It has been a busy morning

and I'm surprised I haven't gotten a text that I'm 'late'.... again.  Honestly, it did slip my mind a bit but yet, here I am.  See, you can survive. :-)

My morning started out with 7AM at training - we did shoulders this morning. And since I don't have any shoulders, have to work hard to build them up.  I kid you not. I can buy a very nice blouse/top - only for it not to fit too well because I don't have shoulders to hold it in place. Ok, that may be pushing the description a bit, but you get the jest.

Just got a phone call from one of the leaders at a RV park to confirm my speaking engagements this next season. He had sent me an email - and it was then I realized that I hadn't got on my personal computer at all this morning.  Didn't check emails, bank balance, or blogs.  Not even my son's blog!  I will do that as soon as I get off here.  In fact, that reminds me. I saw a text from him last night and I don't remember exactly what it said - something about missing a post - and when I went back to find it - his message was gone and I have no clue what it was about.  Maybe he was telling me last night that I was going to miss inputting a post this morning.

Found out yesterday my little brother is in the hospital with a broken ankle. I did call him last night and we talked a bit; and from his text to FB this morning it sounds like he will be in there for a few days. There is no way his wife can take care of him with a(nother) broken ankle with her health issues.  At times like this, I wish I was where I could go back and help my family with their health issues.

And my brother in law - his cancer has now spread to his hips (from his back) so I'm sure he is feeling pretty depressed at this moment.  Chemo is now two times a week versus once a month.  It's been 7 years since he was first diagnosed.

Work hasn't been too bad yet today even though my male boss is back at work. He's given me a couple things, but I've been able to complete them easily enough.  Hubby has an eye dr appointment at 1PM and he has to go downtown so I'll have about 3 hours without him here. I do not have to go with him to the eye doctor; his eyes are not the medical issue.  Overall, he is doing fine.  What we can't see, we can't form an opinion about because he isn't feeling any pain or discomfort in those areas.  We just need to find out what is going on so that we CAN take care of them.  I'm sure he is going to be fine.  The oncologist appointment is next Monday, at which we will insist (as if we can) he be ordered a PET scan to determine where the inflammation is in his kidneys and liver.

We did stay home from church due to all the rain and watch it online.  We also did make the drive over to the youngest son's for the 'birthday party' before they left on a two week trip.  Took over a box that he will be delivering to my little sister - save me on postage. Some is stuff she sent me that I really don't want nor need, the rest are things that I'm sending her just because.  I thought about sending some baked goods, but with not knowing for sure when they would arrive, I chose not to. I can bake and ship and know it will be there in 3 days (or hopefully 2).  Depends if our wonderful postal service will send it to Philadelphia or Miami before they send to Indianapolis and then to the small town my sister lives in.

I think I told you that I set myself up to do 50 squats a day - and I am proud to say I just finished my one week mark of every day doing 50 squats. Why am I doing it?  Because I want to stay limber in the hips and strong in the legs and that is one thing that helps.  No contest, no one doing it with me, it's just me and my wanting to stay limber, strong, and healthy.  What are you doing today to help you stay strong and healthy?

Hubby gave me his list of doctor appointments for me to put on the electronic calendar this morning. Most were already on there.  I did find a couple more that I am going to have to take off work and go to.  In fact, I think it is the 29th (would have to check to be sure ) that he has two appointments I need to go to - so I may take the day off work.  Missing a couple hours is one thing, but when I have to miss 4-5, that is something else. I can't do that. Granted, I'm losing a day of PTO by taking it off and spending it in doctor offices, but, we don't go anywhere anyway.  Other than the holidays, any time I take off will be for his doctor appointments or getting the grand/great grandchildren here to bake cookies.  Probably starting the first part of December. My favorite time of year.  Christmas.

Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV):  For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Some people have heard that verse so many times they just roll their eyes and groan.  But have you ever really stopped and read the words?  The Lord knows the plans He has for you - and yet, He allows you the free choice of making your own decisions.  Before we were born, He knew us in the womb of our mother.  He has His plans for us - and so many times we throw His plans away and go after our own.  I wish I had followed His plans for me a long time ago.  I'm still working on trying to get back on track.   (after reading these books on Revelation, I want to be taken up in the Rapture - I don't want to have to go through the Tribulation - it will be brutal!).

Have you ever really just sat down and thought about what God's plans may have been for you?  You may be surprised if you look back over your life and see where His hand has been, trying to guide you where He wants you - and yet, you walked away to your own music.  Something to think about anyway.

And with that - I need to get back to work as I am making up my time for coming in late this morning. I could work until 5PM - but who wants to?  I'm so used to getting off at 4PM - working until 5PM (if I don't have to) seems like a drudgery. :-)

Enjoy the rest of the day - I'll try to get back on track tomorrow!

Blessings!
