Yes, I know I'm late....but here it is

I got up at 3AM this morning to do my time with 'We Pray All Day' - which is a group of people all over the valley who schedule an hour to pray (our church does twice a month) for lots of things.  It was a real struggle to get up because we didn't get to bed until nearly 10PM last night.  And, it was a struggle to keep awake, but I did. But at 4AM and I climbed in my chair and curled up in it for my readings.... I started dozing.  And I have dozed off and on ever since.  I'm still really sleepy, but here it is time for me to 'get to work'.  And I haven't written in here.  I knew someone would keep checking - and I might even get a text about it - so thought I'd go ahead and write. :-)  Albeit will be short.

Yesterday was another busy, stressful day but I got through it.  Then I had my hour session at the gym - and my body is telling me I worked out.  From there it was on to church for prayer meeting.  Back home we sat down for a bit... I did the scroll and Facebook; hubby fell asleep in his chair.... which is why it was 9:45PM before I realized it .... and that is why I try to stay off Facebook entirely.  I waste too much time looking at things that have nothing to do with me.

Not sure yet what today will look like for work; I know I have several emails showing and I did see I had a couple tasks to take care of.  Oh well.  It is what it is.  One day at a time, right?

Psalm 139: 23-24 (NKJV):  Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

At one time I had memorized Psalm 139 but most of it escapes me now.  But this is one of the scriptures that I do remember and I pray it frequently.   Sometimes we need to pause in our life and ask God to search our hearts to make sure we are on the right path, the one that He wants us to be walking on.  Sometimes it is so easy to stray and just go a little off.... and when we ask God, He will reveal to us if we perhaps spoke a cross word to someone and need to apologize; did something we shouldn't have done; ignored someone instead of embracing them.... we all do them.  It helps when we ask God to keep us on His path.  He knows us better than we know ourselves.  Even in my stressful days and I cry out 'Lord HELP', he gives me calmness and peace.  Hallelujah!

There is another one I pray even more frequently.  But it's from Psalm 51.  Maybe I'll share my thoughts on it tomorrow.  Today I need to keep this short and get on the computer for work.  It's up and ready for me to work.... I just haven't got over there yet.

Tonight we take the grandson out to dinner for his birthday.  Looking forward to hanging out with him, even if it is just for an hour or so.  I love ALL my grandchildren.  Which reminds me, a granddaughter has set up a messenger for kids account for our great-granddaughter.  So looking forward to occasionally chatting with her.  I bet her grandma will be doing it daily!  LOL  I would be!  I love keeping in touch with my grandchildren - great-grandchildren are just a bonus from God.

And with that -sorry this is so short - but I got to get to work.  Duty calls, ya know.  So with that - have a blessed day!

Blessings!

This may be short today..... or not...

I've dilly-dallied around this morning and am just now getting to putting something in here - and I have about 20 minutes.  What can I do in twenty minutes?  Well - let's just see!

Hubby has left for his Bible study this morning with his friends.  He will be gone a few hours.  I love this time in the morning, as you know.  Of course I still have to work - but love just being alone and I can talk out loud if I want, I can go grab a couple weights and do a set or two.  I can do anything I want.  Oh, and I can work too. Yeah.  He says he will come home, and change clothes and go back to the gym.  Yeah, we'll see.  I told him to take his clothes with him and change there, but he didn't want to.  His choice.  Extra driving.  I'm staying out of it.

I think I'm about ready for Sunday's message.  I am speaking at the RV park here in town and I'm talking about our outlook - for last year, for this year - and how do we look at ourselves.  Sometimes we don't like people because of their behavior, or because of something they said.... but until we know WHY they behaved that way, or said what they did, who are we to form an opinion about them at all?  I mean, if you have someone who snaps at you, rather than getting angry at them and (I know, I need to hear my own words!) and perhaps retorting back..... stop and think about what could have triggered that.  The other day hubby came in out of the blue and snapped at me about something.  I don't even remember what it was now.  But I looked at him and told him there was no reason to speak to me in that tone of voice.  He paused, and said what he said before, but in a nicer tone.  And then later, he came back and apologized for snapping the way he did - and explained that he had been frustrated about something - that had nothing to do with me in the first place!

Today is Friday and although it has been a short week (4-day) as far as work, I'm glad it is nearly over for I have been kept busy most of the time.  In fact, last night I remembered a meeting I was supposed to schedule - and I think I forgot it.  I'll check first thing to see if I did schedule the meeting.... but had so many meetings to create, I think I forgot that one.  Oh well.  Will do it this morning.  Glad this week is nearly over.

