and actually my last 'free' Saturday until I start work on Monday! Already have a busy weekend lined up. Last night we had UFO at church. Well, it is actually UnFinished Objects - which means we ladies bring projects we are working on that haven't been finished, sit around and work on them and chat. It was fun and I got a lot completed on the quilt for the great granddaughter for Christmas.
This morning I was up early and heading to Tempe to meet my girlfriend for our monthly walk around ASU. We do our brisk walk - usually about 3 miles - and then head to Einstein's Bagels for breakfast. Sit around and chat for an hour or so then head our separate ways. I've been home for a little while but will be leaving shortly for a Ladies Tea. After the Tea I will need to work on a few things before tomorrow's 'stuff'.
Tomorrow we will be up early to head to Prescott Valley with another friend and go to church up there. After church and lunch we will head back to Phoenix for a friend's birthday party at 4PM. Then we have a leadership meeting at church from 5-7PM. After that we will probably just chill out.
Then Monday - I get to start my new job! I'm really excited about starting this new career. No, I haven't done this job before but am looking forward to learning a lot of new things. Some things will be a refresher course, I'm sure, but every company does things a little differently. I'm excited about working again.
As soon as we come up with a team name, my friend Sue, my son Stuart, my hubby Tom, myself, and perhaps my daughter Mary will be signing up for The Color Run in January. I didn't want to sign up until I got a job - so here we are. I didn't know hubby would decide to do it as well or I would have signed up with I had a coupon for $29. Now it is $40 each. Could have saved myself some money. Oh well, it's only money, right?
It is another beautiful Saturday in Phoenix. It looks pretty cold most other places - glad we live out here!
Not much to say and I need to get my sandwiches made for the tea party. Hope you have a good day.
