Kind of frustrating this morning....

My current laptop has what I believe is a swollen battery, which has caused the laptop to start popping apart.  Remember the deal with my work laptop a few months ago?  All they had to do was open it; take the old battery out, put a new one in, and snap it shut again.  Well, this one is a surface pro and I don't think it can be done to it.  But, I love this little laptop.  Small screen, touchscreen, no side pad... perfect for what I use this for.  But I complained.  And my son-in-law wiped his laptop clean and gave to me.  Very kind, very thoughtful.  So I tried setting it up this morning .... and now I've changed my google password a zillion times, jumped through hoops and around corners, and it wouldn't let me get into my son's blog, nor would it bring up mine so that I could type in it.  I am limited on my time in the mornings, as you know, so here I am back on my old laptop.  I'm not so sure the new one will work out, but realize as well that I will need to continue to work on it and set it up, and once I get that done, I will (maybe) be ok with it.  It's all a learning process.  And we all know how much I enjoy learning processes.  Sigh.  So - since I wanted to get this typed, and have one eye on the clock as well, I'm on the old laptop just typing away!  Lucky you!

As I was going through the double password confirmations between my new laptop and my phone, I saw a text from my son that he may be out our way today and to call him after 8AM.  Hot dog!  I may get to see my son today. :-)

Got test results back yesterday from my doctor.  All my labs were great - none of my medications change. And no, I don't take these because I'm 'old'.... well, one may be - my bone one.... but the other two medications I've taken for years - before I 'got old'.  And nothing is changed.  YAY.  But, I need to go redo the mammogram and get an ultrasound.  I'm not afraid or worried.... I've gone through this before.  But even if it is something, I am still not afraid.  I used to have to get ultrasounds every time I got a mammogram, but for the past two-three years, it hasn't been necessary; the mammograms got by.  Oh well - all part of the medical check-up process.  I've rescheduled it already and am on a waitlist for any cancellations to get in sooner than next month.  That info is just to update... and you can say a prayer if you have an inkling to.

I Peter 5:7 (NKJV):  "casting all your cares on Him, for He cares for you."

That scripture has come to mind this morning and I am holding on to it.  Do you ever have those moments when things just feel so overwhelming and you are ready to just sit down and cry, in hopes that it will make you feel better?  No, I'm not there.  But I love this verse for that reason.  Whenever I have been overwhelmed and burdened down, I know that I can always sit down, tell God all my problems, all my fears, all my frustrations ....

and I know that He cares for me, that He loves me, and that although He already knows what is exactly going on with me, He is still listening, still waiting, still right here for me.  And, when I let go and tell Him all that is going on.... I can feel His peace that passeth all understanding flow over me and cover me like a blanket.  It is the best feeling ever, to be wrapped up in God's love and feel His Presence all around me.

So what is bothering you this morning?  What is going on in your life?  Is there something that is gnawing at you, irritating you, making you sad or just feel like you are struggling?  Why not stop right here and take a moment and just pray that God will take whatever that issue is and help you see it through His eyes?

Father, I know I may not be living as You want me to live, and I'm sorry.  I'm not sure if I'm ready to let go of my life and let You in, but right now I am struggling so over this situation and I need help.  I've been told that You are always available, that You still love me in spite of what I have done.  So, I'm going to ask You, if You would help me with this situation.  That You will give me clarity as to what to do. That You will show me who You are.  Please give me the faith to believe.  Here's my problem, Lord, please show me what to do....

Of course you can word it however you want... but if you don't think believe that prayer is just having a conversation with God, you can use that as an example. Some day I pray that you will believe in the One who is above all names, Jesus Christ, our Savior of the world.  God's only begotten Son.  The One who went to the cross for you and for me.  Our Lord.

And, with that - my time is running out.... make today the first day of your life - believe in Him who created you.

Blessings!
