I screwed up big time - I neglected to write down the WHAT for WHOM. And in my mind I am finished except for a couple people. I mean, done. And overdone. And I still have orders being delivered. And I'm already having an argument with Macy's. Yesterday I contacted them because Eric from UPS reported to Macy's that he delivered a package here yesterday at 1:29PM and it was placed on the 'DOCK'. Well, we don't have a DOCK, and it is no where to be found in this courtyard. I'm wondering if he meant the dock of a UPS in this little city. I contacted Macy's, explained the situation. Given a choice of a refund or reship, I chose refund. Unfortunately for me, I've already paid for the order, but a credit isn't bad. Then Macy's tells me I have to wait until they get the actual delivery receipt. I'm telling them that I am on their website and I am looking at the delivery receipt. UGH. If I do not get my credit for this order, I will cut up my Macy's card and be done with them.
And what is really weird.... I have to have done it with unreasonable thinking..... I'm receiving orders of things I looked at, but I'm pretty sure I told myself it isn't needed and did not order. Seriously. I've received a couple items, shrugged it off as it wasn't costly, and either kept it or wrapped it up for someone. In checking what other outstanding orders I have out there (only a couple, thank goodness) and there are two items being delivered today that I don't remember putting in the buy box that I had looked at. Don't 'need' either one... I had just looked at them and thought about it. But I had to have put in the buy box, although I don't know why I did. I tell you, I'm losing it! I'm so glad that I have quit buying things online! And I don't need to go shopping either.
Except today I am meeting my boss at 7:30AM in Mesa to go to the Christmas Idea House - and that is where I buy crafts already made. We have brunch (catered there) and then stroll through the entire house (this one is so big they have their own private airplane on premises!) and then we go pick up our cars (we shuttle to and from the location) and separate and head home. I'll probably be home by early afternoon. That is the plan anyway.
Then, I need to get salsa made for a grandson as my youngest son will be heading up north tomorrow, I think. I have the bag ready to go up there. And I need to relook at things I have purchased for everyone else. I either need to return things or put them back for next year. Most I have already paid for and returning to an already busy store I'm not inclined to do. Flat out - I overbought on things. I just did. I think exhaustion just set in and while my mind might have been on one grandchild, I'd order a 'few' of the same thing to give to the others - not thinking I had already done the same thing for another grandchild. I need to relook at everything this weekend and see what I have done. And I still need to get for two women and I'm clueless! My mind is fried and I.am.done.
The BPN Christmas Potluck was nice yesterday. Only about 100 came and it was so good to see those I haven't seen in a year or more. Got lots and gave lots of hugs. Got homemade biscotti and a keyring with 'Sisters in Christ' from Cece, and a card that she wrote in "Thank you for leading me to the Lord." That was nice to receive. Got another small gift from Silvia and my Christmas ornament she always gives me. It was a long trip to and from Mesa yesterday, and I get to do it again today. And in another week, twice more. Oh joy.
Luke 5:4 (NKJ)V: When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
Picture this - Jesus is sitting in the boat preaching and teaching, and then looks over at Simon, who is busy cleaning his fishing nets from an unprofitable night of fishing, and tells him to go out into the deep to let down their nets for a catch. Simon at first argued, after all, he had been fishing all night in the deep and caught nothing, and fishermen know that during the day, they can't fish there to catch anything. But there was something about the way Jesus looked at Simon when He gave instructions, and Simon obeyed. He took the boat out into the deep and the fish literally jumped into the nets and as they pulled the nets to put in the boat, the nets were too heavy for them to lift and Simon had to call for James and John in another boat to come out to help them! And going further in scripture, if you are reading along with me, Simon falls to his knees and acknowledges Jesus is Lord.
How many times do we argue with Jesus when we know He wants us to do a certain thing? I know I have argued, until at least I realize it is Him telling me to do it and not my mind telling me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has arguments with oneself. I even argue with Siri! She will tell me to go one way and I stick my tongue out at her and say no, I'm going this way! But only when I know where I am and where I'm going! I'm lost otherwise!
And - since I need to leave in about 40 minutes, I need to get off here and get dressed and ready to head out the door about 6:30AM to meet up with my boss. I went to bed just before 8:30PM last night as I couldn't keep my eyes open. I awoke a bit after 10PM and tossed and turned until after 12PM - before finally falling back to sleep. Did not wake up until 5AM and here I am, rushing to read my Bible and then get a short note in here before rushing to get dressed. Well, that time is here and I'm rushing now.
Hope you are having a good day - maybe I will have some good stories to tell you tomorrow....or not.
Blessings!
