Getting better....I think

I don't know what is going on with this respiratory thing, but I think it has outstayed its welcome here.  I thought I was better last night - but it seems evening (or when I actually start talking) throws the coughing in.  Went to bed around 9PM, after hubby got home.  Noticed he has started coughing.  I slept in here, one more night, I said.  And the coughing started and lasted until I finally got up around midnight and went to the recliner, where I finally stopped coughing and was able to rest until about 4AM.  Still, 2-3 hours of good sleep feels good. Hubby got up and got on his way to his bible study, but said he wasn't going to visit Chuck today, which means he will be home around 9:30AM.  I had him take some alka selzer plus before he left, hoping that will check his coughing, which isn't bad (yet), but has started.

I've taken all my meds for morning and nothing more until evening when I take the 2nd antibiotic and nasal - then I'm done with the nasal spray; doc said only take for 5-6 days. I don't know that I need it; it is to relieve the pressure in the sinus area.  I had a piece of toast with peanut butter and honey on it. And a cup of coffee.  I think I'm about ready to face the day.  Maybe.  I've also stripped this bed; the mattress cover is now in the dryer and the sheets are in the washer. And yes, I remembered to spray the oil spots.

Interesting, an email from my company just popped up (yes, I'm on the work computer) and it says that April is Donate Life month, sharing about transplants.  How ironic is that?  My daughter has had a bone marrow transplant back in 2001, and now, my soon my son will be on the list for a liver transplant. Believing all things work for good for those who love the Lord. And I do love Him.

Btw, today is 'Good Friday'.  Take some time to pause and think about what that really means. For some, it's a 'holiday' and they get off work.  But that is not so much anymore.  When I lived in Indiana, either the office closed at noon on Good Friday, or we were allowed to leave, for many at that time would go (Catholics mainly) to church and be there to think about what Christ has done for each one of us.  Yes, we could still take it off if we want, but people rarely recognize Good Friday for what it means - much like they miss the significance of Maundy Thursday, which was yesterday.  But the best day is coming soon!  SUNDAY!  Jesus is ALIVE!  And He lives in each one of us who love Him and know Him and have accepted and believed in Him. Hallelujah!

I have the candy ready for my son if he gets a chance to stop over before they head south for the weekend. I hope they have a wonderful weekend celebrating their 35th anniversary!  The plus is getting to see their beautiful granddaughters and daughter (oh, and the SIL).... I'm jealous.  They will pick up my girl scout cookies too, and so next week I will have to decide to freeze or inhale them. I ordered soooo  many boxes.  LOL  When I told my son how much I spent (I don't know how many boxes I ordered), he was so surprised - but I just told him 'she's my great granddaughter - of course I'd buy a lot from her (as long as I can)'!  I also contribute to her school fund-raisers, just because I can.  I love that my granddaughter tries to keep me updated on the girls with photos and activities. Brings my heart much joy.  The thought arises within me..... if I retired, I could go down and visit.... but then too, sigh... I'd stay at a hotel to not be an inconvenience to their schedule and I'd need money to pay for it. Guess I need to figure something out, huh! LOL

Reminds me, I still need to call Big O and schedule an appointment to get 4 new tires before Jailbreak, as we will take my car.  Why Big O? Because when I (or hubby) go to get air put in our tires, they come out to do it without hesitating, are always joyful, are always polite.  They never yell at someone else to do it; whoever is there, walks out immediately and checks the door for the pressure amount and then proceeds.  My tires?  I believe they are the original tires as it is a 2017 and I bought it in 2019 or 2020.... and I now have 55K+ miles on it - and from what others have told me, they are the original tires.  Plus I need an alignment so might as well have it all done, right?  $$$ yeah, I know, but I don't plan to get another car; this one is it.  And the tires ARE old....

Well, time is getting away from me and I still need to figure out my grocery list and call Big O so will jump off here.  Hope that you have an amazing day.

Blessings!

(maybe I can get back on track thought-wise next week)

Finally!

Well, it has taken me all day to get this far!  You'd think with Brett leaving and giving me no meetings these past two weeks, I would have this done right away.  Well, I was awake all night coughing every ten minutes, I think!  Couldn't stop coughing, no matter which way I laid.  Even got in my chair and tried to sleep. That didn't help either.

