It was the greatest evening in a long time....

I may be feeling exhausted this morning, but it is so worth it!  Back in about 1965 or 1966 I was allowed to go with the other school librarians to see a movie called 'The Sound of Music'.  It was my very first experience in a very elegant theater in downtown Indianapolis.  I was captured by it all.  The movie was so long it even had a 15-30 minute intermission.   We watched it numerous times on TV until it got to the point that when the children saw it was going to be on, they would hide that information from me so that they would not have to watch it again.  (same with the Wizard of Oz!)  The Sound of Music always stirred my heart.

For a belated birthday gift, my youngest son called me a couple weeks ago and asked if I would like to go see it again on the big screen.  A nearby theater was showing it.  Of course I said YES!  Later we talked about going to dinner before the show. Just me and him.  Last night was the night.  He picked me up early and we had a great dinner at Bubba's, which was next to the theater.  (I got the best bacon cheeseburger I had ever tasted!) and french fries; he got a monte cristo sandwich and fries.  BTW, Monday nights any burger is only $10.99 at Bubba's!  After eating we headed to the movie theater.

I was not disappointed.  He had purchased and reserved seats where we had the best seats.   It wasn't long that the movie started and I was once again captured by this movie.  I even mouthed the words through some of the songs (a lady behind us was actually singing them!).  And, there was an intermission, but it lasted only about 5 minutes.  Some got up and left, thinking they would have time - and then missed some of the movie as it came back on fairly quick.  It is such a good, good movie.  And, yes, it is a true story, but it also has a lot of fictional things in it.  A lot.  In fact, if you google 'what year did The Sound of Music come out, you will find many things about the movie that were incorrect from the true story. But that's what sells movies, right?  Not all the bad stuff, but lots of good stuff.  All in all, it was a wonderful movie, I had a very blessed time with my youngest son, and it is an evening I won't forget soon.  Oh - the movie was about 3 hours long.  So glad I skipped the soda and popcorn or I wouldn't have made it all through the movie!

But, getting home, and soon going to bed, my mind would not shut off. But it wasn't just the movie that was on my mind.  As I was clearing some imessages, I noticed one that my lab test results were available. Of course I had to look, expecting them to be good.  There are 9 that are 'out of range'.  Curious I had to go look for them.  A couple didn't really surprise me, but several did.  I may get called back in to the doctor's office.  It was hard to read it all on my phone, and it was late and I was heading to bed, so I plan to bring it up on the computer today and try to print it out so that I can look up what some of the codes mean.  My iron has dropped, which I had suspected, but there were other things that even I am concerned, if these tests are accurate.

Yesterday was extremely busy with scheduling meetings and I didn't even think about taking a lunch.  Well, I did take off for about 45 minutes and got my blood draw done (I was really surprised they already had the results the same day!) and came home and ate a large breakfast, I was so hungry.  Well, to me it was large.  Skipped lunch cause I knew I was going out for dinner.   But it was busy right up to about 4:15 when I shut the computer down. Left things to do this morning.

Our neighbors are heading out for a walk this morning (I can hear them as they leave) and it's nearly 7AM.  I am late getting on here this morning because I kept trying to go back to sleep.  I was not successful, so instead of sleeping I wasted my time and just 'rested'. Sorta. My mind wouldn't shut off. I may have to sneak a nap in today if I need to.  Training tonight so got to get focused there too.

I guess I have bored you plenty today with my ramblings; but now you know what is on my mind.  I'm tired (and hopefully will not be cranky) and I have a lot of work to get done today.  But I did get the two contracts completed yesterday - and I'm just hoping that I did them right.  One of my dozen emails may be in response to that.

Hubby is having breakfast with a friend. I'm working. I have training tonight. Hubby moved his study to tomorrow night as he said he wanted to go workout when I do.  (that is so weird and I don't know why he is doing that. He's never done that before when I have worked out on a Tuesday night.) So he's meeting his friend Wednesday night. He's really being odd lately.  He couldn't remember how to bring up You Tube on the TV Sunday.  And it all is scaring me.  I put Life 360- back on his phone.  He spends his time while I'm out tracking me, I know.  But at least I can tell where he is if he gets lost.  Maybe all this is in my mind, and not in his.  Maybe I should be scared of me. But - it's time for me to get to work so can't think about it or anything else right now.  Got to get to work!

Blessings!
