It's the middle of October - how did that happen? It seems like this year is just shooting by and I can't stop it! Some days I don't want to! It's like the saying (somewhat) stop the world I want to get off! Or something like that.
Today is another grandson's 18th birthday - how do they grow up so fast! I probably won't see him until Christmas when his dad brings he and his brother down for the holiday. They are also planning a baby shower foo the oldest (grand)son's girlfriend. Seems we will have a new great-granddaughter come February, I think - or is it January. I dunno. From what I see on FB she and the grandson are extremely immature and hvae no clue what is going on, the responsibility that awaits them. They just don't have a clue.
I awoke around 2:45AM this morning and told myself uh uh you ain't getting up! And I didn't - then. I finally got up at 3:45AM cause I couldn't go back to sleep. I love it when I get up early and have a little extra time to myself - but 2:45AM is a bit more early than I wanted to get up. Plus the fact that my bedroom clock - though electric - is acting weird. It will gain an avreage of 5 minutes a day - yes, I said gain. I didn't catch it until the other day with it was 45 minutes ahead of when I had planned to get up!
It was a busy weekend, somewhat. We have Sheeba, our German Shepherd, in obedience training. She is training us well, I think. Oh, we have gotten her to obey a few things, but at 7 months and 66 pounds, she is trying our patience quite well - and she is not fully grown. She is definitely strong. I did take her for a walk on Saturday. Or did she take me. Actually she didn't do too bad and stayed close.
This weekend we are heading up north - I'm speaking at a women's tea at a former church. Of course hubby wants us there for the weekend - so I just let him pull together the hotel, etc. I get to pay for Sheeba being in the pet hotel for two days. That's not too bad.
Not much else going on. I'm thinking of getting a new laptop. The current one I have I constantly have problems with it. Thinking of letting my son strip it and fix it up for one of his boys if they want it. Need to get things done and it won't work for me.