But with that being said, I think I am finally starting to feel better, the draining is drying up.  Yes, I am hacking more (not coughing, hacking), trying to get stuff up but it is drying up so isn't coming up.  But I am getting better!  Although right now I'm feeling pretty tired - I didn't get a nap in today!  Why?  Today was Brett's going away party in Mesa (that I was able to get out of). and I did get online to listen to what everyone had to say.  A lot of positive things - and Brett is a good man, and is very intelligent.  It's just in my opinion, he seems to be a title seeker versus  - well, I don't know what.  His complaint was three times he was offered a different title and more people.... and he didn't get it.  So he's leaving.  To go from 'Chief' - which is senior leadership, to 'President' and he has no clue (in my opinion) as to what he is getting in to. BUT - not my monkey, not my circus!

Now to pray that whomever takes his place is someone I can enjoy working with. It's going to be bad enough to lose Sue at the end of July.  I'm still flipping on my thoughts. Interesting, no one asked me if I was leaving because Brett was; I guess I've been pretty vocal on how he drives me crazy.  In fact, when I called in today at the party, I told him he was my thorn in the side for meetings, but I appreciate the things he taught me and wished him the best.  See, I can be nice.  But I imagine, with everyone knowing how close Sue and I are, I will get asked the question about retirement. And right now, I'm not sure what I am going to do.

It's like going to the store with no money, and you see everything you need, and want.  But when you get the money and go back to that same store, you can find nothing that interests you.  Right?  I finally got 'permission' from hubby to make the decision, and I can't make it. As long as he fought me on it, I'd fight with him about it being my decision, not his.  Now that it's my decision; I can't make up my mind.  I think I forgot the bills I get stuck with....  his and my cremation bill for one.  Got another 2-3 years on that one.  And, I'd have to 'lose' the gym training.  We could still go to the gym for I'd be joining 'silver sneakers' like hubby has - no cost.  But.... no training.  I need that strength training.  I may be working until I die, whether I want to or not.

Hubby offered to go pick up lunch today - so I ordered from Zupa's.  Their ham and provolone sandwich on ancient grain bun was so good. The bread was so soft!  And you always get a chocolate dipped strawberry.  Yum. Which reminds me, I still haven't found out about my oven and stove.  I got baking to do!!

I still have bags of candy.... wonder if my oldest son is still wanting them for his trip this weekend.... tonight hubby is gone to meet his friend.... and tomorrow morning is his bible study and possible visit with Chuck. He doesn't go every week so I won't know until tomorrow.  Just saying.  I did take a few bags to the doctor's office the other day. The girls love me. :-)

Hubby finished up my laundry today, I see.  Always nice to have clean clothes.  I'll strip this bed tomorrow (and spray the castor oil drippings) and wash while he is gone cause I just don't want to deal with his questions. I don't think he knows what I'm doing. But with that being said... here I am spilling my guts out in 'public'. LOL  My son mentioned something about deworm or something like that earlier today.... that is what I heard this castor oil does when it is put on the abdomen on a pad  and left there for a few hours. That's the purpose of all this castor oil stuff. Read up on Tavio - that's one of the brands.  It's interesting.

Well, my work day is nearly over so I'm going to close on here as well.  Need to start closing off my calendars and go sit my butt on the couch for the evening. Or maybe I'll work on my diamond art since I am feeling a little better.  But rest and a movie may be better too, right? LOL  I have no idea what I'm going to do - have to wait til hubby is gone to decide what I want to do. :-)  Besides absolutely nothing.

Have an awesome evening - maybe I will get back on track by the first of next week.

Blessings!

I am better....I am better....

At least I think I am GETTING better!  These past 5 days have been tough to get through!  When I complain about being 'sick', you know that something is wrong!  At least I don't think I complain much when I don't feel well.  Anyway - I think all the medication is kicking in and is finally doing what it is supposed to - or that my body is reacting the way it is supposed to.  I think even the Tums is starting to work on my coughing so much.  Will definitely keep those around for anytime I have coughing issues.  I only take one and then wait to see how it works. No coughing, don't need anymore.  I did take one before bed, but I decided also to take Robitussin DM to keep the coughing away - and upchucked both after I went to bed and started coughing. Won't do that again. Within the hour I was back in this room, trying to quit coughing and sleep.  I took another Tums a little later....and finally dozed off and slept about 4 hours without coughing!  Grateful for the sleep.

My youngest son called a little bit ago - seems he is having the same issues - coughing, etc.  Told me what he is taking - similar to mine, different brands - suggested Tums to slow the coughing, and to take Allegra - for with the air quality so bad - it's got to be allergies - although I usually do not have allergies.  Maybe mine is/was a cold that was affected by allergies - although I hadn't been outside much?  I don't know, but am grateful I am starting to feel better and that the medications are working.

