It's Needles day!

Yep - it is the first Saturday of the month and I get to meet up with girlfriends to crochet, have coffee, and chat.  I enjoy the time away from home and getting to hear other people share.  It's always a fun time.  I used to get a bagel or a breakfast sandwich, but with my Virta, can't do that. Well, I suppose I could...  I'll see how hungry I am when I get there.  I fixed taco soup last night for dinner - and still lost 1/2 pound since yesterday morning!

Remember when I mentioned about my telling Morgan (I think I shared it) that I wanted to get this body toned?  We're going to New Mexico over the 4th of July and I want this body toned.  Hubby had said he was going to tell Morgan the same thing.  LOL. Morgan tells me that he comes in and tells her he wants his stomach area toned down (don't we all!!).  She looks at him and tells him that they are doing core work - and that is what working the core does, it works on the stomach area.  He apparently wasn't making the connection that core is not only the center of one's body, but it affects the rest. He thought it was just for his balance - which is true, core work will keep you standing up!  But it also works on other parts of the body to strengthen and reduce it.  What drives me nuts is that I know he has known that.  After all these years of working out, you know that he knows that.  But he didn't remember the connection.

I was able to get over and visit Ms. Vicky last night and will try to get over to see Ms. Diane this afternoon.  I also need to make a run to the grocery store and pick up some things.  Even my freezer is nearly depleted.  Not for lack of funds, just not going to the store - and stocking up.  It's easy to order online for Frys - but I don't pick up everything cause I want to pick out my own meat, not them do it for me. Know what I mean?  Overall, I haven't been disappointed with their gathering my groceries, but meat is entirely different, I think.

Yesterday was a busy day with work and I shut down the computer at 3:53PM cause I was not going to get a last minute meeting from someone.  Another person sent me an impossible meeting to schedule with difficult calendars at 3:35.  I did try to get it done, and did send a hold - but had to go out 6 weeks, which didn't make him happy.  Too bad, so sad.  I don't support him, he's not a senior director.  I help because I'm nice. cough cough.

Romans 12:9-21 (NKJV):  Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.  Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another.  Do not set your mind on high things but associate with the humble.  Do not be wise in your own opinion.  Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peacefully with all men.  Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.  Therefore "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head."  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Strong words, you think?  And yet, they aren't.  But they are the way a Christian should act.  Yes, I probably fail in this more times than not.  But I keep praying that God will give me the wisdom of Solomon on how to deal with people and certain issues.  Do not be wise in your own opinion.  How many times do we have 'discussions' with our spouse because we think we are wiser than what they are thinking?  How many times do we try to act like we know more than we really do.  We.know.nothing.  Only God knows all, and He is the One who distributes wisdom.  So let us be careful of how much we think we know (or don't know) and allow others to speak.  After all, what is that saying?  'It is better to be thought a fool rather than opening the mouth and proving it'?  I've done my share of making a fool of myself, and I'm sure you have as well.

And with that, I need to jump off here and get ready to head out this morning.  Need to make a couple stops on the way home as well.

Hope you have an amazing day!

Blessings!
