When you pray/read...

 When you read your Bible and pray the prayers that are in there, you are not only blessing others, you are returning the blessing to you.  Think about this with Colossians 1:9-11.

Colossians 1:9-11 9 (NKJV):  For this reason we also, do not cease to pray for you, and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power. for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

Fill in the blanks as we go along, putting the name of a loved one there that you would like to pray for.  This will help you learn how to pray over them.  Ready?  Just taking the above prayer from Colossians 1, let's pray.... (put a name in the blanks)

Lord, may ____________ be filled with the knowledge of Your will.  Help ________________ to walk worthy of You, whether at work, at school, at play, every minute of every day.  May ____________ please You fully in every word and deed.  Empower __________ to be productive in good works.  May ___________ increase in the knowledge of God.  Fill ___________ with Your mighty power to endure in faith, with joy, even when life is painful.

See how easy that was?  As you read your bibles, pray what you read over your spouse, your family, your loved ones.   You can even pray it for yourself!  And I did this morning, after I prayed it over my hubby.  When you don't know what to pray, always go to scripture for it has exactly what you need to pray.

Wow - where has the time gone this morning!  It is already getting away from me and I don't have much time left before I need to jump on the computer.  Let's see if I can think and type fast so I can get my 'usual' ramblings in.  You know you need them. :-)

Yesterday was not a busy day at all.  Yes, I still had things to do, but most of the day, I did not.  My male boss was 'supposed' to be on PTO yesterday, and although I did not hear from him all day (which is why I didn't have much to do), he did send me an email last night that he DID work, that he was catching up on everything he was behind on and also did call in on a few calls that were on his calendar.  He SHOULD be on PTO of as today through and including Monday.  I did chat with my favorite boss a bit and she is relaxing in Buffalo, although she is also still working.  We've blocked the last two hours of the day (here) as she is starting earlier (they are 3 hours ahead of us) getting things done.  There are some meetings through she will be working up to 7PM their time as the call is at 4PM here.  Still, those are few and far between since we blocked the calendar.

Got a couple more training things thrown in my inbox so plan to get those out of the way today.  Always something, right.  So looking forward to being off the next two days, although we don't have much planned at this point.  I'm praying for my son to get work, but hoping he doesn't, so that we can have breakfast/brunch together on Friday morning. :-) Is that being selfish?  I AM praying he will get work.....  but spending time with him gets in the way of being real sincere.  (sorry, not sorry)

I have the gym tonight and I think we will probably go to the prayer meeting at church.  When I don't do the gym and we are home all evening, it's easy to shrug and decide not to go.  But when we're already 'out', it is easy to grab a bite to eat and keep going.  I plan to put a roast in the oven early afternoon so that we can have an early dinner.  But then, I can't eat too much, Morgan has warned me it WILL be core exercises tonight!  Not sure I am looking forward to it.  I know I need it so that I keep my balance as I age, but it will hurt so bad.  So much for me thinking my muscles have gotten used to exercise and doesn't hurt as much - last night and this morning my butt and hamstrings are yelling at me this morning as I move about, telling me they have been stretched.  Now if they would just SHRINK!!

So much I really want to get done around here but I use the two excuses.... 1) work keeps me from getting things done (now mind you, my chest of drawers I want to clean out is less than 4 feet away from my desk), and 2) when hubby is home, I can't get anything done.  That definitely is a true #2.  I get annoyed when I get questioned about 'what are you doing?' 'Why are you doing that?' 'Oh, it's about time you get started on that, you've had it on your list forever.'  UGH.  Just leave me alone and let me do what I want to get done.  My bookcase next to my chair is getting lopsided again too.  Will I do ANYthing while I'm off?  Who knows.  Hubby will want to 'watch a movie?'.  How can one sit and just watch movies all day??!!  I'd rather curl up with a good book!

Ok - gotta go - my time is up.  Hope you have an amazing day!

Blessings!
