I don't know what I have done to the outline of this blog....

But I have totally messed it up.

I cannot enlarge the typing area.  I can barely see it.  I am going to have to work on this - possibly this afternoon.

I was spreading it out and wanting to enlarge the print yesterday - and did - but somehow today I'm struggling to get it back to normal.   I've finally gotten it large enough to see, and type, but the headings are gone.  UGH. Teach me to mess with things I don't know anything about.

So - I will apologize up front on this mess - I have no idea of what you can see - well, I will, once I save it, if I can find that publish button.

I don't have much time today as it is Sunday.  And, although when I got up, I got up with the 'not wanting to go to church (what's up with that?) - I'm not going to let the devil win and I am going to church.  Need to feed the cats and water the plants at my daughter's yet today - they will be returning today.  I've really missed them not being here - not that we needed anything done - but just knowing they weren't close by - and we only talked maybe twice the entire two weeks.

But I do have a couple projects for my SIL when they return, although there is absolutely no rush.  I'm thinking Tuesday night or Friday morning (when hubby is gone so there isn't supervision).  I bought a Ninja grill and it arrived Friday.  It needs to be put together. I could probably do it - but when I put things together myself, hubby feels 'stupid' he says, so it's like I don't want him trying to do it, and well, it's just easier to let someone else do it.  I keep getting asked 'where are we going to put it?' and I give him basically the same information - on the back 'porch' - and if we aren't using it or are gone for awhile, we can bring it in and set inside the door (it's electric so I can just unplug it from the grill).  Anyway - I don't know what I'm doing... I just love food cooked out on a grill and in most cases, it is healthier than frying in grease.   But the grease does make it taste so good, right?  The grill is an air fryer, a grill, and a smoker - so I'm hoping to learn how to use it all.

I went to Sam's Club yesterday, thinking I'd pick up some meat - and I did, but only three packs (bbribs, hamburger, chicken thighs) - and still spent $300+ picking up 'other things'.  All I can say is that I was unsupervised. LOL  But then, I can guarantee you, if I had 'supervision', I would have spent a lot more - he always remembers what he wants.... and I'll  leave that there.  I did pick up coffee and it was good to have a decent cup of coffee this morning.

I saw a video yesterday as I was scrolling through some reels and Charlie Kirk talked about 'taking a Sabbath day'.  What do we mean by that?  Taking a day when you 'rest'.  No TV, no phone scrolling, no shopping or running around.  Just be with family and rest and read and enjoy the rest.

Back in biblical times, before Jesus, there was a Sabbath rest.  God created the earth in six days, and on the seventh day, He rested.  He wanted us to do the same.  After Jesus came, and His death, that kind of changed.  But as I understand from the video, the requirement for a 'day of rest' really hasn't changed.  We still need to have that day of rest.

Most jobs will give us the weekend off.  Why not take one of those days to put aside the phone (except for calls from family and close friends or emergencies), leave the TV off, and play games, or read, or do something you enjoy with those you love?  Or if you are alone, just rest.  Take naps.  I love my little 10-30 minute naps I can get in.  Something to think about.  I thought about doing it today - and I can easily leave my phone alone (no FB, LI, or scrolling!) and I can easily leave the TV off (unfortunately, football has started and I don't think hubby can).... but I can withdraw within myself and rest.  And so can you.

I won't do it today, but maybe next weekend I can leave everything alone and read and rest.

In the meantime, I need to jump off, get in the shower, and start getting ready for church.

I apologize up front if this is all messed up  - maybe I can figure it out later.

Blessings!
