I admit, I was frustrated somewhat....

I was given an assignment yesterday to send a couple documents to board members for them to approve and sign.  Long story short, the president's executive assistant was to send them out, but she was unexpectedly put in the hospital and is taking medical leave.  So, I offered to help wherever they needed help.  They sent me the documents, the board members names and emails, and asked me to send to them for their approval and signature.  It took awhile for I went slow, making sure I didn't forget the documents, typed in their email correctly, etc.  Right after I finished, the CMO sent an email back to me - "can't these be sent via docusign?"  Well, I don't have docusign, and do not know how to use it.  What I didn't notice was that she also sent that note to the president, and he sent it on to legal.  Yeah, you can figure out what happened.  I get an email from legal and they say they will have their executive assistant send them out (again) to the board members via docusign.  Now I realize that docusign may be easier, but all they had to do was ask me if I had it and I could have told them I do not - and they could have had their EA just do it.  Instead, I get no 'thanks for trying to get these done'... but just that they are taking it over.  After I have already sent to all the board members, and have received 3-4 of them back already.  They don't want what I have received.  And now I'm getting emails from the board members that they have signed via docusign.  I didn't need to be included in any of this!  So I was feeling somewhat frustrated yesterday afternoon.  I wanted to blurt out my frustration to someone... and I did to a peer, but I also retracted my email. I don't think she was able to open it for she never responded with a comment.  But if she did get to read it before I recalled it - doesn't matter.  I didn't even tell Sue, although she would have understood my frustration.  I'm ok about it and am thinking about asking IT to download DocuSign on to my computer and learning how to use it.  But in 9 years I've been there, I've never had to sue it - and will probably never be asked to use it again... but if I do continue working as I am weighing.... I may need to do it at some point.  I have no desire to 'move up the ladder' - which I could easily enough - but at my age and at my lack of desire to keep working another 20 years.... I see no need.  Money is not everything, and I do make a good salary right where I am.  So that was my frustration.

I went to my favorite eye doctor yesterday and had specific tests completed and eyes dilated.  I tell you what, this office is very efficient and the people are so nice.  I know different tests measure different things, but I do find it interesting that the tests done yesterday versus the tests completed in another vision office last February - have a slight discrepancy in results.  Which do I trust?  My specialist, of course.  I have known him for over 20 years, he did my cataract surgery.  So yeah, I trust him with my eyes.  He told me my pressure was perfect; he said he was happy to say my eyes are in excellent condition, and he recommended Sustane Complete for my burning eyes from starring at the computer all day.  Put drops in 4xday and after two weeks start tapering it off.  If they still burn a lot, call him and he will call me in a prescription.  But he thinks Sustane Complete (OTC) will be all I need.  I will try to pick it up today sometime.  The other vision doctor told me to just use Refresh; which is good, but Dr. Z says he thinks Sustane Complete will help more. :-)  Who do I go with?  Dr. Z of course!   Don't need to see him for another year.  AND they do sell glasses there as well.... and had a special going .... and yes, I did order another pair of glasses.  Didn't really NEED them, but since I try to keep the latest glasses at the work computer, and then have to run around and find a pair to use for reading, etc.... I just decided I can keep one pair at the computer and one pair where I read.  I could have gotten sunglasses, and thought about it, but it was more than I wanted to pay.  Since the prescription will be slightly different, it may help when I struggle even with these latest glasses.

I have a 9AM training with Morgan this morning.  I've started letting her give me times during the work hours and just take it as my lunch.... but I have also told her that if I get something in that is urgent, I will have to cancel.  It will mean I lose a time, but if she schedules during work hours, it is a chance we both take.  At this point I don't think it matters too much.  Sue doesn't mind because she knows I'll get my work done before I go home anyway.

But I do have things I need to do today.  Still need to do the minutes from the last board meeting and get the deck set up for the next one.  Need to double-check the deck for the June 7 board meeting - another board.  Always something. I'd love to 'dump' the board meetings and give to someone else, but I'm stuck for now.  It's not that they are 'hard'.... I just don't enjoy doing them. But then, does anyone?

Ok, I just erased a large paragraph cause I don't need to say it.  I need to just pray and leave the results up to God.  I can pray for healing for people, but when the thought occurs to me that they don't want to be healed because they keep doing what they have always done, it is frustrating to me.  But, it isn't my call.  I am to pray, and leave it up to God what to answer to.  Sometimes that is hard, cause we love those that we pray for, right?   When my doctor tells me 'no'.... I may keep doing it for a bit, but I soon quit (sooner rather than later at times) because I have been told I shouldn't do that.  Does that make sense?  When I thought about this yesterday, the thought that the couple did not want to really be healed cause they won't change their lifestyle.... made me pause and think of wasted prayers.  But then, prayers are never wasted for God works through all of them in His way.  No matter how or what I pray, God works through them in His time and in His way.  My job is to pray... not to judge.

Ok - I'm off here - work is calling - already!  Have an amazing day!

Blessings!