I was able to finish a book I had started awhile back. Hubby watched the Suns play and asked if I wanted the TV off and I said yes (I do like quiet) - so when he turned it off, I grabbed my book.  Glad to finish one. I think I have 13 out of 50 for the year done now, although I haven't been able to read much lately.

I need to pull together a grocery list for what I need to make my spaghetti sauce for Sunday. We are going to my youngest son's house for Easter and spaghetti is on the menu.  Right now that is sounding pretty good!  I think he may pick up salad and will make garlic bread to go with it.  Just enough, for sure. I used to make my spaghetti sauce in my big iron skillet that I gave to my oldest son.... miss that skillet when I make it - but I have enough other skillets (now I have to use two skillets) to cover. Just realized...... I will have to use my electric skillets to cook in.  Then I can transfer to a crock pot.  I still don't have a stove nor an oven.  We use the toaster oven.  I heard hubby call a little bit ago to check - but he hasn't relayed to me yet what the delay is... which is probably why he is keeping quiet.  He will tell me eventually.  I heard him call, and I heard an answer, but couldn't make it out.  Which means they don't have an answer.  I am missing my stove and oven more and more.

Today is April 1 - April Fool's Day.  I can remember playing jokes when I was in the office. Now, it's like it's a bummer to even try to think of something.

Our quail is still nesting - day 5 or 6; I can't even remember now.  She got scared off the nest yesterday morning and I counted 12 eggs still so that may be it.  It's supposed to be 18-21 days, I think I was told. Can't water my plant; good thing it is a drought plant - but I also have several breaks from it (remember when she was breaking the stems?) put in water to re-root.  I do need to go out and water the few other plants.  Not that I have a lot of plants out there.  My hummingbird feeders are up and I saw one the other day at it.  I'll need to take down this weekend and put fresh sugar/water mixture in it.  Which is 'fun' - I heat the water in my hot water pot - then pour into the measuring cup, then add the sugar and stir, then pour into the container.  I don't buy the hummingbird stuff at the store. It may be ok, but I heard it wasn't - and just make my own.  1/4 cup sugar to each cup of water.

I received a phone call from Dr. Mark's office this morning. He had gotten my lab results back on my thyroid.  He was right - my former doctor had moved my medication to a higher level and it is too much for me.  I'm sure he is lowering it. I saw the results yesterday as well.  I was asked if I wanted the letter mailed to me or just wait until I go back next Wednesday with hubby (his appointment) - and I said that was fine - hold it until next Wednesday.  He will probably give me a new prescription next Wednesday, which I don't need, which I explained yesterday.

And with that - I don't have anything to share so will close this off - at least I gave you something to read for a little bit.  Hope you don't get caught up in allergies!

Blessings!

I should feel better soon - right?

Dr. Mark's office called me after I wrote in here yesterday - and they had a 1PM cancellation - did I want it or schedule another day?  DUH - I took it!  Yes, I actually drove, coughing off/on all the way.  Long story short - some bronchitis that could turn into pneumonia (I think that is what he said). He listened a lot to my lungs, heard wheezing and crackling, but not a large amount.  I had a slight temp 99.6 (I usually run 97.6). Lots of coughing, of course.  He gave me some medication in a nebulizer in his office that I had to inhale for about 5 minutes (until the medication was gone).  I love that Dr. Mark is so thorough.  I told him that I had a lot of fatigue, weakness, constant coughing, little sleep....  all in all, I got prescriptions for Amoxicillin-Clav 875-125MG tablets, twice a day, plus BREO inhaler (that $126 copay about knocked me for a loop! Was not expecting that!)  Was told to pick up Afrin nasal spray, and Allegro OTC.  I picked everything up last night. He said to drink cool fluids and take dark honey.  That surprised me.  But - honey does have healing properties - the Bible says so.  So yes, I will take dark honey. And I actually have some. So with taking all that stuff last night - I actually feel like I slept some last night - I still woke up coughing throughout the night, but felt like I slept in between.  Grateful to feel somewhat rested when I woke up.

I've taken my medication this morning except for the Breo - it says once a day and I'm thinking mid-day will hopefully get me through the evening. I will be taking it when I finish here.  If I stop coughing long enough I may just stop and do it.  I'm trying hard to follow 'doctor's orders' cause feeling like this is the pits!  My big brother just text'd me to also take 4 tums, that he found it stops coughing. Hey - it's worth a try!

