I can not believe how much work there is for me to do! I was here again until 8PM last night - working straight through from 7:30AM. Of course this time there were three nurses sending me work, not just one. I succeeded in getting all that out, but had to neglect another part of my job. I must attack it first thing this morning before the other starts in again. One thing about it, this ensures job security, I think. I finally did 'win' on one account - I am to get a temp to help me. That in itself is exciting, for I know that when I am really busy I tend to make mistakes. I'm probably harder on myself than anyone when I make those mistakes, for they are things that shouldn't happen - but they do. Yesterday I called 28 people; some 2-3 times, leaving messages or actually getting to talk with them, plus printing letters, doing notations in the system, and sending out fed ex. My arms are still tired from all the typing, calling, etc. It may not seem like much over a 12.5 hour period, but it is. I'm really glad I'm getting some help.
Today is already full - I have 18 admits facing me this morning - and that is just what I didn't get done yesterday. But, I came in early so I could write a bit here and then jump on over and start working.
I actually can think of a few things to share, but I do need to get things going and get busy. But for now, I think I will eat my oatmeal, drink my tea, and get busy. Others are starting to come in and start talking so it's hard to keep my thinking process going.
Planning to leave by 5:30PM tonight - have dinner plans with another couple at Sizzler. Crossing my fingers that I won't have to stay; and that I won't have to get back on the computer at home if I do leave when I want. I do have that advantage; I can work from home if I need to.
Wow - I'm already getting interrupted so must stop. Hopefully soon I can get back into writing again.
