I went to the estate sale next door. Just thought I would do a walk through. I found quilts. I grabbed them all. My daughter usually goes to estate sales to buy quilts, so I thought she would want these. Only I didn't think about it at the time - they are all twin size. No, she didn't want them. But, still, at $10-15 a quilt, it was a good deal. Three I know are hand made by Ms. Amy. In fact, her daughter, Maria, called me last night and asked if I had gone over and I said yes, and what I had bought. She specifically asked about two of the quilts, did I get those, and I said yes. She was pleased and told me to keep those as her mother made them herself. Well, will see. I'm not sure how many grandchildren have a twin bed now, but am willing to give one to them who do, if wanted. Actually, I think there are only two the grandchildren would want.... one with princesses and one with Hello Kitty or whatever it is called, perhaps not so much. The two are real quilts. For now, though, I need to find a place to put them. So much for decluttering.
There was still a desk I'd like to get - not needed - but would like to put in our bedroom. When I mentioned it to hubby last night - he told me NO, it was still HIS house too, and HE did not want it in our bedroom. I don't know what his problem is / was last night. Erase erase. sigh. pray for me.
Anyway - if anyone needs a dresser, sofa, desk, safe, lots of other items - very cheap - they need to come take a looksee at what is there. After tomorrow all will be disposed of. And I tell you what; if that desk is still there... (it's nothing fancy, just a nice writing desk, no drawers) I am getting it and I'll store it in the garage if I have to! May check with a granddaughter today to see if her hubby needs it for his work since he works remote. I think it's wide enough for a computer. He may have a desk already, but I'll ask.
So glad today is Friday. Hubby is getting ready to leave for his Bible study. I'll be alone for a few hours. I am supposed to go donate blood today. Last time my iron was too low. 13.4 versus 13.5. Will see if I can make it happen today. If I don't make it today, they will send me a letter to wait. LOL Just got a text reminder on my phone I have an appointment today. Got to remember to fill out the 'fast track' to save time. I may run over and check on that desk. Do I dare?
Oh yeah - went to my foot doctor yesterday. He said I have Achilles Tendonitis. I have bone spurs, yes, but they are rubbing against the tendons and causing inflammation. Rub Voltaren cream on them - and he gave me some stretching exercises to do 3 x day (yeah, right, that's gonna happen) - need to stretch the tendons so they won't be tight and rub against the spurs. Nothing else to be done. Doesn't need to see me unless pain gets worse. I already do one of the exercises; will just need to incorporate the other two. He also told me to wear tennis shoes all the time. Working from home that will be easy. But, going out, naw, won't wear tennis shoes. He also gave me a list of brands to wear.... tennis shoes that can be bent in half are not supportive of your heels and feet. Luckily, I already have one of the shoes on the list so just switched back to them. I need to go through my tennis shoes anyway and see what I can get rid of. You know, that 'D' word - declutter.
And, with that, I got to jump off here. I have things I have to do first thing this morning before work. I'm out of thoughts and am now just rambling. Hope you have a good day.
