Sometimes God allows 'stupid stuff'

I am so embarrassed.  But I tell myself that sometimes God allows me to do stupid things to keep me humble.  My daughter laughed. I was and am mortified at what I did.  And yet, it really isn't a bad thing. Sorta.  What did I do?

The day before yesterday I had put some money in my purse, the zippered section in the middle. Now mind you, I don't use cash often (as least not as much as I should) but need to keep some with me in case I need it.  The other day I went to the gym and I usually take my small purse.  They put it under the counter when I come in, and give it back to me when I'm finished.  Well, yesterday, I went to get into my purse and the $ wasn't there.  I knew I hadn't used any cash so I couldn't have accidentally pulled it out.  All I could think of was that someone had taken it at the gym. Somehow had gotten into the 'pit' and got into the cabinet - in front of everyone.  (Yeah, my mind was doing the stupid thing).  I debated for awhile, then finally contacted my trainer and told her I was missing the money.  We went back and forth on possibilities and the head trainer pulled the camera footage to review the timeframe I was there.  And just when they were doing that..... yep.  I found the $ where I had placed it.  Now I remember distinctly getting the money, folding it and putting it into the zippered section of my purse.  I do not remember taking it right back out and putting in an envelope instead.  And laying it down elsewhere.  I immediately let my trainer know that I found it - it hadn't been taken.  The camera film had already been viewed and it was discovered no one had come near that cabinet.  Well, duh.  I am so embarrassed. I'm glad I have a 6:30AM appointment today because none of the trainers will be in but mine.  Of course I'm sure no one knows but the head trainer and a manager.  All I can say is that sometimes God allows me to do stupid things to keep me humble.  Sigh.  I just wish it wouldn't be such an embarrassment in that I will have to face them all today!  Well, the next time after today.  I am mortified that someone knows my stupidity.  Of course, here I am, telling you exactly that.

And I believe that God also allows me to do stupid things to teach me lessons, and also to distract me from things.  I will share some things about that statement another time.

Yeah - I didn't think I'd write in here today, but my mind is so befuddled that when I read I can't understand what I'm reading.  Plus I need to stop in about 15 minutes to get dressed and ready to head to the gym.  6:30AM is awfully early to go to the gym for a HIIT session, and I was willing to cancel it, but Morgan's grandmother died and the funeral is today and she is taking off work early.  She said she needs the money from the training as she will be taking time off after the baby comes in a few weeks and won't have any income but her husband's. So - 6:30AM it is. Grateful it is early (see, God knew I didn't want to show my face to everyone just yet) as no other trainer will be there.

But then, I also have to, from the gym, head on over to Wildflower where I meet my favorite boss for our 'Admin meeting'.  Which reminds me, I need to put an 'out of office' on the work computer before I leave.  I may take my computer with me; or not. Still haven't decided. I'll be there about 30 minutes before my boss usually is.  And that's ok.  Not taking her anything today; haven't really baked a lot to give away.  Our next 'Admin meeting' is December 23 and we both took the day off so that we don't have to rush for time.  Then is when I will be bringing her all the Christmas goodies I give her.  They get together on Christmas eve with their family and with meeting the day before, things will still be fresh.  We will be getting together also on, I think, December 5th for our annual 'Christmas Idea House' visit.  It scares me to think that soon I will not be able to drive that far to meet up with her, as I need to drive to Mesa.

What has age to do with it?  A lot.  Not in mobility, but in ability.  I'm healthy and clear-minded (at times) now, but a year can make a lot of difference.  I am thinking I need to start eating more healthy and cut out processed foods as I know that will help keep the mind clear without me putting all the junk in my body that they add to food.  We are what we eat and drink.  And that's a true statement as far as your health, I think.  I eat a lot of junk food and I feel terrible.  Yet I keep eating. What's up with that?  I've eaten way too much chocolate candy lately.  Seriously.  I'm glad the jar is down to the last 6-7 pieces. Every day I think I will be 'good' and not eat junk - and there I go.  Lord HELP.

And with that - I know this is short, but hey, wasn't planning on writing anyway.  Have a headache this morning and even my BP is up - and I did it twice and it didn't go down.  I guess it is all that 'stuff' that is filtering and running around rampant in my head that is doing it.  Working out will help that some. Meeting with my boss/friend will help a lot.  Then back home to work.

I think hubby is meeting his bible study guy tonight; they cancelled last night.  That would give me an evening for 'me'.  I need to start wrapping these gifts in here - I brought some out of the closet yesterday and put on the bed - oh my - my good intentions have failed me again.  Sigh.

Gotta go.  Have an awesome day. Watch for the 'stupid stuff'!

Blessings!