Tomorrow is Needles of Hope when my friends and I meet to crochet or knit for a few hours.  We didn't meet last month so it's been two months since I've seen some of them.  Looking forward to time away in a different location to catch up with friends and relax and crochet.  I finished up two projects last night - a baby blanket and an afghan.  I donate the blanket; the afghan goes up in the closet for whenever I need a gift for someone.  Maybe.  I don't put much value on what I make as I don't think I'm that good at it, but I do like to have something on hand if I need to give someone a gift.

Want to finish getting our Christmas things put away this weekend too.  And our fast begins on Sunday.  Hubby has already said that he is not going to start until after Monday's football game.  Or is it Sunday's.  Afterall, giving up TV is a big decision for him.  I'm personally excited. LOL

Romans 8:28 (NKJV):  "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

That is the scripture that came to mind as I paused to think what to put next.  Is hubby giving up his TV watching for MY good?  Yep.  Now it isn't that I'm so against the TV, I'm not.  I just enjoy the quiet evening as I am on the computer all day.  Last night hubby watched the news and then asked - 'do you want to watch a movie?' and I said 'no'.  I heard him make a noise.... and turned off the TV.  And I got to finish a book, and complete two crochet projects.  A win-win for me, right?  It didn't hurt him a bit and he actually did pick up a book and read a little in it as well, instead of 'reading' his phone all evening and listening to all that garbage.

Uh oh - five minutes - gotta jump off and get the computer up and running.  I told you this may be short!  Hope you have a good day!

Blessings!

Waking up is so hard to do...

Yep - it has again been one of 'those mornings' in which I cannot stay awake.  We did go to bed around 9:30PM - and I did get up about 4:15AM... but the body just would not stay awake.  I fell asleep several tiems reading my Bible.. then purposely, and here I am trying to type in here - and see that the time is after 6AM so I must stay awake and get this finished.  I think I am really needing a vacation... but the problem with that is ... if I sleep late...  ah... never mind.  Memorial Day is my next 'holiday' off.

This week (I hope) should be fairly light.  My favorite boss is speaking at a conference today and tomorrow; then she is flying to NJ to bury her father's ashes (from January's celebration of life).  So she will be out all week.  My other big boss is working today, but then is off the rest of the week.  Another person I support is off today, but back tomorrow.  That leaves one person... for today.  Maybe I can sneak a nap in?  Hopefully no one will give me a task I don't really want to do.

Church was good yesterday and then we ran over to the daughter's for burgers and chips for lunch.  Didn't stay long; came home and Ms. Vicky text'd and asked if I could sew a strap back on to her swimming suit - so i went over there and visited for a little bit.  While there, Ms. Amy called and said that she plans to call Cox first thing this morning to get them out here to fix that TV.  Her daughters arrive tomorrow sometime.  I haven't been over to see Ms. Diane for a few weeks; probably should try to get over there tonight and visit for a bit.

Finally made it over to Nordstrum Rack on Saturday to use up the gift card my one boss had given me for admin professional day.  He and his wife may shop at those places, but I don't... and once I was in there, I knew why.  Yeah... I know it is probably worth it and if I bought the material and made it, would probably spend as much... BUT....  this is why I wear a lot of t-shirts...  don't remember what the 'originial price' was, but sleeveless blouses - I ended up getting three and a  pair of shorts - all were $24.99 EACH.  Can you even imagine?!  I can get the same thing at Wallymart (as my son calls it) for less than $10 each as a rule!  Yeah... I'm used to paying less and feeling like I got a bargain.  But, I used the gift card and got some nice tops and a pair of shorts (didn't try on so hope they fit!) for when we go 'out' and I need something nicer than a t-shirt.  Three + years of living in t-shirts and jeans, except for Sundays, I'm too comfortable to wear 'dress shirts' during the week. LOL  Unless I meet my boss... but these are sleeveless, and I always have to take a sweater... yeah... I'm always cold.  But the positive is, I never would have walked in to the store (probably) if I didn't have a gift card and actually, lately I had been telling hubby I ought to stop in and see what was there.  It took me over an hour to find the tops and shorts that I was willing to pay for.  Shoes - I looked at shoes - and they were $79.99!!  Are you kidding me??  And I saw people loading up their carts with things!  I should have followed them to see if they found a clearance table that I hadn't found.  But my mission was accomplished; I did use up the gift card.

Well, I guess you lucked out today... I've sat here for three minutes and I am drawing a blank as to what to write about.  No scripture has popped into my mind to share.

Please pray for a granddaughter today... for grace....

Blessings!
