I finished the book....

Fresh-brewed Life by Nicole Johnson.  I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this book, even with reading small sections every morning.  I may check in to some other books she has written.  I think I saw she has written others.  I learned a lot through this book and I must admit, I am wanting to read it again just to find those places where it made be pause and give it some thought.  It definitely did not end the way I thought it would in my dream world, but I love how it ended.  Let's just say that broken pieces of stained glass can make beautiful hangings in front of windows.   Just like God can take the broken pieces of our lives, the hard times, the tough times to get through, the dark valleys.... and can make them into beautiful pieces, when we let Him.

My trainer definitely worked my biceps and triceps last night and they are letting me know they aren't happy about it.  At one point, when she has having my hands on the bench behind me, a 10 pound weight between my legs, and squatting down and back up, using my triceps to do it, I had to inform her that my butt weighs more than she does and why did she think that I could pick it up?  She was amused, but told me to keep going.  (and I did three sets of 12 - with the weight - and three sets of 12 - without the weight.  I was so sore - I felt like a t-rex!  My arms were floating up into this tiny scrunch and wouldn't move. LOL

Left the gym and drove to meet up with some friends at McAllisters.  Had a fun time visiting with them.  Actually 'ran into' someone we knew when she was a little girl... I'll just say her first name was Charity, and my children may remember her.  Visited with her a few minutes (with her husband) before our friends arrived.  The evening went by quickly and we got home about 7:30-ish, I think.  We just kinda sat down and skimmed our phones before heading to bed shortly after.  Guess who was then wide awake?  Sigh.  Between the diet coke (caffeine) and hubby 'twitching' - I was awake for awhile.  I actually snapped at him one time to please be still!  He has to be touching me and it doesn't matter where that hand in, he twitches and every time he does, it brings me fully awake - until he finally turns over and lets me go to sleep.  So - I overslept an hour this morning - I just couldn't get awake. Oh well.

It was a busy day yesterday, but I survived.  My 'busy' boss was back and sending me emails, as usual. Sigh. I didn't hesitate to shut the computer down at 4PM - well, I had to, I had to be at the gym at 4:30PM, but I wasn't going to give him a chance to send me something to do at the last minute, as he sometimes does.  I have 15 messages this morning so I'm sure some are from him asking me to do something.

Hubby thought he had an infected hair on his hand so went to his medical doctor yesterday who dug in it a bit and then scheduled him to come back on the 28th, I think it is, and he would go in further and cut it out.  He thinks it may be pre-cancerous - but isn't sure, and will cut out and send to the lab then.  My sister in law had several bumps come up on her fingers and hand and thought they were just warts - when she went to her doctor, he cut them off and did biopsies, and said they were cancer.  What is this, a cyst/wart/infected hair epidemic of cancer?  And why is it when I get a bump (granted, it is usually a soft bump) it is called a 'fatty bubble'.  LOL  Just kidding.  I only have one and it came up probably 20 years ago and I was told then it was a 'fat bubble'.  Nice to know, huh?

Interesting, the scripture I inserted yesterday came up today in Bible Gateway.  I did it from memory yesterday, although I didn't put the entire verse.

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV):  Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Take a moment and just pause and read that scripture again.  There is no one like God.  There is none before Him. None that will be after Him.  He is Lord of all; He created us in His image.  He is the Trinity - the Three in One.  In Genesis it says 'let US.....'  - look it up!  Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father were all there in the very beginning, creating the heavens and the earth.  And They are still here today  They haven't gone anywhere.  They still wait for us to acknowledge their existence.  To worship only Them.   Nobody can love you like Jesus does.  Some days that is all I have to hold on to... that Jesus loves me.

"Jesus loves me, this I know! For the Bible tells me so.  Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong!  Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!  Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so!

Did you sing along with the words?  I did. :-)

And with that,  I'll stop... only have a little bit of time left before time to start work and I want to just sit still and listen for His voice.  He does love me, and He does love you.  Always and always.

Blessings!
