It has been a nice quiet week. Sleeping. Sitting. Crocheting. Reading. Goodwill. Thrift Store, Denny's, El Rodeo. Yep, that has been our week. Oh yeah - we actually got to see rain yesterday! You know, that clear stuff that is wet and falls from the sky on a rare occasion out here. Then again, on the east side, they are definitely getting their share .... on the east side of the USA that is.
Awake again at 4AM, I waited until hubby finally woke up and got up at 5:45AM this morning. By the time he came out of the bathroom I had the light on and was ready to start on my Bible reading. He is taking a shower now so decided I'd write in here real quick (since I really have nothing to share) while he is doing that. You know, no questions.
It has been a nice time away. I have enjoyed the cool weather and getting to sit outside (alone most of the time, crocheting or reading). It has been nice. Please don't take all my comments as negative. I could not live like this. I mean, it's nice, but I want/need to 'have a life'. Yeah, I will work until I die cause I can't just sit around reading and crocheting, although that is a good pasttime. I would like to have gone for walks but after the comment of "It's not that I don't want to; I am unable to." it wasn't worth bringing up again. And I'll leave that there.
I'm already planning in my mind on getting some exercise once home. Even if it is nothing but jumping on my rebounder! I got to get some movement in this body for it is getting flabby(er). To be able to walk long distances, I need to keep my core and my legs strong. In fact, I have a 5K coming up in October with my company. 5K equals out to 3.1 miles and I told them that I would do it virtually since I don't want to drive downtown to meet up with everyone. It's a Fit and Fun Run - and I walk it. IF it is cool, I'll walk it outside in the neighborhood. If still hot, I'll use the treadmill. But I will do it.
I am so ready to head home today. It won't take long to pack up since we didn't bring much, even for four days. I will get to listen to hubby whine all the way back about the heat, I'm sure. But we are going to stop at White Castles on the way back. We go right by it. Sorta. Close enough. I can get a case to bring home and when I bag them about six to a baggie, when I want, I can take out, thaw out, and wrap in a wet papertowel and put in microwave for about a minute and it is like it was just bought. Yeah, I've figured that out.
Need to get on my reading as hubby is out of the shower and I want to get this done. It's short and 'sweet' today. Pray for safety coming down the mountain.
Blessings!
