I overdosed on carbs yesterday. It was a somewhat stressful day and I ate a banana. I think it has 27 carbs in it - really! And I had rotisserie chicken I needed to use up - and threw in a crockpot and added chicken stock and noodles... and yeah.... I was so hungry I ate a bowl of it in the afternoon AND at dinner last night! I told hubby we will have some for lunch, and the rest will go in the freezer for another time I don't want to cook. I didn't have regular noodles, and I didn't want to make any, so just used the bowtie pasta I had on hand. Anyway - it was good, and I really expected my weight to be up today - instead I lost a whole pound overnight! Could it be my body has been craving carbs? I sure ate my share of them the last couple of days.
Hubby had me concerned last night. I mean really concerned, too. He went to Bible study last night and he came back in and seemed to be unstable in his walk some as he came around the back room. I asked him if he was ok. He just had that heaviness look about him. He said that he was just extremely tired, although he had done nothing all day but read. He didn't even have a workout yesterday - but did this morning, and he just left for it. He seems to be a bit better since he got some rest. But I was very concerned as I hadn't seen him like this before, where he just looked wiped out. Then again, he is 88 and I guess it will happen at times. But I would expect it more when he has completed a task. I take that back - he did do his laundry yesterday so he did do something.
My sister swears by the 'Balance of Nature' fruits and veggies capsules. She says that she doesn't even need to take a nap in the afternoon when she takes those, as she has so much energy. So I finally gave in and bought a bottle of each. For both, through Amazon, it is $89 I think. I received the first bottles yesterday and took the three capsules of each this morning. Now to see if they will help me. I'm thinking of just going ahead and ordering a set of bottles for hubby and see if that will help him. Maybe we both will get some energy to DO something rather than just sit around the house. I'm just as guilty of that as he is anymore. I WANT to get out and do things, but don't want to deal with comments and discouragement so don't even try. I instead bury myself in crochet and movies. Kick my butt to the curb and get some walking in, I hope!
Finished up I, II, and III John this morning. Great books of the Bible and if you would take the time to read them, you will see how much love is valued in life. Love for Jesus, love for our Heavenly Father, Love for the Holy Spirit, and love for each other.
Sometimes it is really hard to love others. I get it. I have that same problem. We can love them, but it doesn't mean that we have to 'like' them or deal with them. But we must be kind. I can't find the verse I was wanting to add, and I'm running out of time this morning - again.
Sigh. And my eyes are getting ready to do their 'ocular migraine' thing where I lose part of my vision for about 20 minutes in one eye. They say there is no cure for ocular migraines, but I don't see why there isn't. At least I don't get a headache - well, rarely will I feel anything. It's just things I'm reading will all of a sudden have darkness covering some of the letters. Like right now, I have lightening bolts shooting across the letters I'm typing and I can only 'guess' that I am hitting the right letters.
So with that - I'm going to get off here.... I can't see what I'm typing and I'm distracted by it. It will go away in about 10-20 minutes and life will be grand. Have a board meeting today... my 'old' one. Not sure if I NEED to attend, but will to make sure the new person knows what to do. I like listening in and hearing whats going on anyway.
Ok - I'm off here - can't se anyway. Hope you have an amazing day.
Blessings!
