do it.

And in all fairness, hubby did not even ask me 'what do we do tonight? Watch a movie or read?'  He left the TV off (thank You, Jesus!) and he played with his phone and I think may have read some.  I finished a small book I was reading (I'm two ahead of schedule now on Goodreads).  I love the quiet of the evening. I love the quiet of the day, actually.  Oh - update on the quail eggs - five of them are still there.  I think they must not have been 'fertilized' since they haven't hatched.  I'm leaving them alone at least for now.

I've been drinking some hydrogen water (recommended by Morgan, our trainer) once or twice a day - bought a case from Amazon (of course) and a couple cases from Morgan's parents, who sell it as a side business.  From them I get a better deal than I do from Amazon.  I feel like it gives me a bit more energy, although it is not an energy drink.  It's just water - with hydrogen in it.  Anyway, I told my little sister about it, of course, and of course, she had to buy a case. Her husband about came unglued that she BOUGHT water! LOL  We briefly talked about getting a good hydrogen water bottle generator as one can make it at home with that.  Cheaper over all, one thinks, right?  So I'm sitting on the couch last night and hubby sees Amazon drop off a box.  I had nothing on order. But as I looked at the box, I knew what had happened.  My sister had ordered me one, and herself as well.  Now mind you, she lives from SS check to SS check and she still spends money like it grows on trees.  I opened the box and sure enough, that is what it was.  I looked at it and something didn't look right.  I went on Amazon and couldn't find it listed. I finally emailed my sister and asked her where she ordered it.  I didn't want it (it also had a nasal thing - now what does that have to do with hydrogen water to drink? Blow it up the nose? Anyway - she sent me a photo of what she ordered - and it certainly wasn't that!  I told her they sent a cheap knockoff of what she ordered and I wanted to return it. She needs to tell Amazon she is returning it and send me the paperwork to do so.  I also suggested she return the one she got (she received what she ordered - she thinks) - and she and I can research it next week when she is home (she's out of state visiting relatives now) and decided what would work for us.  Yes, I think it would be helpful to have a container that generates hydrogen water, but I don't want to jump into it - you also have to buy distilled or purified water to pour into it - no tap water.  So there is that expense.  She agreed so will send both back. That's what she gets for not checking with me first. I hadn't even decided if I wanted one of not.  But, with hubby drinking the water as well..... it can get expensive.  But it is to help with endurance, focus (desperately needed!), metabolism, recovery (from hard workouts) and sleep.  I feel it gives me more pep; I won't say energy per say, but I feel like doing things.  And of course if I'm doing it, my sister thinks she needs to do it as well.

Oh, I have to tell you this.  You know my hubby's love of food.  He told me the other day that while I was at lunch with my son, he decided to go to Arby's and get himself something to eat. (now mind you, he insists I sit with him at the table most days because he doesn't like to eat alone)  No biggie. Go to Arby's and eat. Alone. Well, yesterday morning, because I met my boss for breakfast, he tells me that he decided he didn't want cereal for breakfast, so he went to Bobbi's Cafe down the street for breakfast and had a Denver omelet breakfast.  Alone.  Now mind you, I have at least six dozen eggs in the refrigerator..... and peppers, and other things he could put in an omelet.  I honestly think he has forgotten how to cook basic things..... I haven't seen him cook anything in months.  If I'm not cooking.... although last night I told him that we had TV dinners so we both got a lean cuisine and had it for dinner.... he would have insisted we go out to eat or sit and pout that he would have to have a peanut butter sandwich for dinner - although there are things in the refrigerator he can eat!  He will spend all the money on food or die of starvation if I die first, I think! LOL  Tonight he is meeting his friend Steve, and tomorrow morning he has breakfast with 'the guys' of his bible study group.  Do I run out and buy myself a meal? Nope. I will fix that peanut butter sandwich, or make/cook something - if I desire it!  Why spend the money?!  I can skip a meal and not starve to death in one day!

Well, I guess I've rambled on enough and need to get the work computer turned on and go get dressed. I can't think when the lawnmower is going on outside (landscapers come Thursday mornings).  They are here and gone within 30 minutes as a rule. Why? Cause they don't do anything. They may 'race' the lawnmower across all the yards, but nothing is there to cut - it's just starting to grow again.  They haven't touched the hedges in a couple months (we had our landscaper cut ours last month).  I don't have many kind words to say about their work, let's put it that way.

So with that - I'm off here and on to get ready for my training and work today.  This three day week is l-o-n-g.... although I did only work half day yesterday with meeting Sue. :-)  Even stopped and got my car washed on the way home as I went by it and only a couple cars were in line. I was in and out in 20 minutes - totally unusual!  But I have a clean car!

Have an absolutely amazing day!  Do something kind for someone.

Blessings!

That water you mentioned, and gave me one Tuesday... it was ... different. There was a 'taste' to it that was a bit different. I didn't notice any thing else after drinking it, except not as thirsty. I am like Uncle Edward ... why buy water? You already pay for your tap water! But I do admit, I buy bottled water (a case of the bottled that I keep in the car) just for emergencies, or if I do a Ride, I'll put them in a cooler so when we break, the Riders have a cold water at least.

I ordered a hydrogen bottle - will make my own. PT says it is helping him sleep at night (he drinks one at night). I haven't tried that yet. I like feeling like I want to do something... and not just sit.
