Yes, He is enough,

more than enough, always enough.  What am I saying?  That song has been running through my mind as I went to sleep last night, and still as I woke up this morning.  "Jireh, You are enough.  Jireh, You are enough.  I will be content, in every circumstance.  Jireh, You are enough.  Jireh, You are enough, more than enough, always enough....."   Jehovah Jireh means The Lord will provide, and this song tells me just that.  He is enough, more than enough, always enough.  He has been my constant reminder the last couple of days that no matter what I go through, He is always enough for me.   He is my constant companion.  He is the joy in my soul.  He is everything to me.  Just like Paul says...

Philippians 4:11-13 (NKJV):  "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:  I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound.  Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

"for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content".  What does that mean?  No matter if I have money for our needs or for extras... no matter if I have a huge big home or a small shack to live in... no matter if I have a nice car to drive or have to walk... no matter if my family cuts me off or loves me... no matter if friends desert me or I have plenty... No.Matter.What.   When I have Jesus living in me, I have all that I need.  I am content.  My joy comes from the Lord, not from material things or from people.

Yes, people hurt people.  I think it will always happen... it has happened forever.  Think of Adam and Eve hurting God when they ate of the fruit!  From the beginning of time... people have hurt people and tried to be what God did not create them to be... in control.  But we are to be content with what we have and with Whose we are.  And if Jesus lives in us, we all should be content, in every circumstance.  Jehovah Jireh, He is enough.

I love how God will send parts of songs to me when difficulties come at me.  When trials come.  When life hurts.  Have you noticed He does that to you as well?  You are going through a difficult time, and a verse you learned in your youth or a song you sung in church one time will come to mind... even if it is only "Jesus loves me, this I know!  For the Bible tells me so.  Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but He is strong.  Yes, Jesus loves me!  Yes, Jesus loves me!  Yes, Jesus loves me!  The Bible tells me so!"

It's from these things that remind us that we are His and that He loves us unconditionally.  He is always there to help through the tough times.

I received a very blunt email from my sister last nite that was titled 'Album' and just said..."Your album is on the way. Next week I'll send your box."   I know about the album.... our older sister had made several albums of our ancestors and of us.  The album she speaks of has photos of our (real) dad... she had made one for each of us after I had one made for each of us after Mother passed.  When there, she had asked if I wanted it, and I commented that I would take it if no one else wanted it.  That's the only album I would take.  But a box?  I have no idea what she is putting it a box.  So I sent her $100 via Zelle to pay for shipping, and thanked her for sending the album, but I didn't know what box she was talking about.  I had boxed up everything and shipped it before we left to come home.  I left nothing there for her to send to me.  I'm going to guess - and I can very well be wrong.... she may be boxing up the quilt I originally took but forgot to put in my shipped box and told her she could have it.  She may even throw in some things I have given her in the past... she does that when she hates me... she returns gifts... and then asks for them back when she is speaking to me.  I really have no idea what she could be sending to me in a 'box'.  I know we left several boxes there that we had used to pack things up as we didn't need them.  Am going to assume she is using those. Well, since I sent her shipping money, she may send it soon too.  It will be a 'surprise'!   Not one I am anxious to receive, but a surprise, nevertheless.

"I will be content, in every circumstance, Jireh, You are enough...."

Are you going through something right now that troubles you?  Do you feel you are missing out on something?  Trust me... this time next month you won't even be thinking about it.  Things have a way of working out for the best.  Money tight?  Review how you spend it.  (Yep, I've managed to save some money just because I told myself to QUIT SPENDING IT ON FRIVILOUS THINGS YOU DON'T NEED)  Job issues?  Ask God to provide what you need in that job.  Kids driving you crazy?  Stop and listen to what they are saying... they may just want your attention, your advice.  Siblings distancing themselves from you or you from them?  Sometimes that is ok.  We sometimes needs to open our eyes to see those who are toxic to us and step back.  Not to say we shouldn't include them in our lives, but that we don't need to be 'best friends'.

Trust me on that one.  I look back over the last several years and I fell for the 'best friend' comments... and they weren't true.  I tolerated much... I gave much.... and that is what we are called to do... but sometimes, we need to step back and NOT be that 'best friend', but just be a friend when they need one. And it will happen in time.  Siblings you will always be.  Best friends, not always.

So glad this long-short week is nearly over!  Yesterday was a 'long' day in that one boss was on PTO, the other was in back-to-back meetings and we didn't have time to touch base much.  I COULD have read up on One Drive, that I am having to learn... but talked myself out of that.  I worked for awhile on untangling some yarn that I had.  I DID exercise some... Truly!!  I'm feeling it some today as well.  Got to do more today.  I even managed to do it and hubby didn't 'catch' me!  Obviously I didn't do much, but one can do squats and lunges (ouch) and I can lift my smaller weights back here in my room.  I need to strengthen, not necessarily BUILD muscles!

A granddaughter invited us out for dinner tonight with her family and her parents.  I hope to get ther ea little early to let the waitress know we are paying for our own meal.  I would rather be invited out often to have dinner with someone and pay our own way, than for them to feel they have to save up to include us.  I love being with my children and grandchildren.  I'm ok with paying our own bill.  I want to be part of their lives and to hear how they are doing.  If we pay our own, then perhaps we will be invited more often.  Or not.  Either way... it's ok.  I just don't want to be a burden for anyone.  Nor an obligation.  And no, this isn't a hint or a guilt trip.  You do your part. :-)

With Jesus, I am content, for He always gives me all that I need.  Doesn't matter what it is.  He is Jehovah Jireh, The Lord will provide.

And Jehovah Jireh will provide for you as well.  Not always what you WANT.... but always what you NEED.

Blessings!
