Today is 'weigh-in Wednesday'. Again. I had to read the original notice to determine how much longer I had to be semi-good at eating. (notice I didn't say exercise, that went by the way side a long time ago). I weigh in today - and it appears that next Wednesday is the last weigh-in. YEA!!
I have to confess that I haven't been faithful to any diet, nor have I consistently exercised during this time frame. I've tried to watch what I have been eating. But, sometimes, like when there is chips and green salsa or chips and white girl salsa, well, you just gotta give in and have some! Oh, and let's not forget the potato chips and dip I got into on Monday as well. Sigh. I did leave the bun off the hamburger I ate - does that count?
It's still about an hour before I can go weigh in. I got on my scale this morning at home without clothes and I was below 150 - but now with clothes on, who knows what it will be. As a rule, on Wednesdays I try to wear my lightest clothes to weigh in. Will see if I can come in below last week. I hope so!
It will be fun to hear how my middle child does on his weigh in this morning at the gym. He finally met his original goal last week. But the holidays do take a toll on us all, so we shall see. Hopefully we both can celebrate a loss again this week.
This is short today as I must start work. We simply must get more help here at work. I worked nearly 12 hours straight through yesterday - didn't take breaks and ate lunch at my desk. Work is overwhelming. Another coworker on my team worked 11 hours at work, then went home and got on the computer again, working until she had problems with the system. She puts in close to 30 hrs overtime a week. She is also gone this Friday through next Tuesday and I have no idea who they are going to get in her place as I do not know how to do the authorizations she does. She is trying to get them caught up - but still, we have lots to do.
We have amazing employees who work very hard, and we have those that are only 8-5 and they are out of here. Oh, and they still take their breaks and lunch hours. Plus a lot of socializing. They just don't care. I know there are people out there who would work; I wish the company would remove the freeze and let us hire them!
Oh - on the person I mentioned yesterday who I expected to call in and take disability? She showed up yesterday with her ankle bandaged and her arm in a bandage. Now she limped a little, but if one has a sprained ankle, wouldn't it be very difficult to walk on it? Especially if you weigh 350 pounds? Of course with her arm bandaged up (she had one of those wrap things you can buy over the counter for sprained wrists) she can't do as much work. So yesterday morning she sat at her desk and worked on flyers for something. But she did show up. And low and behold, here she is today! Yes, it is early, but she also gets up and leaves early.
And with that, I have to get busy - too much work to do. I don't mind occasional overtime to bring things up to date, but every night is tough. Got home at 8PM last night. I'm here between 6:30 and 7:00 every morning. Does make for a long, long, day.
Hope yours is a good one!
Blessings!
