A slight change in plans

happened yesterday afternoon when a thought entered my mind and I acted on it.  I know that a granddaughter-in-law is expecting with a due date of May 1st.  It's getting close to that time.  We were to go on Jailbreak April 24-27.  My daughter informed me the other night that if the GIL went into labor, she and her hubby would be heading to another state.  And, if she was on Jailbreak, he would drive up to where we were and pick her up, leaving his vehicle for us to use and then head back home as they went on.  Well, the thought occurred to me that I didn't really want my daughter to miss out on Jailbreak.  That was when it was started, for she and I to have some quality time together, along with her daughter and granddaughter.  Well, as I pondered that thought, I text'd my daughter and told her what I was thinking.  I included my granddaughter as she has a voice in this too.

Long story short, we have cancelled our Jailbreak Getaway for next week and have moved it to May 29-June 1, at the same location.  The plus is that there is a trail that is closed until May, and now we will be able to hike it, and because it is child friendly, our littlest one can also hike it.  Now to decide what I am going to do.  But I think I have come up with a plan.

We will still take off Sunday and head south.  I did send our granddaughter information on our time there and asked her to discuss with hubby and let us know what will work best for them, even if we just stop by and visit for a short while.  My whole purpose in going south is to see her and her little family.  We will still leave after lunch on Easter and head down to the hotel.  We will return home early afternoon on Tuesday.  Just a couple days from home.

I have Wednesday lined up for me - maybe having lunch with a friend and getting my hair trimmed at 12:30PM.  Thursday we were to leave for Jailbreak.  But now... I think I am going to cancel my two days off.  Part of me says to just go ahead and take it - but why?  So I think I will cancel them and work.  After all, my favorite boss, and my male boss, will both be on PTO Thursday and Friday.  I will be able to get caught up on things with work - and have 'easy peasy' days - providing my other two 'bosses' don't take advantage of them being gone and giving me a lot to do!  So that's what I am currently planning to do. Just take Monday - Wednesday off next week.

Morgan, my trainer, came up with a workout that I was able to master last night.  It was tough!  But she high-fived me afterwards for she thought I could do it - and I proved I could!  One was this medal bar you step into, with weights on both sides.  25 squats holding this 60 pounds thing up, then walking several feet, turning around, coming back, all the while still carrying it.  Then a weighted bar was put across my shoulders and I had to do walking lunges - about 12 each way.  Then it was the tire.  You've seen them.  The huge tractor tires.  I got to pick it up and flip it down the row and back.  And in the middle of that, stop and do 25 squats.  Three sets of all that - and I did it!  About 2AM my body started reminding me that I did it.

Yeah, I've been awake for awhile. I finally got up about 3AM, I think.  I tried to sleep in here, but could not so got some reading done.  Since I'm way ahead of myself, I have a little extra time this morning.  Hubby didn't get up until around 5AM and brought my coffee.  I may need two cups again today. I know I've been buried in scheduling meetings and I have a couple in my emails this morning to work on.  Oh well.

I Corinthians 1:18 (NKJV):  For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

For those of you who do not believe in the power of God, I am so sorry.  I pray for you, that you will see His power and His glory, and will turn to Him.  That you will know how loved you are by Him.  That you will see how foolish the things of the world are, and that you will choose Jesus over the world.  These things will pass away, but His love never does.  He loves you so much, He reaches out to you in numerous way.  We often choose not to see them, because we don't want to be challenged in our lives.  We all do it.  But those who don't know Him, or choose not to follow Him, my heart breaks for you.  Do you even realize how much better your life would be if you turned to Jesus?  Not only for yourself, but for your spouse, your family?  Jesus is all you need.  His power will give you all you need.

I will be talking with my little sister sometime this morning, I imagine.  She text'd late last night that they had seen Part 3 of The Chosen.  She was caught up in the emotion of it, as I had been.  I have already pre-ordered the dvd of season 5.  Hubby and I are - at some point - start watching from the beginning again.  I haven't really gotten 'into' The Chosen - mainly because my sister was pushing it on me and I rebelled.  But it is good and does make you think about your life.

And with that, I'm going to get off here and head to the shower.  The week's almost over and then I'll have time off work.  Woo hoo!  Have an amazingly blessed day!

Blessings!