But I'm also grateful I got sick.  Seriously. I know, it sounds horrible, but I did not want to drive to Mesa on Thursday to 'celebrate Brett' leaving the company.  I still think he is, although very smart, a spoiled brat.  He didn't get the titles he wanted.  So he quit and took a position with another company so he can have the position/title of 'President'.  I sure hope he knows what he is doing.  But my doctor told me I was NOT to leave the house all week (oh darn) therefore, I cannot go to Mesa on Thursday. And everyone will expect me there, cause I support him.  I ordered bowls and napkins sent to his Sr. Director who is organizing this (it is a surprise for him) and I had offered to bring bowls and napkins to the potluck. Amazon is my best friend, and will be delivering them to the Sr Director at home tomorrow. Plenty of time before the party. And I'm grateful I do not have to attend.  This week I just want to rest.

I had a meeting with Brett this morning, going over his calendar - what meetings to delete, what to end date, what to pass on, etc. Found out the board meetings will be going to the President of the company; my buddy Chuck.  I like Chuck. Known him for 9 years, a very honest, hard-working and a good man with integrity.  He worked his way up in the company many years ago.  Brett wanted his job, and had told him so!  When he retired, of course, but Chuck has no plans to retire for at least another few years.  Does it sound like I'm angry with Brett?  Yeah, maybe I am.  I feel he had a pretty high position as it was, and he was complaining about the pay and the title.  I have always felt that if I accept a job for a certain amount, then I shouldn't complain.  I agreed to it.  Like the bible story of the man who sent workers to his vineyard.  Remember that one? Check out Matthew 20.  The vineyard owner went at 9AM, 12PM, 3PM and 6PM and hired people to work his vineyard. When it came time to pay, he gave instructions to pay the last people first.  So they all got a full day's pay.  Every single one of those hired got the same pay.  The ones hired at 9AM complained it wasn't fair as they worked the longest.  But the owner told them, they agreed for that amount, and they got paid that amount, so why where they complaining?  And I have never complained about how much I made; it doesn't matter.  I am paid what I agreed to.  I've been blessed to have Sue as my leader all these years - I know beyond a doubt that my salary is much higher than many people in the same position have. At least I'm pretty sure of it.

Anyway - changing the topic.  Hubby stopped after working out and brought us both sandwiches and orange juice for breakfast/lunch. I could only eat half of the sandwich, and it was good. I was getting hungry.  As soon as I finish this tum in my mouth, I will take my breo - and maybe try getting a nap in. I'm wearing down.

Daggone it - hubby has decided NOT to go to the Men's final meeting tonight - the potluck one. He said he finished the study; he didn't want to go tonight.  I told him I didn't need a babysitter, but could not dissuade him to change his mind. He doesn't want to go so he isn't going.  I gave up the thought of making potato salad; with being sick, I had told him to go to the store and buy macaroni salad to take. Guess he isn't going to do that either.

Got my test results back from Sonora Quest - I love I can look online.  Dr. Mark was right - my Levothyroxine had been too high.  He will give me a prescription to lower it, I'm sure. What he doesn't know is that I have a full bottle of both the 100 and the .88 so I'm probably covered for the rest of the year.  With the 100, I just need to break one in half and on two days take half a pill.  Amazing, isn't it, what one pill can do?

And, I think I'm going to hush and try to take a short nap.  Hubby is taking a nap so why can't I?  I do get a lunch break -whether I take it or not.

So with that - I'll close this off.  Had a nice chat with my oldest son earlier this morning.  Hope you all have a good day.

Blessings!

Ever had that 'feel bad feels bad' feeling?

That's about where I'm at.  Yes, I know you noticed I didn't write in here yesterday.  Let me back up a bit.  I slept in here again - well have for the past 3 nights - and I still can't sleep. I doze, then cough, doze, then cough.  All.night.long.I have not been getting OUT of the bed until 6:30 - which means I haven't even been doing my 'quiet time' since I am feeling so bad.  Even today, I didn't get out of bed until 6:30AM and here I sit, wanting to crawl back into bed and try for a quick nap.  I have taken Musenix DM, Robotussin, Alka Seltzer Plus, put soltice on my chest/spine and bottom of my feet, castor oil on my chest, on my liver, on my belly.... I've taken my olive leaf extract and my sambucol black elderberry syrup.  I still feel miserable.  Not all at the same time, of course.

