Still working from home and I found out from my big boss last week that we will be working from home until at least August - if not permanently. I told her that I was getting used to it - although hubby still interrupts constantly - but was not missing the long drive.
And now the day is over - at least the work part of it - and I nevver got back to finishing this. NO KIDDING. Total interruptions by hubby - 6 times between 7AM - 8:45AM; plus 5 to 11:22AM; plus 5 by 2:24PM and plus 6 more by 4PM. which comes to a total of 22 times he has come into the 'office' to ask a question, to comment, to make his presence known... and that is if I even remembered to mark he had come in! He will come in and ask me if I've completed a project I shared thta I needed to get done! This is the part I DON'T like about working from home.
We have painters here to day painting the alcove, the storage room, the laundry room, and my bathroom. They seem to be doing a good job - a husband and wife team - but I know it is a lot of work. I leave them alone.
My son-in-law and grandson have been here off and on today - finishing up repairs; found out the washer has been leaking and we didn't know it. Found out hubby had turned the sink on in the laundry room and it wasn't hooked up and went all over the floor and he didn't know it. (pan face) They have been working on getting that mess cleaned up off the newly laid wood floors. Going to get a newer used washer - this one is about 25 years old and it looks like it is leaking pretty bad. We probably could call our warranty company to fix it - but we have to pay $75 for them to come out ... or we can savour $75 and take the used newer one for now. As long as it washes clothes, I really don't care what brand it is or what we use. Who knows, we may find a house that is leaving their washer/dryer and it may be much newer than ours now.
Anyway, another truckload of boxes were hauled off to the storage compartment. I dread the thought of unpacking all this stuff - a lot can be thrown out - and I'm getting now where if I'm not using it, and no one wants it, it can go to Savers. I'm just tired of all the clutter. Got to stop.
I've been eating everything I can get my hands on today - and I'm not even hungry. My new exercise/weight program flew out the window last week. I did it two days, then some of my fitness bands got accidently packed and sent to storage. I was stressing to get boxes packed so they can be taken to storage - I just didn't have another hour in me to exercise. So I have put it on the back burner for now. My eating is out of control - I'm a stress eater - and even if I'm not hungry, I'm eating whatever I can. I've got to stop!
I started reading a book last night about Elijah. He is one of my favorite in the Bible. I used to pray I could get a triple portion of what Elijah had. I love his faith in God and that God will do what He says He will do. I want my faith to be so strong that nothing can penetrate it with any doubt or any thing. I used to have that faith. I really did. I still have faith, don't get me wrong. But life has hit me with a lot of struggles, a lot of pain, and the crushing blows of relationships splintered have beaten me badly. I still believe. I just want my faith to increase. And I am trying to focus on God and my relationship with Him, for that is the only way it will grow.
I got lazy, I guess, with all the interruptions of life. I let circumstances and people beat me up, and I've lost my joy. But now I am fighting to find my way again, I am seeking my Joy in Him. It isn't about people, it's about Whom I choose to serve with all my heart. It is a great desire that I be all that God wants me to be, and my desire is to be Completely His.
Jesus has been, and always will be, my All in All.
Blessings!e
