We were able to get everything accomplished yesterday that I wanted to - or rather, the majority of it anyway. Got my car worked on; they did a crappy wash job so need to take it to Cobblestone and get it washed correctly..... picked up the combo box, and on a whim, picked up a case of blueberries and a case of sweet cherries. Oh yum. I washed blueberries and put on a cookie sheet in the freezer to freezer; this morning I'll put in bags for our shakes. I removed the pits from one bag of cherries - they are so good. I bagged those and put in the freezer - but I still have several bags of cherries to figure out what to do with. Got a big bag of broccoli, cucumbers, limes, a bag of sweet potatoes, a bag of avocados, and I can't remember what else in the combo box. Fixed steak, baked sweet potato,and steamed broccoli for dinner last night and it was so good!
I took some fruit over to Ms. Diane last night. Haven't been over to see her since we got back. She was in a crabby mood. Gotta love her. Her daughter asked if she ate lunch, she said yes. What did she have? Orange slices, shrimp, and a couple other things. Then her daughter says.... there wasn't any shrimp in the refrigerator and the orange slices are still there as are the other things she mentioned. Busted. She again had sat there all day and ate. She claimed she hate a big bowl of cheerios that morning and wasn't hungry. Then she started in about the caregiver they have coming in... Ms. Diane says she comes in and sits down and eats her own lunch she brings and then asks Ms. Diane.... "Do you need to go pee pee?" LOL That made Ms. Diane furious! She said she was not a child! Her daughter is going toput a camera in the house today to see if what Ms. Diane says about the caregiver is true, that she eats the lunch she brings, then takes a nap on the sofa. Interesting. Gotta love her.
I had planned to take some fruit over to Ms. Vicki along with her birthday gift, which is today, but she didn't answer the door nor my phone calls. I was getting really concerned as I know she has fallen a couple times as well. So with no response by 8PM, I told hubby I was going to go inside to check on her. I have her garage door code, and if her car was there, I'd go in and see if she had fallen or what... but if it was gone, then I'd know she was out. Well, her car was there, so I took a flashlight and we walked through her house, calling out her name. She wasn't there. She had packages on her porch so I brought those in. Finally, I wrote a short note and put on her door into the house from the garage that I had been there checking on her and had brought her packages in. This morning I had a text from 11:21PM last night from her that she and her girlfriend had gone to Harrah's for a few days - sorry she hadn'tlet me know. I would have known if I had taken the time to call her earlier in the week when we got back, but I didn't. I think she will be back today so perhaps I'll do a short visit tonight.
Today is going to be a pain. Liquids only today. I just might get hungry. But, liquids only. Then I think it is about 8PM I get to drink this wonderful sickening stuff for two hours; 1/2 a gallon of it. Then at 3:30AM I get to drink the rest. Lord help!
I went to the gym this morning and I got a choice - work on biceps and chest or do legs today. DUH. Biceps; I need my legs to be able to get tot he bathroom once that crappy stuff starts working!
Housecleaners are coming this morning and I need to pick up some things.
Why is my computer acting weird this morning.... I can type out a sentence and then it disappears. sigh.
Need to 'run' - need to be at the surgery center at 7:30AM so may not have time to write in here... I will be 'otherwise occupied'. Whatever.