And you know how miserable I feel?  I cancelled Morgan for tonight.  I have called Dr. Mark's office to see if they can get me in. Waiting on a call back.  I have post-poned our Wednesday night bible study group - it was to be here. Now you know I don't get sick, as a rule - but I am feeling so bad, and coughing so much, that I am just wanting to lay in bed and try to sleep.

I asked hubby to pray over me Saturday night, and he did, that I would be able to speak on Sunday at the RV park.  But during the night I kept thinking I should call one of the other pastors to take it on, I should go to the ER and get some relief.   I'm sure it has gone into bronchitis by now.  All my home remedies have not worked on this one.  Well, I did feel better yesterday morning, and we went to church and I got started on the message.  Hubby says I only started coughing twice.  UGH.

All day Saturday I spent laying on the couch.  I didn't cook all weekend  hence, neither of us ate much. (I've lost 3 pounds!)  After church on Sunday, hubby wanted to go out to eat, of course. We ended up at Streets of New York for their New York Combo pizza - which I upchucked when I got home.  No, I didn't tell hubby.  I spent the rest of the day on the couch.... and we watched several NCIS shows.

And here we are on Monday; I'm trying to approve timecards and having to fix some hourly cards - why can't they just put in the correct time?  Geez!   Waiting on the call from Dr. Mark - but once I get all these time cards fixed, I'm taking a nap!  My watch showed I slept 3 hours last night.  And it feels like it.

Mama quail is on day 3 of nesting.  She hasn't left the nest for me to see if there are more eggs, and I'm trying hard not to disturb her.  12 eggs is enough for anyone, right?

So two days of just laying on the couch, dozing when I could, constantly coughing - one would think I'd feel somewhat rested.  But. I do not.  I am to do a blood draw for Dr. Mark at 10:45 at SQL, sure hope he doesn't try to get me in then - but if he can - my health comes before the blood draw.

and, I'm still not with it so I'm closing this off.  Trying to work some today - once I get timecards approved, I'm taking a nap!

Hope you have a good day - take care of you.

Blessings

This cold....

is driving me crazy.  Congestion, coughing - I sure hope I get rid of all of it by tomorrow morning - we go tot he RV park for church!  Truly do not want to wear a mask - but if I need to, I will. Wouldn't want anyone to get sick - and there is a lot of hugging going on when we go!  This will be it for the season.

Mama quail is perched on her nest this morning - and was most of yesterday. I did go out and check earlier yesterday - still only 12 eggs - does that mean she is done?  I'll have to check later today if she gets up off of the nest.  It really has been fun watching them.  I bought a blink camera - and I'll leave that right there.

Us girls have gotten our Airbnb for our trip next month. I may have told you that earlier.  The mind is the first to go, they say.....

Hubby is after me to find a place for us to go in August.  Sigh.  I did look yesterday, but didn't find anything. I'm sure many were fine - but I want a roomy place with a porch we can sit out on.  And I need to figure out the meals.   I'm thinking of getting TV dinners to take - I've tried to tell him before - going on vacation and still having to cook is NOT vacation for me - it is for him.  Actually, not even for him, since he doesn't cook at all.  I think he has totally forgotten how to cook.

We slept late this morning - I woke up at 2AM coughing - and cough'd off and on until I heard him get up at 6:30AM - I dozed, I'm sure.  But here is it already after 10AM and I'm still in my room.  I slept in here last night - just moved the candy from one side of the bed to the other so that I could sleep.

I did the castor oil thing last night.  I'm sure you have read about people putting castor oil bandages on, wrapping themselves in castor oil, and how much better they felt, etc.  Well, I bought huge bandages and decided to use them the other night. One of the places it said to use them was over the liver - to clean it out. Seems that the castor oil penetrates 6 inches into the skin while we sleep and well, it cleanses one of 'stuff'.  Well, I put one on my liver last night - and I've worn one over the past few nights in different places.  But last night - and this is interesting - I wore it over my liver.  For the first time ever - there is oil - black oil - on the sheets where I had turned on my side.  Surprises me.  I didn't know it would do that. Did it pull some crap out of me?  I will have to tray it again tonight - same area - and see what happens. I would hope it could help me get rid of this cold!

I'm thinking I am going to lay around a lot today - I am not feeling real good - not sure why - other than this cold - which one wouldn't know I had anything wrong until I started coughing. Which isn't often.  I just feel so tired, and just want to sleep. Could be the medications, right?  I took Alka Seltzer Plus this morning; last night I took Musinex DM.  I just want this tired feeling and the coughing to go away. UGH.

and since I don't feel real well, and I just want to sleep - I think I will get out of this room, find something to fix for lunch, and then take a nap.  Maybe a grilled cheese?  Or maybe I'll do another pot of crockpot chicken chili - it does have chicken broth and that is 'Jewish Penicillin, I've always been told.  Or maybe I'll just drink some of the broth. I did eat one of the Belvita packages, but now feel blah. Wish I hadn't eaten it. But it's done.

