I'm hungry this morning!

Not really sure why.  We ate dinner about our usual time (between 4-5PM) last night.  I threw some meatballs into the crockpot in the afternoon - didn't have grape jelly so used BBQ sauce.  Fixed mashed potatoes and broccoli... it was a good dinner.  But now, my tunny is telling me it's hungry.  I'll fix a protein shake soon.   No, I still haven't lost any weight.  sigh.  In spite of all my training.

I hear hubby moving around - he has his Bible study with about 5 men this morning.  And breakfast.  Teehee.  Our trainer has him write down what he is eating... and finally told him yesterday that he eats out too much.  Seriously?  Tuesday morning with his friends.  Tuesday night with other friends.  Friday morning with this Bible study.  And that doesn't count when he wants us to go out.   All one has to do is mention food and he is ready to go.  And it really isn't so much of him going out to eat so much (other than I don't like him spending $$ for breakfast or dinner all the time).... it's what he chooses to eat.  He says he was told he needs more protein.. so he orders steak and eggs for breakfast.  I'm thinking calories.  He's thinking protein.  LOL  And makes fun of me when I have breakfast with my boss and I order oatmeal.

Another person is retiring in our department and I am meeting with her today to get her equipment to bring back here and store it.  If I let it go to the office - convenient for storage - but we don't always get back what we ask them to hold for us with all the drives on it.  So I'm going to store the equipment here and have it when they hire a new person.  I've only met her once - she said she drives a red camary. Like I would know what that is.  I gave her an area - think I will go a little eary and get a specific spot and tell her that is where I am - she can come find me.

A plus is that - if it is still there - I got my free birhtday bundt cake notice yesterday and I can pick it up. But I thought I saw it was gone the other day when I drove by - my luck it IS gone.  But, if not, I can pick up my free birthday bundt cake.  Otherwise, like years pasat, I probalby won't get it.  I'm just not like some people who always have to go get every freebie.... you know who I'm referring to.... I don't need all the extra calories; I don't need to have my hand out for something I don't normally buy.  If the bundt place is open, I do plan to buy a half dozen and share with my neighbors.

Oh - speaking of neighbors!  I had checked Ms. Amy's mail the other day and it was full.  In it was one of her insurnace papers that said it was cancelled.... so I mailed it to her son with a note that I hadn't been checking since the key had been taken from me and there was nothing for me to check on. Couldn't start the car up; couldn't flush the toilets or run the water, and both screen doors are unlocked and some things missing from the front courtyard that I videotaped and sent to the youngest sister.  He emailed me back Teusday and said he apologized for his idiot sister.  LOL  I get the impression that he and his sisters don't get along.  I have a feeling he contacted one of them to mail me a key cause I got a text the other day from her 'Hi Hun, what's your last name?'.  LOL  He also asked if he could call me - and I said yes.  But, he hasn't called yet.  I may send him a text today as I mentioned Maria and her hubby were coming out after we got back from vacation on the 16th. I wonder if he thinks we are on vacation now.  I'll let him know we don't leave for another week.  Wonder what he wants to talk about. I need to call Ms. Amy and see how she is doing.

I also need to get over and see Ms. Diane and Ms. Vicky this week.  Ms. Diane is home and is doing better with her PT... but she still can't figure out now how to open the garage door for me.  So I don't bother her.  When her daughter is there I'll run over to see her.  Ms. Vicky has had company the past few days but I do need to check on her this weekend.  Love these women and they keep me laughing.  I've got to get out with younger people though.  I refuse to get old!  And yet, here I am.

My devotion today asked the question 'what are you striving for in life?'  Meaning, what do I try to do in my own power; things that I choose to value and desire.  It is interesting that the thought came to me of hubby  holding on to our joint checkbook.... you know, the one I threw at him years ago because he refused to get a job and help.... and I was at my wits end.  Worst thing I have ever done.  He has never relinquished it, although I have asked for it back and prayed for it to come back many times.  He likes being able to go to his outings without having to 'ask' if we have the money for him to do so.  In all fairness, he also pays his bills from there... but he also buys things and then cancels too late - and doesn't return them....

But on a positive note, he doesn't pay for arthritic cream any more that doesn't work.  The trainer has focused on his shoulders and the muscle has grown to where it has lifted the bone off the bone and it doesn't give him the pain he had.  Imagine that.  After all the weeks of PT he insisted on that didn't do anything.  Just working out and increasing the muscle in his shoulder was enough to raise the bone off the bone.

Hubby keeps interrupting me so I am shutting up this morning.  So I will leave you with the question that I am still pondering beyond my irritation with the above.....

"what are you striving to control?"

I'm thinking I need to create a bucket list.  Yeah, that came to mind this morning too.  I have lost too many dreams to even think of any anymore....  but if I could... what would it be?

What would be on your bucket list?

Blessings!
