Wow what a fun day!

My friend and I had a great time yesterday at the Christmas Ideas House.   We always get a small gift to commemorate the occasion.  Last year it was a glass coaster with the words of Christmas Ideas House on it.  This year we received a gnome ornament.  So fun!  We had brunch of turkey and gravy, ham, salmon, fresh fruit, french toast (made from french bread with two slices put together with cream cheese), toppings for that, broccoli salad, mushroom spinach quiche, ... I can't remember what else!  Also had coffee, juices, mimosas for whomever wanted them.  We ate then headed over to the shuttle which took us to the house.  Being outside so much, my sneezing and watery eyes was unreal. My boss, who is a nurse, said it appeared to be allergies... and I'm hoping that is all it is.  We went through the house and I did buy a lot of little things to give as gifts.  After I got home and opened my bag, I realize I also did a lot of impulse buying.  Hmmmm. I can always put some of that back for next year, right?  It was a great time and I was on the road home by 11:30AM.  But, because I felt so bad with all the sneezing, stopped at the drugstore for Clairton (sp) and came home.  I slept for two hours!  (so did hubby).  Then, after TV dinners for our evening meal, I was in bed by 7PM and didn't get up until nearly 5AM.

I woke frequently during the night to get up (I did drink a lot of water yesterday), but as long as I was laying down, I wasn't coughing or sneezing.  So that's a good thing, right?  This morning it is like I'm trying to get it out of my system. Cough cough.  (no sneezing  yet) and it's settling in my chest like a cold. Praise God no fever at all. I rebuke it!   Olive Leaf Extract, Elderberry syrup - yeah, I'm soaking it up now!  I preach tomorrow morning at the RV park and I must be rid of this totally!

After being plugged in yesterday all day I checked my kindle last night - wouldn't come up.  Decided to change the cord and the plug - and 3 hours later it had 1%.  By the time I went to bed, it was up to 2%.  If it isn't up to 100% today, I'll probably just buy myself a new one and see if I can 'sell' this one back to Amazon to reburnish and resale.

Needles of Hope is this morning and I plan to go at this moment.  I'm declaring I'm healed of all the sneezing and coughing so am holding to my plans.

Psalm 103:1-5 (NKJV):  Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."

Who can we bless but the Lord, for He alone is faithful when we are faithless; He alone is good, when we have no clue of right or wrong.  To be forgiven of ALL things, is a great gift; can you look back over your life and see the things you have done wrong, and you know that if you confess those things to the Lord, He wipes those 'bad' things out of your life and makes you whole in Him?  Sure, we still have to suffer the consequences of things we have done, but even God is Lord over those things, and if we seek His face and turn to Him, He will help you walk through those consequences.  The Lord is Good, and He is Faithful, and will keep you until the end.  He will walk the journey of life with you, but you need to ASK Him ... otherwise, He can - and usually will - leave you to your own choices.  Of course when those who love you ae praying for your... some things can be adverted.  Just saying.  And I'm not just talking about your mama.  I know of spouses and even children who have prayed for family members and although it would have been easy to become discouraged of not seeing the answer they prayed for, I am sure they persist in that prayer, and keep knocking on the throne door, waiting for the answer to come.  Are you the one preventing their prayer from being answered?

We have a lot of drama going on in the family right now.  It breaks my heart, but I confronted my son the other day and told him it was his fault.  Not what happened, but the drama.  Why?  Because he did not take seriously the responsibility of the father to teach his children about Jesus.  Because his children - in this case - his daughter, does not known anything about Jesus, she doesn't understand that what she is doing is wrong.  She thinks the words she uses, and the things she does, is ok, because all her friends speak and act the same way.  She hasn't been shown Jesus, she doesn't know that Life is in Him.  The man of the house is to be the Spiritual Leader of the home.  Sometimes the spouse has to step up and lead, but it isn't her responsibility.  I don't think my words to him made much difference.  He needs to get on his face and repeat to the Lord and seek Him to restore this relationship.  It will take an act of God, for sure, for now it is just trading barbs on facebook.  I can pray, yes, as can you, that pride will be rejected and reality take over.  Bring healing, Lord, bring healing.

I Chronicles 16:34 (NKJV):  "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His mercy endures forever!"

Need to wrap gifts this afternoon to see what I am still lacking.  I may end up taking some things back for I am sure I bought too much.  I really did try to cut back this year... but costs are so much higher and I didn't want to do the funny t-shirts this year... I think most are outgrowing those... although one son says he loves his sarcastic T-shirts. :-)  I would limit things to one, if I was sure that was the one thing they really were wanting.

My greatest want for this year?  To be in better contact with my grandchildren this year and be more a part of their lives.  It isn't just 'their' fault for being busy.... it is mine.  I say I have an open invitation, and I do, but I also need to make the effort to do a specific invite.  I'm sad that I live so far away from some now.  I'm going to make a point to keep in touch with each one this year.

My new resolution - and here it is just after the first of December.... and I'm making resolutions?  But this is one that is dear to my heart.  I want my grandchildren to know me.  And my great-grands too!  More effort on my part.

Need to 'get it together' this morning.  Hope you have a blessed day!

Blessings!
