What is going on with me?

Mental exhaustion, perhaps?  I don't know.... we went to bed around 9PM last night - and I stayed at home (no girls night out), and crochet'd.  Watched a little bit of 'Matthew' on my kindle fire (I didn't give TV/movies up, just don't want to tempt hubby because he did.  And he's actually done very well.  Other than asking about a movie the other night, he has not mentioned it at all.) and shut it off just before I knew hubby would be home.  Yesterday was extremely busy with work - as it has been lately.  I don't know... but why am I going on about all that?

I/we slept until 5AM this morning (I must have turned off my alarm), and when I came in here, I fell back to sleep for awhile!  I don't have much time left to write in here, but hey, I can be late to work once in awhile, right?  Don't really have much to share; I have the gym tonight and then we are planning on going to church for the prayer meeting.

Part of my Joann's order came in.  Yes, I used my gift card and ordered online.  I get frustrated sometimes with long lines so decided that I would just order what I want online.  Got some yarn and some material.  The material has arrived; the yarn has not.  It will be here soon.  Grateful for the card; and grateful I can use it from home.  I'm more selective when I look online and am not distracted with all the other things around me.

I did a quick run to Michael's after work last night - forgot about that - and used the gift card I had for that.  Michael's prices and arrangements of things are not what they used to be - at least not at this store. I did pick up a couple skeins of yarn, then a few other things that I really didn't need, but decided to use them to make a gift with.

Still have my Visa cards I got from two grandsons and I can use them anywhere.  Some time there will be something I want and I can just go get it - and that's a very good thing.  You know me and my books!  Hubby still needs to do a B&N run as he got a book from his friend at Christmas that he already has and they gave him the receipt to return it - and he got a B&N gift card for Christmas.  I keep 'nagging' at him he needs to go before it is too late to return the book.  Maybe I can get him to go today.  Wish I could go too - but after all, I DO work...

I  read an interesting scripture in my Passion Translation bible this morning.  I had to stop and pause and ask myself if I do that.  I hope that I do not, and if I do, I hope that someone would call me out on it.  Some others did come to mind, but, that is not my concern.  I am my concern.

Matthew 23:7 (TPT):  "And how they love to be admired by men with their titles of respect, aspiring to be recognized in public, and have others call them Reverend."

I usually try to keep it quiet.  I think.  I don't bring it up unless there is a situation that warrants it.  For example, when I went to pick up the employee's equipment from the sisters after he died, as they shared the issues they were having with the son; couldn't get him to pick up the ashes or arrange anything, I did tell them that if they just needed a service to have closure for them (they lived right next door to the brother), I was an ordained minister and I would be happy to conduct a small service in their home so that they could have closure.  They were grateful and took my information, and we agreed it would need to be after the holidays.  I have heard nothing from them, and I will not contact them.  I gave them my information.  If they want it, they can get in touch with me.

As I close this off (gasp! it's 7AM!)  just to update - saw my oral surgeon yesteday for the post op and he says I'm doing great.  He explained it was a splintered root, he's pretty sure.  He cut into the gum and detached it from the original root, then filled in the gap with bone plasma so that the tooth would remain set.  He checked it yesterday and thus far all is ok.  It's still a bit swollen and I can tell he worked on it, but no pain, for which I'm grateful.  He said he was trying to save that tooth and not leave yet another hole in my mouth.  I would have to get an implant there and that's quite a bit more money. Which is why I opted not to get one for the bottom the other year.

And with that - I'm off here - late for work by two minutes!  OOPS.  Oh well.  My computer is on, it just shows that I'm 'away'.  Besides none of my bosses are working at 7AM.  But they do work until 5PM and I know I have several messages from last night.

Have a great day.  Enjoy the beauty and in our neck of the woods, the warmth that is slowly returning to our area.

Blessings!