Need to get on my water as well - haven't drank much of it yet.  So - since I'm totally out of sync this morning, I'm going to close this off - perhaps tomorrow - or Monday - I can come up with something that will be interesting for you.

Have a blessed day

Blessings!

I got them done!

I finished filling each of the eggs with candy about 4:15PM. Yes, I worked on them all day long - minus about an hour that I took to go buy more candy (and bought too much) and picked up Jack in the Box for lunch.  I text'd Pastor John and asked if I could drop them off - long story short - I took the eggs over to the church (which is about 6 minutes away) and someone was there to help me bring the eggs in and be done with them.  Then I came home, and when I sat down on the couch, I discovered two eggs that had fallen out of the bags.... so I actually turned in 1998 instead of 2000.  No biggie, I'm sure.  I'll hand these off to hubby when he goes for his last Tuesday night study. I think he said this week was a celebration of the end of the study - and they want side dishes brought.  Decided I will fix potato salad for him to take.

My fingers are swollen and sore, but they have survived the stuffing and closing of all the eggs.  But my body - well, I have developed a cold of sorts.  Some coughing. No fever.  Found some antibiotics and am taking those, taking Musinex DM - I preach on Sunday the last time this season - got to be able to talk!  I just seem to have some coughing but will keep people at a distance until I can get it to stop.  My arthritis in my knuckles are letting me know they aren't happy.  And, I was awakened during the night with my left hip burning - just as it did the night I got bit by the scorpion or whatever bit me on the inside of my leg. I can't go back to sleep; it is a burning that covers my thigh.  Happens about every few days.  Need to put Voltaren on it as well.  Dr. Mark, not seeing the bites and walking through that journey with me, thinks it may just be some time of 'itis' - and it may be - but I'm more concerned it could be something more serious. He and I will have talk about this when I have an appointment with him.  Not going to schedule one for just an occasional pain in the left hip.  The Fosamax that I take for my osteopenia - a side effect is that a bone can just snap in to for no reason (the drug builds up the outside of the bone, but the inside can still be weak).  I think I may have one more year on this drug - I would prefer not taking anything, but the doctors seem to think my osteopenia needs help.  I don't like putting drugs in my body.  Unless I have a reason for it.

My half a peanut butter sandwich didn't sustain me from last night so I got into hubby's cereal this morning.  Rice Chek, I think it was.  Not bad. At least it filled my belly.    I need to lay out something for dinner; we don't have plans to go out.

My daughter sent emails out yesterday to me and her daughter - we have an AIRBNB in Pine that we will be staying at.  I told her to just make a decision.  I'm not too sure about the decision, with looking at the photos, but it will be fine.  I am VERY self-conscious about my snoring due to numerous laughing comments about it.  Like I have any control over it.  I'm not sure how the rooms will be lined out - one of them will either have to listen to my snoring - or I get the best room in the house. Alone. For one, I am usually the one up first - and I do my quiet time in the room.  If I share a room, I will have to actually get up out of bed and go into another room.  Of course I'm the only one who has a time with God in the mornings, but just because I'm on vacation, doesn't mean I give it up.  I need my time with God too much - it is a part of me, if you know what I mean.

Both Sue and Brett are back at work today after two all day meetings (grateful one was yesterday so that I could do the eggs!)  I still had a couple meetings to schedule - but nothing heavy.  Today I am also covering for a friend - and she has about 8 doctors.  Usually I don't hear from any of them - so will see how that goes.  But I'm hoping, with the start of this cold, that I can sneak in a couple naps.  Maybe I can - Sue and I will chat this morning and check on our weekend activities coming up - but after that, I may not hear from her.

Another short one, but I'm feeling tired so want to take this last ten minutes or so and close my eyes.  I already have the work computer up so I'm good there.  I just need some rest; enjoy the quiet while hubby is gone.  He will be going to see our friend Chuck - so he won't be home until about 11:30AM.  I love these mornings when I can just be quiet.  And maybe take a nap. :-)

Gotta go - time is getting away from me.  Have a blessed day - for someone who needs encouragement, who could use a friend - be one.  Let them know you care.  Be kind.  Some day you may need it yourself.

Blessings!
