Yes, I know I'm late.... but at least I'm writing!

It's been a busy morning.  Got up at my usual time, had a couple hours of my time reading and praying, and then I needed to get busy - I had told hubby I would make eggs ole' for him to take to his bible study tis morning as they were having a brunch.  So of course that took time, then I had to make salsa to go with it, cause I talked myself out of it last night.  But it gnawed as me and I had to make some.  And then my pan was too small so had to put some in another dish - but the other dish was too full, and I'm afraid it didn't get done all the way, but it probably did...... and then I had things I had to do for work, and had a meeting at 8AM I had to jump on to - and and and.... whew.  I'm still in my pajamas.  Got to change and get moving as in 45 minutes I need to leave for my oral surgeon's office for the post op!  Then I can semi-calm now.  I did stop to eat some eggs ole' myself out of the small pan I kept here at home. :-) And it was good and filling.

So was that a good enough excuse to be a little late this morning?  At least I'm stopping to write before I run into the other room to get dressed.  Need to let my bosses know I'll be out for at least an hour.  At least the oral surgeon is only 6-8 minutes away from me.

My daughter's surgery got cancelled for today - rather - it got postponed until February 7th.  She caught a cold over the weekend and there was no way they were doing any surgery with her having a cold.  She took a covid test but that came back negative.  That is good.  But in the meantime, she has to deal with the cold, get more labs done and another clearance from her PCP as her labs will be over 30 days.  Silly, isn't it, cause not that much is going to change in 30 days.  Oh well.  At least it got rescheduled 3 weeks away.

I guess it's pretty cold back east... saw a post last night my little brother is having trouble keeping his house warm.  Will check on him later today if I get a chance.  I know I can't do anything, but it is always reassuring that they are ok.  They can always go to a hotel if it gets too cold.  Can you imagine the heating bills for everyone back there?

I was praying Psalm 91 over my family this morning and I love how it says in the Passion Translation:

Psalm 91:14-16 (TPT):  "For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: Because you loved me, delighted in me, and have been loyal to my name, I will greatly protect you.  I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor; I will satisfy you with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!"

Life can't get any better than knowing the Lord has your back!   Grab your bibles and pray Psalm 91 over your family.  Ask God to cover them with His holy hand; that He would look upon them in any troubles and any confusion and any disturbance.... and will help them.  Ask for His blessings to fall upon them and bring them peace and joy.  And ask for their salvation to be found in Him.

There is no greater joy than for a parent to know that their child is walking with the Lord.

Blessings!
