A little confused this morning....

and I've been trying to figure out what is going on.  I skim my emails as I often do when I first turn on my computer and I had notification from Facebook that my account had been signed in to yesterday - in Indianapolis!  So I tried to get to my password to change it - and I keep asking Facebook to send me the code - and it isn't coming through.  After about 30 minutes, I have paused.  I checked posts (through activity), but can't see anything that is different.  It's really weird.  Nothing seems out of whack - other than it tells me the password I have is wrong and there seems to be a delay in getting a code on my phone to key in to change it.  I'll work on it later.  I need to check the Instagram account - that's the only two I use - maybe it was that one - but I find it still interesting it was in Indianapolis.  I did change my password a couple weeks ago and didn't write it down so it is possible I am using the wrong one trying to get in now.  I'll have to check on it later.

Yesterday was a good day.  Had lunch with the Admins and enjoyed it.  Only 3 others came; 1 was sick, and the other had computer issues and had to drive downtown to Corporate to get a new computer.  Today we are having 3 'town halls' and it will be a different type day as I will be listening to each one as I'm working - in case something happens to one of the presentations and I need to step in and share it on my computer.  I haven't ever had to before, but I guess there is always the first time.   Went shopping with my daughter after dinner last night and although we only went to one store, I was able to get a couple things for stockings.

Ever since I told hubby the other day to turn on the heat - it was 65 degrees in here and I was freezing.  This room is the coldest in the house - and when the heat is on - it's the hottest.  He has been messing with turning it up ever since - I had 'suggested' to him to put it on 68-70 and leave it there.  Yesterday afternoon I found it on 75!!  I turned it down to 70.  I hear it running now.  Last night I was awake at midnight - hot - and again at 3AM - and I finally got up then.  We WILL be having a conversation about the thermostat.  We both sleep better when it is cool - why is he turning it up??  UGH  It's going to be a battle for he just feels I'm treading on his territory.   But I can't stand it so warm (as it is right now) - I'd rather have to wear a sweater or a hoodie.  When I get off here I'll check it and turn it back down if I need to.  The battle of the thermostat.  Stay tuned.  You know I'm going to lose, but will get my point across.

I really need to get some more gifts wrapped and out of this room.  I've spent more than I meant to - as usual - but I don't care.  I still have a few gifts to buy - and I need to make salsa because I want to take to our pastors tonight at our prayer meeting.  We will be gone the next three Sundays - this coming Sunday I'm at one RV park, the next Sunday at the other - and the next Sunday is Christmas Eve - and my daughter and family will be here around noon.  Will see if I get it done - if not - will try for next week.  I need to schedule lunch with an old friend too - and finish up her gift.  And I have two boxes here on the bed that need to be finished and put in the mail.  I'll wait until Monday for those, I think - no big deal.  I got a surprise gift from my big brother yesterday - it's like a snow globe, but it isn't round - it lights up and has 3 snowmen in it and it is really pretty.  He said two more gifts will be here Friday - and we can't open those until Christmas.  He's always been mean like that - but he does send me really nice gifts.  He gets my bread.  LOL  Last year I hadn't sent him any - and he commented he didn't get my bread - so I had to make a special trip to the post office and put a large loaf in the mail to him.  Teach him to comment about my bread!  LOL

John 10:14-15 (NKJV):  "I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As my Father knows Me, even so I know the Father, and I lay down My life for the sheep."

Ever since I read the book by Phillip Keller called A Shepherd looks at the 23rd Psalm, I have a new outlook on the words Shepherd, and Sheep.  It's interesting to note that a shepherd either runs when he sees a wolf coming for the sheep - or will stay and fight for the sheep.  It all depends if the sheep belong to the shepherd, or if he is a hireling.  If the sheep doesn't belong to him, he doesn't care if the wolf comes - he's getting out of there!  But when the sheep are your own, you will fight the wolf to protect your sheep.  Remember David, the shepherd boy who became King of Israel?  He fought a lion and a bear!

And that is what our Shepherd will do for us.  Jesus is our Shepherd, and He will fight the battles for us.  When things come against us, when we turn to Him, He will fight for us - we just have to invite Him in to the fight.  So many times we think we can handle it all by ourselves.  We don't ask His opinion, we don't see His advice, we don't even invite Him into the situation.  And there is utter chaos.  But when we do invite Him in to the situation, the battle, He will fight for us.  So who are you leaning on - yourself, or on the Shepherd who gave up His life to save you?

Trust me, I would not be here today if I fought my own battles.  I learned a long time ago that if I did not invite Jesus into my situations - good and bad - I can make a real mess of my life.  I still look back and cringe when I see when I try to do it all my way.  But when I followed His lead and let Him deal with the situation, then I was able to survive through it.  Make sense?

So - today, why don't you ask Jesus to handle anything that comes your way today?  You will find such peace cause you gave up YOUR control, to allow Him to take care of it.

Blessings!
