It was a tough day

I do not know what was going on with me yesterday.  It started out with an ocular migraine that did not go away as quickly as it usually does.  When it finally left, about 30 minutes later, I had a dull headache, moreso than usual. It was actually bad enough that I got up and took two tylenol.  Yeah, that bad.  I just felt 'puny' most of the day.  Not nauseated or anything like that; just puny.

I pushed through yesterday and although I did have to lay down a few times to just get my bearings, (and pray that God would help me feel better), I managed to get all the strawberries I had left (about 3 cases) washed and hulled, and made four half-pints of just strawberry jam.  No cranberries in these.  I kept enough strawberries in the refrigerator (the rest went in the freezer) and took out a bag of cranberries, so that I can make a small batch of cranberry/strawberry jam - it seems as if we may be the only ones who like it - and that's ok - more for us.

Joe did text me back yesterday but he has nothing until next Saturday at 1PM - and I took it.  In my mind, it is now a done deal and I've found a photo of me in the past in which I liked that hairstyle and it was easy to maintain.  I wonder if Joe could also start highlighting this since it has been dyed brown?  Like, start from the very beginning years ago when he first started doing my hair?  Guess I will have to ask him.  It works out good for me, as I will have needles of hope from 9-12 and since I'm only a few miles a way, I can do some shopping and then stop at Joe's shop on the way home.  Hubby will never know until I get home.

I did get my touch-up done yesterday.  She charged me $10 more than I had written down at the beginning - not that I have much choice - my white was coming through!  I asked her about it and she said that was the price. Now it isn't 'her', necessarily as it is the store that sets the prices.  I think the store mis-told me when I first asked.  But what else can I do?  Except go totally white - and I'm going to say 'no thanks' to that.

I'm afraid arthritis is really starting to settle in my fingers; especially on my left hand.  They are swollen and really hurting this morning.  Will need to put some voltaren on them to help with the pain.  Too many strawberries yesterday, I guess.

I cooked dinner (tacos) once I got home yesterday and then I just felt totally drained. We went to bed at our usual time and I cannot believe I slept until 6:30AM this morning.  I guess my body needed it.  Hubby asked me how I felt (and don't you day 'FINE'!) - and we decided that perhaps we should stay home from church today.  I really don't know what was going on with me yesterday, but for me to lay down even when hubby was gone, is a rare thing, so you know I wasn't feeling well.  Don't know what it could be; I have only been to the rehab center to see Ms. Diane.  Did I pick up something there?  Today I'm still fighting a mild headache and I'm tired, so I am glad we are staying home. We will watch the service at 10:30AM on You Tube.  I don't even want to see Ms. Diane today or Ms. Vicky - I am afraid that I might have had something and don't want to pass it on.  Ms. Vicky leaves on vacation on Thursday and I do want to see her before she leaves, but may need to wait to see how I'm doing.  Glad we have Labor Day tomorrow and I'm off work - although I still have my gym training, I don't have to work!

Romans 13:11 (NKJV):  And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

As believers, we are to awaken out of our sleep and not be complacent in Christ's absence this day.  We can only see times of Christ's return if we are awake and alert to the signs that are going on around us.  We must be ready for His return as it can happen at any time.

Which makes me think of the question I have shared a few times...... When you realize that Christ has returned and called His saints to heaven, and people have disappeared...... who will you call to see if they are still here.... and will anyone be calling you..... something to think about.

I don't want to be here; I want to be taken up into heaven with the others.  I can only pray that my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will rise into heaven with me. A constant prayer, for sure.  It isn't about 'doing good' while here on earth; it is are we living for Jesus.

Something to think about.

Blessings!
