What can I write in 20 minutes?

Depends on my thought process and how fast I type, I guess, huh?  Getting a very late start this morning since I didn't get up until 5:30AM, and reading my Bible and prayer comes first.  Then of course I need to check the bank balance, skim emails, etc. before jumping in here where I will ramble for a few.

Life has been filled full lately.  My husband is cooperating for the most part, about his driving, but when I'm busy, or just not thinking, he 'does things for me' - such as I needed a gift card the other day for Morgan, (did I mention this before?) and he picked up a Visa... and drove to the drugstore to get it.  Oh yeah, NOW I remember I wrote about it already.  (Am I the one losing it?)

My oldest son has medical issues and finally got to see the specialist on Monday  He finally sent an update last night and wrote in his blog this morning.  I did check with his wife on Monday and she gave me a summary.  I didn't check with my son for I figured he needed to process whatever he was told.  At least now he has seen the long-awaited doctor.  I keep praying for miracles.  I did go see my DIL yesterday and finally got her birthday gift to her.  Also took her some of the goodies I have made and told her she could share if she wanted - or take them all home.

I dropped hubby off at IHOP last night for his bible study (last one until after the first of the year) and went to visit my daughter, who is still in the hospital. Looks like it may be a few more days - until some body functions work on their own.  She is starting to move more in the bed, but her movements are very limited.  After she ate last night, she kept falling asleep as they had given her a pain medication before I got there.  I left a little early so she could get a nap in before her husband arrived for the night.  Yes, either he or their daughter stays the night with her; they won't let her be alone.  I'm glad that they are showing her their concern and love.  So many times it is taken for granted 'mom' is always there for them - now mom is feeling the love.  Her trip to NM is definitely put on hold, but I think the SIL is planning on going tomorrow....  I hope he doesn't - unless the grandson flies here from NM to ride and help drive - and see his mama while he is here!  He was so concerned when he heard about the accident.  The granddaughter has been there a lot as well.  Anyway - I visit when I can and stay a couple hours.  Plan to go there tonight after my workout - and hubby says he is going with me tonight.

And to top all this off, my right knee has decided to misbehave.  I don't know what it is.  Something began to be sore inside the knee a few days ago - but I ignored it.  I don't know if I hit it against something or what.  But this morning it is extremely painful whenever I extend my leg.  This could be interesting. I certainly do not want knee issues like two of my siblings - and I exercise and I walk - and this would definitely limit both of those things.  But, the pain is radiating up my thigh so I'm not sure what is going on.  Now is not the time for something to be going on.  My schedule is full and it requires me moving.

I was able to get two batches of pumpkin raisin cookies made yesterday.  And realized I was out of all-purpose flour - with baking to do.  So I headed over to the grocery and got that and a few more things.  Was able to make my cranberry pumpkin nut bread last night before going to bed.  Which made it late - which is why I didn't wake up until 5:30AM this morning.  My knee is throbbing.  Oh joy.  Anyway - I need to see what is in the freezer already made and hopefully get my brother's package off to him today.  I need to finish up my little sister's and if I can, I will.  No rush on either, really.  My younger brother I need to figure out for him as well.  Just a little something for each one of them.  Unfortunately, a $5 gift can cost over $20 once USPS adds their charges.  One year I sent a small loaf of bread that I made in a very small box - and it cost me nearly $20 to ship it.  That just seemed so wrong!

Today will be extremely busy - I need to work, the dryer repairman is to come this morning, the house cleaners are to come this morning, I have training this afternoon, and visit my daughter tonight.  And in all this, I have hubby... and wrapping..... (although I did get a lot wrapped yesterday too)... and my knee is hurting badly.... Lord, HELP!

Philippians 4:6-8 (NLT):  Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing.  Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

In the good and in the bad, praise God, for only He can deliver us from the things of this life.  Nothing has escaped His notice.  Hubby gets frustrated with me because he doesn't understand why I'm not stressing over my children's medical issues.  There is nothing I can do for them physically to make it 'all better'.  But what I can do is pray for them, and entrust them to the One who created them in His image. I trust in Jesus, and I leave my children in His hands.  No matter what, I have released them into His care.  And I told my youngest son to 'bubblewrap'.  LOL

Gotta go - it's time!

Blessings!
