No, not in my head - but from the outside! Yes, being in Phoenix we have beautiful weather today and I have the back door open. AND I'm on a vacation day - which is extra nice. No real reason for taking the day off, but worked at home yesterday so took the day as it is Friday. Mailed a package off to my sissy this morning and just finished paying some bills.
Have a couple errands I want to do yet and may head out that way as soon as I finish this. Just wanted to get a few things completed this morning before I don't do anything. Hey - I AM on vacation!
Hubby has gone to get his hair cut and it is quiet here at the moment. Marley is outside soaking up the sun. She definitely is on a schedule. In the morning when I'm home she will come in the back room to curl up on the futon next to me while I do my quiet time. Once I'm done, she goes outside and soaks up the sun for awhile before coming in to lay on the tile. Really lives a dogs life.
I'm grateful that my job allows me time off for play, or whatever I want to use it for. Some places make you wait until you work a year before you are allowed any days. I was allowed two weeks in my first year. This is my first day off as 'vacation' this year. If we could have afforded it, we would have had a mini-vacation of sorts this weekend. We will still a little bit. I'm officiating at my boss's daughter's wedding tomorrow afternoon. The rehearsal was yesterday. We wanted to stay at a hotel Thursday and Friday night, but we really didn't have the extra money to do that. My boss, as a thank you for doing the wedding (and it is about 45 miles away - all freeway), is paying for a hotel for us Saturday so that we can stay at the reception until the end. I feel that is very thoughtful of them to do that for us. It will be nice to stay up way too late with others at the wedding and enjoy staying at a hotel that night. We will have to come back the next day, of course. Marley is going to the Pet Hotel, which we think she enjoys somewhat. Yes, it does cost us, but it is a nice break not to worry about her being alone at home and being taken care of. We will pick her up Sunday late afternoon.
Well, hubby is back home, and I need to start on errands. Just wanted to take a few minutes to write a few lines. I've been fighting a headache this morning so not thinking too much, for sure!
But I do love listening to the birds chirp. Take some time out of your day to listen to the noise outside. God has placed the birds there for our enjoyment. As well as dogs barking.
Listen. You may hear something...
Blessings!
